This is something new…..a new concept.

I have a goal to bring true altruism back to the business of charities. It’s become less about the needy and more about raising money and large salaries for the administrators. My purpose is to make it easy for people to want to donate to a specific cause have the information and be able to easily donate in a fun way to charities that have low overhead and focus on the programs.

A charity website that acts like a “seal of approval” for charities that follow the guidelines.

I want a clean looking site that focuses on donations and our mission. That allows us to have separate pages on the individual charities.

I want the focus to be on a donation form that has to have great design, is fun and easy to use. My thought is to use javascript.

The donation flow in my initial thought is something like this:

1. Your Name and Address

2. The amount you want to donate

3. A radio button if you want to make a restricted donation
If the donation is restricted, then a slider is activated allowing the donor to decide the max. % amount of the donation that can be used for admin. expenses.

It should show the donor the actual dollar amount authorized for admin and for programs.

4. There should be a radio button to make a general donation spread among all the charities or to select the charities you want to donate from a list. I see the list as a closeable div. or a list that you can drag and drop charities into your list of donations. The list should have a hover state on the charity to get additional information on it click on it and a possible modal that you get the full charity info with a linkout to their site in another browser window

5. Multiple payment choices with reoccurring option

6. Account password and whether they want their donations to show as their name or anonymous

7. Their account will keep a listing of all their donations and totals, etc.

The home page should show:

Top donors for the day / Month / year / total

It should show the full amount donated.

Charities will have their own page on the front end and will have an account to agree to the terms / mission when they request approval as an approved charity. They also will have a backend that will provide the amount the charity has received.

We will also have a backend showing financials and charity info, etc. The backend should be a well thought out UI and not something looking out of 1995.

Need a customized php/ajaxed social networking site that integrates with twitter & facebook.

Purpose of the site is to encourage people to raise money for various Canadian charities through fundraisers that benefit the person doing the fundraising, the selected registered charity (csv file of valid charities to be supplied) and my company.

Using an existing social networking script is fine but it will need to be customized for the purpose.

Specific requirements are:

* Logo & theme design
* New fundraisers need to be posted on homepage along with fundraising leaders
* People doing the fundraising need to be able to choose (perhaps with a slider) how much of each dollar raised will go to their selected cause and how much they want to earn, for instance “80% of proceeds to X for cancer research” – this data also needs to be collected and saved so that my company can make payments & donations to the appropriate parties.
* Integration with Twitter & Facebook so that individual fundraisers can announce their project and progress to their friends
* Must be able to update list of registered charities from time to time as per canada revenue agency approved charities

I recently purchased penny auction software and need several items reconfigured. This is for charity fundraising and we need someone who can do this and do it right. Our reputation will be on the line. The software has been installed and some graphics, etc. have been added. The information has all been added.
What we now need it to reconfigure the code to be able to offer auctions after purchasing bid packs. We’ll need someone to code it so that we can have the proper amount of time added after the system has timed below 15 seconds to always move back to 15 seconds when a bid is placed. There are also some obvious code errors in the scripting. There are a few other things that need to be done. What we are interested in is someone who will complete everything and work on a commission basis once we go live. If this is possible for you, please tell us what percentage you would think you should get. This amount will be for as long as this site lasts. In other words, if we give you 2% of the net proceeds from all auctions, you could net several hundred dollars a day. Or you could set a specific amount and that would be paid from the proceeds of the auctions. The reason for this is that we are setting it up to be owned by the charity and we are fronting the expense to get this started and are also working in exchange for a percentage of the profits from the auctions. We understand that building it and running it are not going to guarantee bidders come on board. Our charity site gets over 1000 unique visitors a month and have had over 12 million hits this year. I am interested in funding a special Facebook application.

The application would require the following abilities:

Integration of affiliate vendor systems (OfferPal, SuperRewards, Gambit, ect) that credits Facebook users with earned funds.

Charities would also be able to subscribe to the application, and assign values to gifts given to them (such as a food bank being able to input that $0.35USD provides 1 meal to a needy person).

Inside their user panel, the Facebook user would be able to designate their earnings to go towards admin-defined charities.

When the user earns money through the affiliate offer, a note is published to their friend feed advising their friends of the amount of donation in units to the charity (e.g. ‘I just fed 3 meals to starving kids in my city!’)

Finally, the system would allow for users to receive a printable certificate displaying how much they have given to their charity.

There are more aspects to the application, but these are the primary goals.

In a nutshell:

- Integrate affiliate vendors into a Facebook UI
- Build a user control panel that allows them to designate charities to give to, as well as view statistics about gifts they have given
- Allow for charities to register to receive funds earned

Looking to bid out a WordPress based job creating a 3 column site. I’ve taken the site as far as I can with the knowledge that I have, but in need of a real pro. This is for a start-up charitable organization, still in the process of filing its 501(c)3 with the US IRS. When it goes through we can even negotiate a tax deductible receipt for you, but only after it goes through government approval. This could be many weeks away yet, so please bid as if that is not an option.

The charity is based on helping homeless people in the USA. We would like our site to have a black background with maroon headers and white content. You can see what we have here: www.beerandacondom.org.

Currently we are using a modified mushblue theme from Mu. Our site needs three columns and multiple author pages with author bylines and possible pictures appearing on posts. We also want the background image to be brick like it currently is. We need to have a widget of a beer bottle on the furthest column that will fill as donations are rendered. The site needs to be widget and plugin friendly and easily upgradable with WordPress upgrades.

We also would like a page with an up-datable calendar and the current page hierarchy we have. One thing we don’t currently have available is sub pages which are accessible from the header. We want these to show up under the parent category, but not as a typical drop down menu. We really want something that POPS.

While I’m at it if the same person can create our banner with a cartoon carachture of a homeless person sitting on a curb with a cardboard sign saying our name, that goes outside the wordpress box. We want this person to be targeted in a snipers target (flash) going about the entire banner. If this can be included in the project than all the better. The more work to be completed the higher the budget.

Like I said this is for a start-up charity with a funny name, but with a very serious mission. We are doing this with our own money and there is not a lot to spend.

Trying to find someone who is willing to donate some time to create a fully functioning freebie site that will be used for charity. Looking for it to allow auto purchase and ship (PayPal payments) via sites like Amazon or the like (basically to keep administrative costs as close to zero as possible). Details on the charity are available, however not openly discussed here for privacy reasons – before any work is completed a very simple non-disclosure would be required (not a one way agreement).

Looking for something that is a fully functional script (maybe you already have one). We offer freebies, they get awards – phone validation required, paypal usage, prefer auto ordering (not required), and the ability for us to easily add custom items (specific to the charity).
