Checking Text In Search Engines Software Asap

January 11th, 2012 Comments off

I need an experienced programmer with good feedback score on scriptlance.com to develop a Windows-compatible software that will split text into phrases, send phrases to search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing) and based on the number of searches found will color-code and amend the original text.

This video (12+ min) shows the task description and explains how the software should work:

Automatic Price Checking Script

November 6th, 2011 Comments off

I am looking for a script that automatically checks x websites and collects some specific price data for me for comparison.

Script should be as light weight as possible.

Export format should be similar to the Easy Populate script .csv based on Oscommerce.

Both OSCommerce & Mysql knowledge is required.

Script can possibly be directly linked to my Database for direct changing of prices – this is quite alot more advanced and might cause extra workload (not accepted) on my site.

Programmer will have to share his ideas on the matter.

Be fluent in English.

Oracle Daily Checking Shell Script

October 14th, 2011 Comments off

I’m looking for shell script development services on HP-UX, basically i have some requirement to developer some monitoring script for our databases (Oracle) on menu base, to simplify the daily checking for our support team

I have number of cluster servers, in each server number of database, ssh equivalence is enabled between all the servers, so i can run any command across all the servers without the need to enter the password, so i need the script to be able to run some executable or binary from the existing node or across other nodes

I’m thinking to have this script to run as menu, showing me the status of the database instances by running this command for example:

ps -ef | grep pmon

also i need to view the entries for the last 24 hrs or last day for some logs files:

check the log_example.txt

I need also to add some menu commands the will show the output of .sql script .

Checking Linux Web Server 2

October 11th, 2011 Comments off

I need a linux expert to check my webserver.
Starting some days ago the server is very slow. And it looks like it is low on memory although nothing has changed. One of the things noticed is that SMTP server stopped spontaniously (I have restarted it through the Plesk admin panel and it keeps running now)
So I need a total checkup on the server to make it run like it should again.
Server information
Linux 2.6.27.29-0.1
AuthenticAMD, Dual-Core AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 1210 HE
1 GB memory
Plesk 9.5.3 (maybe this should be upgraded to 10?)
I have Module Magic Spam installed and upgrated to the latest version.
Horde webmail is having some problem, like I can’t save a message as draft. Gives me an error message: Access denied for APPEND on INBOX. (ACL “i” required) Maybe Horde should be upgraded too?
YES I have root access to the server.

Ajax Stock Checking Zen Cart

October 22nd, 2009 Comments off

You must be a Zen Cart expert please.

I need to check stock level in my DB (This is held for items with attributes in Attribute controller and items without attributes in Product quantity fields)

then when a customer looks at the page and changes the
current Javascript product changer to any product out of stock
the drop down should show this and the
ADD TO CART button should not be accessable until the user changes the drop down (or clicks image) back to stock available.

I hope to view a test of this first before going on my site Live
as we are trading and recieving orders daily right now.

Our problem is that people dont know we are out of stock of items with ATTRIBUTES until they get to the shopping cart which is very annoying.

Email Checking

Application needed to check existing email addresses on database are valid.

Create a page. When “run” is clicked, application checks all emails on database, and deletes any contact that has invalid email address from database).

Add a tick box called “do not delete”. If tick box is ticked, application does not delete contact when it finds an invalid email. Instead, it only deletes the email address from database, and still leaves the contact on the database.

Program Using Queues In C

The Problem
A university lacks a credible grocery store on campus. After a year of getting lousy over-priced food in the convenience store in the Student Union, you and all of your friends are frustrated. One of your friends majoring in business comes up with the brilliant idea of opening a grocery store on campus. But, they need your help to decide if their idea is viable or not. Your job will be to run various simulations of customers in line.

The model for the store is as follows:

Normally, there will be three lines in operation or customers to buy their groceries. Each line will have a capacity of 8 customers. The first line (line A) will only be for customers with 10 or fewer items. The other two lines (line B and C) will be for all customers. When a customer is ready to check out, here is how they decide what line to go to:

If the customer has 10 or fewer items and the

Spelling/link Checking Crawler

June 30th, 2009 Comments off

I’m looking for bids for setting up a script + HTML that will end up having one entry box, a button and an output box that do the following:

Entry box: Random person enters a URL (i.e. google.com)
Button: Submit
Out-put Box: Red underlines any spelling errors found on that site as well as has another section that lists any broken links (links on the website that lead to 404 pages).

Basically it’s a ”check your website for spelling/link errors” script, I’m not sure what publicly available spell checking references there are, but if there’s several you can use I’d also like the drop-down box option of choosing what English settings to use (i.e. Canada vs USA for words like ”color” etc.).

I would like just the functionality with the most basic HTML done, I can customize the look of it on my own later, just need the back-end and bare bones front-end and have you plug it into my Hostgator site.

