I have uninstall plugins before but the WP Super cache plugin is a pain to uninstall because I need to dabble with .htaccess etc.. something that I am not willing to do because I am not a techy kinda person.

The below function clears the cakephp cache folder. After the function below I need to pause for 10 seconds to allow time for the files to recreate then chmod the files in this folder back to 777. How can I add this code to the below function to do this

Login as an administrator to your WordPress Admin account. I have Eaccelerator cache turned on inside joomla configuration, and because of that every time i load you vote, the UPDATED votes aren’t displayed when you visit the category pages until the cache expires (every 40 min). I want someone to fix the issue by making the necessary modification with the rating script. Its a pretty simple job, so don’t bid higher than my budget, because i WILL NOT pick you. I have problem that requires somebody with mvc expertise with ajax and json knowledge.

i have a program where clicking a button should trigger a function that adds a row to a database and then puts that as json in the cache but it’s not always working.. only 90% of the time, 10% of the clicks the database is updated, but the cache no.

Site is slow. Auto inventory is included using php from a third party server. I need to wget the pages or cache them some other way so that they are accessable on the local server. The local pages need to be included on the site in the same manner as I am including from the other server now.

We need a firefox plugin that will allow the user to see the Google Pagerank and Google Cache of a blog listed in our software.

We run a site called sponsoredreviews.com. Our advertisers can buy blog reviews and links from over 30,000 blogs in our system. We currently grab the Google pagerank and check to see if each blog is cached in Google. Unfortunatly, Google is constantly changing pagerank and removing blogs from their cache, so our data is often outdate.

We want a firefox plugin developed that will allow our advertiser to browse through the list of blogs in our system and have the plugin automatically gather the current pagerank and whether or not the blog is cached in Google.

The plugin will look at every blog listed on the page and markup the page with the current pagerank and google cache (yes or no) next to the listed blog. This needs to be done on the fly as the advertiser is browsing through our list of blogs. There should be some sort of indicator to show when the plugin is looking for the pagerank until it actually finds it.

It would be nice if the plugin could store all of the lookups it is doing in the background so that it only checks each blog once per day.

Please respond if you have experience with firefox plugins/Add ons. You will also need the ability to check Google pagerank and use the cache: function in google to see if the page is currently cached.

I have an issue on my site with the caching headers being sent by PHP. It’s caching too much.

However, as an administrator I see an Admin CP link when I’m browsing the site… Every single time I visit the site the first page that loads is never the correct one for me. It will never show the Admin CP link, if I’m on the forums it’ll sometimes show that I can’t reply to a thread even though I’m logged in.

I believe that the headers are the issue, perhaps the proxy cache is being loaded when it shouldn’t be.

I need someone who knows what they’re doing who can adjust the headers appropriately. I need to maintain the ability to use back/forward on the browser buttons and for the server to load the cache instead of a fresh new page.

My osCommerce website has an on-the-fly auto resizer/thumbnailer for images. It currently works excellent also with my watermarks.
The only problem is that it uses a lot of CPU resources when many people are visiting the site at the same time as it resizes each picture on every page hit without caching, which slows down the server.
The fix this – I want to modify the code to cache the thumbnails on the server AND to cache it in the end-users’ browsers so that if an image has already been resized before – it will be retrieved from
a) If exist in the user browser – will retrieved from there.
else
b) If exist in the cache folder on the server – will be retrieved from there.

otherwise, if not yet exist anywhere, the resizer will create a new thumbnail that will be displayed to the end user and saved in his browser AND also saved in the cache directory on the server of course.

Also there should be a cleanup function that checks if the original photo was changed because sometimes we overwrite old photos with new better ones so I obviously don’t want the end-user to see an old out-dated photo that is retrieved from the cache, but a new thumbnail should be created in such a case and the old one removed from the cache.

I am aware that there are already osCommerce contributions that do all that, but I don’t want to use those because my website is quite heavily modified with different image processing functions for different files, I want to modify my current resizer to do what I wrote above.

Hi. If you have experience with Magento, you’re likely to have come across this this problem before.

When using Magento with a large number of products it falls over itself when trying to refresh cache. Most of this problem is caused by a timeout error based on what the host allows.

I’m looking to see if there is anyone that thinks it is possible to produce a simple extension that splits up the task of refreshing the cache via for example javascript or some other language with maybe a simple staus bar showing progress. For my store that has approx 15,000 products I can refresh the cache via ssh, but it would be much easier performing it via the store admin. In my example it still takes about 15 minutes.

I don’t even know if this is even possible so let me know if you think it can be acheived.

I don’t want to spend much on this really, but let me know if you think you can do it.

Am trying to optimize the script on my site. Pages are loading slowly now, depending on traffic levels. Have not been able to improve things by working at the server level. Need a programmer experienced with Smarty cache. Someone who can rework the smarty set-up so that the static parts of the page are cached using the smarty cache. The script needs to have the ability to configure the number of results shown on each page. For example, I could set it to only display the 3 most recent entries or the 10 most recent entries.

