Need chat room script that handles text and video/audio at same time – users can choose to type and/or use their computer web cam to interact via video at any time. This will be integrated into a current website – the script has to be able to work in different instances, for different usergroups, differentiated by an id such as ?groupid=#. Each usergroup has a list of members which have joined via the website application already in place – this list of members will be the list of members available in the chat room – the script will have to read which members are online. The website uses session variables for users.

If the user is already logged in the website, the first login screen of the chat room script should not show – it should read the user’s session. We will integrate the script into the website ourselves – you provide the information on installation, how it works, etc. – full escrow will be made upon picking programmer, payment to be released after we integrated it into website and confirmed it to work with the website as specified here. I’d like to setup a fairly simple chat room for my users. Phase 1 is a single common “group” room where you login with userid/password from an existing database (you’ll ping that db to confirm their uname/pwd combo and let them in or deny based on the db response). Phase 2 is MULTIPLE (themed) rooms that either once logged in you can access OR you have to login to join the specific room (should be easy after Phase 1). Phase 3 is to add private chat, user to user, by being able to click on a user in the chat room and iniiate a private chat.

Phase 1 is of course my first priority. Please include a reference site with a chat room you have done with your bid.

Hey guys.. Looking for any chat room script installed. Any will do. The only things I am looking for is to be able to have admin logins for the guests chatting. Also must be able to use black, red and white as the colors. I would also like the chat room script to work on the page I provide. Must be windows and mac compatible. I have looked and know there are many out there. So just looking for someone to find a script for a chat room and install on the page I give you.

I want to create a Web site with multiple chat rooms based on XMPP open-source server software such as Openfire.

Requirements:

1. Ajax client. Does not need ANY client software beyond a browser (no Java, no Flash).

2. Users require a user name and password, which any visitor can create.

3. Users can create their own chat rooms and assign a password to the room.

4. IMPORTANT: Each chat room has its own unique Web address. If you have a user account, you can enter the chat room merely by visiting that unique Web address or clicking a link sent in email. (For example, rooms you create at www.webchattr.com are like this.) If users who click the link are not already registered, they are first prompted to join before they can enter.

5. Chat rooms must have an “Ignore User” function.

6. Revenue will be generated from banners and Google AdSense.

7. Solution must be built on a highly scalable open source foundation.

8. Optional: All users that create a room can also delete a room or change the room’s password.

9. Optional. Video capabilities for chat rooms. Users can see approx. six other users at a time. Every video feed is labeled with the appropriate user’s name.

Banners and Google ads are displayed only chat pages, not the home page.

Q4. If the rooms are password protected, is it that only invited users can join the room ?

No, anyone with the password can join the room. Some recipients of an invitation might not be members. They will click on a room link and be required to create an account before connecting to the chat room.

I need to design and market a new website. The website will be a chat room where members can meet and talk about a specific topic. The individual chat rooms will be sorted by country,city,area.