Thank you

Simple Email Checking Bot

June 29th, 2009 Comments off

hi, thanks for looking at my project.

I need a bot made that will log into an email account…look for a certain email…open the email…click a link and the click a few buttons.

i need the bot to totally emulate a browser. i’d like it to be able to rotate through several different browser headers..such as ie7..ff3..ff2..etc to lessen the footprints. it has to emulate clicking the buttons and going through the browser windows in order to lessen the footprints as well. any other thoughts on making it untraceable i am open to.

i need the bot to be able to be on a timer…such as “check the emails every 2 minutes.” or whatever time i choose….going by the minute is fine.

i would also like it to be able to use dialup networking so i may change ip’s if i need to. so, for example..for every 2 emails…the bot would drop the DUN’s connection….redial….wait for the new connection ..and proceed. but, i would like this to be an option…such as activated or not.

i would also like it to be able to run an external program after every “checked email” or a certain number of “checked emails”. the program is ccleaner. you can run this from the command line, which shouldnt be a big deal.

this should be pretty easy for someone that knows what theyre doing.

i also will own the code to this and this is not to be resold under any circumstances.

Isbn Validation

May 6th, 2009 Comments off

Need a program that validates both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 from user input. Must follow the instruction below, its an assignment for a class and I have a family emergency I have to go out of town for and don’t know how else to get it done. The instructions are as follows:

INSTRUCTIONS

Write a program which asks for an ISBN number, then strips the
last digit (saving it) then re-calculates that last (check) digit from
the rest of the number. If they match, the function will validate the
ISBN number, otherwise the function will sound an alarm. See the bottom of this file for some sample runs.

Specific directions:

Create a function:

bool chk_isbn(string)

which receives a String Object containing user keyboard input. If the
user is in hir right mind and the keyboard is cooperating, the string
SHOULD contain a valid ISBN (International Standard Book Number).
The chk_isbn() function should parse the number, and calculate the
check digit from the first 10 data characters, ignoring dashes, spaces, and all non-digits in the first 9 columns. Once it has calculated the check digit, it should compare its answer with the check digit in the last column of the String Object. If they agree, the function should return true, otherwise it should return false.

Include a main() function which exercises the chk_isbn()
function, accepting command-line or interactive input from
the user. CLEAN UP THE USER INPUT so that what you pass to the
chk_isbn() function is ONLY a string of digits, no hyphens
or any other non-digit characters.

Your program will be tested against valid ISBNs from the real world,
and invalid ones. It should give the proper output in all cases.

Samples of VALID input:

“0-321-40939-6″
“ISBN 0-321-40939-6″
“ISBN 0 321 40939 6″
“0.321.40939.6″
“0321409396″

See the situation here? We are accepting input from USERS, and about
all we can demand from a USER is that s/he gets the digits right.
They will use any random character for the separator, or none at all,
so we have to write our code to cope. If a user can break our software, or get it to emit the wrong answer, we lose.

So your first task will be to “condition” the input. Lucky for
you, you’re taking this into a string object, and strings have the
string.erase(start, length) method to make it easy to “remove” characters from the string which don’t belong there using something like:

for ( int x = 0 ; x < 10 ; x++)
if (!isdigit(stringvar[x])
stringvar.erase(x, 1) ;

We ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have our USERS enter their input into
CHARACTER STRINGS. Then, if we are expecting a number from
them, we can examine and “validate” user input before risking
our program’s health by computing with unknown input.

USERS take a little management, and the programmer who learns
this Grate Trooth early will avoid much heayd hoortingz.

Here is some background information on ISBNs, which
illustrates how often even “learned” posters don’t
validate their factoids:

“ISBN is the abbreviation for the International Standard Book
Number. ISBN numbers are 10 digits in length. In an ISBN of
the form X-XX-XXXXXX-X:

-The first block of digits on the left represents the language
of the book (0 is used to represent English). This block is
usually 1 digit in length.

-The second block of digits represents the publisher. This
block is usually 2 or 3 digits in length

-The third block of digits represents is the number assigned
to the book by the publishing company. This is usually 5 or
6 digits in length.

-The fourth block consists of the check digit.”
(from: http://www.cs.queensu.ca/~bradbury/checkdigit/isbncheck.htm)

“An International Standard Book Number consists of 10 characters of information, organized into 4 groups with adjacent groups separated by a dash character.

The first group identifies the continent of publication,
the second group identifies the publisher,
the third group is the book number that the publisher assigns and
the last group with one character is a check digit determined by an algorithm.

Each non dash character, except possibly the last is a digit.

The last is either a digit or the character X for ten.

The value of the check digit comes from the following algorithm.

The ISBN is a number composed of digits 0-9 and X in
either 10 or 13 columns. The LAST COLUMN contains a
“check digit” which is computed from the other 9 or 12
digits. It is computed in a way that will reveal if
numbers are transposed (swapped) by careless humans.