The script should take a single keyword from the page, and then retrieve the RSS feed for that page. The keyword to be searched will be set by another PHP variable. When designing the script, the script should retrieve “$twitter_keyword” for the keywords to be searched.

Finally, the script should save the list of author names and URLs to a MySQL db. The script should build a list of all author names found in the RSS feed (regardless if they display or not), and then check the list of authors for duplicates. All new authors should then be added to the database.

I need a lot of backend work done on a script of mine, which is for flash games. The script has recently been modified, but I would like it optimized more.

1. Speed optimization of the script to load things much quicker. May also need to be redone after all the following requirements are completed.

2. A Comments section was just added recently on the new modified script. There is an backend moderation system where I could moderate and see all the comments. What I need is to be able to have comments held in moderation if there are certain keywords that triggers the script. For example, if a person cusses in a comment, I would like that comment sent to moderation in the backend rather than it showing live.

3. “REPORT BROKEN” is a feature that was just done by me and what it does is allow any one to click on it if the game is not working or loading. The backend shows me what games have been reported, but it does not tell me what IP or what USER did it. If a member repoted the link, I would like an automated PM sent to that USER the moment I click “FIXED” in the backend.

4. Certain games do not load on the first load, so I would like an area where a user could click “RELOAD GAME” without the whole page reloading. Instead, only the SWF file would reload.

5. Any person can register an account on the website, but I need the ability of the user accounts to also show the “IP ADDRESS” in the backend. What I would like to do with the IP is be able to check if there has been more than one account created. In addition to that, I would like the ability to search for members with “IP”. Currently it is only with “NAME”.

6. In regards to the above, I would like to have the ability to ban permanently, block for X days, block for X hours with the IP.

7. When any visitors clicks a game link, it brings the viewer straight to the “GAME PLAY PAGE”. Instead, I would like to have the ability to have a “PRE-GAME LOADING SCREEN” for non-registered users. This would mean there would be a slight advertisement for X seconds before the SWF game shows. The game should show without the page reloading. I am assuming this could be done either by Java, CSS, or AJAX. I also would like the ability to control the amount of times the “pRE-GAME LOADING SCREEN” is shown by percentage intervals of 25/50/75/100.

8. Current sitemap has problems and errors when shown in Google Webmaster Tools. I need the sitemap redone properly.

9. Implementation of RSS is needed for Latest Games and for each category on the site. Each category should have its own RSS feed, but the main one would be “Latest Games”. I would like to use feedburner for this.

10. The flash game site is turning into more of a social website now, so this particular job may be difficult. After completing all of the above, I would like a “LIVE QUERIES” script that would show what game is being played, who is playing what, what game was just rated, who just left a comment, last comment, etc. This should basically pull from the database and update live as things are being inserted in the other areas of the site.

11. There was previously a “CACHE” system on the script, but was removed. I still have all the files and would like to have the cache system reinstated, but edited and modified. I would like the cache system to work wonderfully and not block any updates I do including adding new content or deleting old content.

I need a php library developed that can sign into http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/ with a Windows Live account (link is at the top right corner) and then cache the session on the server so that content/pages only available to logged in users can be accessed easily.

It should include a function that checks if it is still logged in to sign in again if it’s not.

I would like to develop a product that will allow parents and business owners to control what web sites their children or employees may access. It will work like this:

New customers will visit my site and create a new account at which time the customer will be issued a unique ID. During sign-up, the customer will also create a login ID and password, along with providing basic contact information such as email address.

We currently have a shop that offers members (and non-members) the ability to download wallpaper from our site. To date here is what we modified in our store:

osCommerce v. 2.2 RC1

1. Converted all pages to a table less design using css.
2. Completely changed the look and feel of display.
3. Changed how data for an item is stored. No longer is product atributes needed. Also modified a products info page that displays 5 reviews and also has a details page about a product.
4. Almost everything is stored in some sort of cache to not only lower queries but to also lower bandwidth, load time, and speed up actual necessary queries (ex. login info, advertisements, etc.).

What we need done is the following:

1. Re-code everything to use the absolute least amount of queries and recode the cache system to be more flexible.
2. Remove all un-necessary objects from ALL files. We will show you the site you will work on. We want every single function or reference that isn’t used to be deleted (ex. we don’t sell anything so removing anything to do with money is the first step including shipping, etc.).
3. Make a better search system. Possibly even create some sort of popular keyword cache system that already has the results for that keyword (as Google does).
4. Make a more user friendly admin console. Possibly coded in ajax.

Well if you read what we need you can determine that we completely transformed osCommerce into our own little software. It probably would be cheaper just to tell a programmer what we want and create an entire new interface from scratch but we have been using osCommerce for so long that we will use it for a few more years.

We are offering up to $1k USD for a very professional, very fast, well-coded site that performs as fast as the industry standard (that is around 0.009MS per page). Also time isn’t a factor so we will not pay someone more if they can do it a few days faster. Our objective isn’t how fast its finished, we want quality.
