Looking for a website that is similar to EBay where registered sellers can post items (products / services etc) and registered buyers can bid for the products / services. To register they would need an account and secure password & personal details. A section to enable rating and provide feedback on the buyers and sellers. A section to display the products with pertinent information, to close off products that have been sold; access to history of buyers and sellers. A section where sms can be sent to advise buyers and sellers of new products listed and sold etc. A secure payment gateway is essential as is some sort of accessibility via mobile phones.

Initially expect 100 buyers & sellers; however this should be easily scalable. Since we will be competing in a crowded marketplace the website has to be user friendly, quick and pleasing to the eye.

For example, when an industry increases its plant capacity, it requires bigger equipments/ machines. Then it replaces its old machines (of less capacity) with new machines. Often these new machines (of bigger capacity) are second-hand. This website will, therefore, invite seller and buyers of second-hand machines/ equipments. We need to put in complete technical details of second-hand machines of buyers and sellers.

Los Angeles based Talent Agency looking to create a customized social network to interact with our clients and buyers. Seeking programmer to customize a PHPfox, Dolphin, or better platform to do the following. In phase one of the development we are looking to achieve the following customizations.

1. Custom User Types:
We have a unique need for this social network that is unlike a traditional modification. We need to set up 5 different user types Clients, Non Exclusive Clients, Buyers, Contacts and agents. The challenge is that each of the first five user profiles can only interact and with the agents. This means that clients can be invited to join the network and only can see, message, chat and post information that can be accessed by the agents category.

2. Custom Profiles based on categories:
The second objective is to create custom profiles for each of these users types via categories. These profiles will have fields relating to the categories set to the user type. For example if the administrator invites a client to join the network he could invite the member pre selecting the user type let’s say for example the client user type. Then the administrator could select the profiles he wishes that user to fill out. Let’s say we invite a client user and we wish to have them fill out the commercial and theatrical profile. They would see this when they log on, but if not invited they would only have access to profiles we issue then. We have about 20 custom profiles, but we would like the ability to add more at a future date.

3. Invitation only network
We wish to be able to invite and approve all members of the network.

4. Custom Layout.
We would like to modify and have pre selected layouts for each profile.

5. Custom event feature:
We need to be able to use the event feature to send auditions and other calendar information to clients. We need to add file attachments to the events and have the ability for the user to confirm the event.

6. Custom News Feature.

receives ping responses, acceptance codes and bids from buyers

two of the lead buyer systems are DYNAMIC and two are STATIC TIER.

on the DYNAMIC systems, I send them a ping and they respond with a yes or no and a price they are willing to pay.

On the STATIC TIER system I send a ping to the first tier which has a set price and they respond yes or no, If no then I ping the second tier which has a set lower price and so on til I get a yes or run out of tiers. That’s called a WATERFALL or PING TREE. Apparantly, there’s also a way to SHOTGUN the pings to all available tiers and then choose from all the yesses but supposedly that takes more processing power and database space