Initialize sum to zero.
for i from 1 to 9(length of number string)
Calculate C = the number in COLUMN number i * COLUMN
Increase the sum by the product of the COLUMN and the value
of the digit in column i of the book number.
Reduce the sum mod 11.
(Replace the sum by its remainder when you divide the sum by 11.)
The value of the check digit C equals 11 – sum mod 11.
If C is 10, then C = the character X>

Example:
I will write down an arbitrary 9 digit number and compute its check digit.
digits = 918273645

Simulate the algorithm.

i digit[ i ] sum
0
1 9 0 + 9 * ( 11 – 1 ) = 90 mod 11 = 2
2 1 2 + 1 * ( 11 – 2 ) = 2 + 9 mod 11 = 11 mod 11 = 0
3 8 0 + 8 * ( 11 – 3 ) = 0 + 64 mod 11 = 64 mod 11 = 9
4 2 9 + 2 * ( 11 – 4 ) = 9 + 14 mod 11 = 23 mod 11 = 1
5 7 1 + 7 * ( 11 – 5 ) = 1 + 42 mod 11 = 43 mod 11 = 10
6 3 10 + 3 * ( 11 – 6 ) = 10 + 15 mod 11 = 25 mod 11 = 3
7 6 3 + 6 * ( 11 – 7 ) = 3 + 24 mod 11 = 27 mod 11 = 5
8 4 5 + 4 * ( 11 – 8 ) = 5 + 12 mod 11 = 17 mod 11 = 6
9 5 6 + 5 * ( 11 – 9 ) = 6 = 10 mod 11 = 16 mod 11 = 5

C = 11 – 5 mod 11 = 6 “

from: http://www.cbu.edu/~yanushka/j0/n.3

Extra Credit: on your own, research and impliment ISBN-13 logic,
and write your program so that it can process either ISBN-10 or
ISBN-13 without any special input from the user other than the number
itself.

Sample data I will use to test your programs:

0-13-615250-3
0-13-615250-8
0-13-613950-X
0-13-615250-X
–0—13-6–15–250-3
0–13—6 152 50.3

…and similar.

Magento Calling Card Feature

April 8th, 2009 Comments off

Magento Features to sell virtual goods which is a group of Unique code.
1. A typical sample will be prepaid telephone calling cards. The prepaid telephone calling cards are a set of unique PIN and password, they are created by the phonecard system. So those PIN/password pairs have to be uploaded to the store either through a file, manually, or by progrmaming magento to grasp from outside database. Furthermore, those PIN/password pairs will be sent out by email once payment is collected. For further develepment flexibility, the best description for a such product similar to ?calling card? might be a adjustable turple (v1, v2, v3, ….). Then, for prepaid phonecard, it will be a turple with two elements: (PIN, password); for refilling card, it will be a turple with one element: (PIN); for software activation code, it also might be a turple with two elements: (code, expiration date); for some other product,, such as paid membership, computer gaming keys, etc, it might be a turple with three, four, or what ever elements.
2. Let’s continue the story about prepaid telephone calling card sample. Usually, there are different types of cards, each type has multiple codes with the same price. Say, type one, good for making calls to England, $10/card, there are 100 cards for sale; Type two, good for making calls to China, $8/card, there are 200 cards for sale; and so on. Also, the phonecard PIN/password need to be sent out to cutomer?s email account once the payment is collected.
I found the above requirement can be implemented as a virtual product, the PIN/password can be sent to customer?s email in the virtual product?s SKU field. The problem is, when a customer select multiple one kind of phone cards to his/her cart, say, type one,10 cards, he/she will receive the invoice email with cost of 10 phonecards, that’s $100, but only ONE SKU(PIN/password) in his/her email invoice!!!!!, that will cause big problem. Because what the customer supposed to receive is 10 PIN/password pairs.
3. Although we can set up the quantity in stock as 1 for each card to force the customer can only buy one card for that PIN/password, that will confuse the customer if he/she wants to buy more than card when he/she tries to update his/her shopping cart before checking out.
4. Unirgy every developed a gift certificate/virtual card extention at http://www.magentocommerce.com/extension/751/gift-certificates–virtual-cards. Problem with this extension is,
A) it does not accept unique codes from third paryt. It generates Unique code/password pairs randomly.
B) the code/password from this extension could be used as coupons. Thus it cannot be used to sell unique codes as described above. Since it can be used as coupon code to credit back some money from the cart total when checking out. Spammer/hacker can buy one PIN/password and use it to make international phone call. Meanwhile, he/she can come back to buy another pair of PIN/password. when checking out, he/she can use the previously bought pair to credit all the payment from the cart total. If he/she contiunes, he/she can get all PIN/password pairs in the store by paying once!!!!
Hope this is developed as an extension, based on virtual product. detailed documentaiton is neede. Serious bid only.

Thanks very much!

Andrew
