It a website for business directory and display products. It is design to allow people/clients to publish. it is in 6 categories and each category has many subcategories. Each client/publisher may upload 5 pictures of their products or service… with their names of the organisation, email address , telephone numbers, descriptions, profile or general information and (the price range of their services where applicable i.e user may deside not to put or display price

Home repair/maintenance service provider business directory.

1. Home page with search function for approximately 40 service categories. Plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc. Home page can contain some flash, but remaining pages none unless required. Category selector can be drop down menu, linked text, or web site search. Location search not required at this point.

2. Each category will produce 24 results/businesses. 3 rows/columns of 8.

Problem is: the search feature is not picking up dynamic pages. I need it to search all Business Directory Categories and businesses listed within the categories.

I know it’s an easy fix. Just can’t find the module for it.

*I want visitors to be able to search by name or by category. Default should be “by name” if using the search box located on every page.

Eg: if they search for a business name called “Pizza Hut” search results should show: http://www.miltonweb.ca/Details/Pizza-Hut.html

If they search for category “Pizza”, search results should be: http://www.miltonweb.ca/Pizza.html

On my current site: www.miltonweb.com I’m using the Google Custom Search. If this would make better sense I am open to integrating this into the www.miltonweb.ca website.

I’m looking for help developing a Business Directory plugin for WordPress. I would like to emulate the functionality of the directory at this site:

Business directory entries are all posted under a specific category in my instance of WordPress (e.g., “directory”).

At least 3 levels of directory categories (Category, sub-category, sub-sub-category)

Users can comment upon and rate entries in the business directory.

Since we’ll be using the plugin as a business directory — not to rate blogs as in the sample — the specific custom fields per entry (e.g., author, listed in, etc) will change a bit.

I’d like to install as an add-on at a site still under development at www.TRMom.com. The directory that is currently installed is an open-source plug-in, but doesn’t quite fit the bill.

Hey guys, we are looking for professional help with a couple projects. We have current technical support that has instructed us to outsource on this project, but we will have plenty more things to work on if the project is completed successfully. We will need to speak on the phone with the winning bidder, and will be in consistent contact until the project is complete.

I want you to build a simple, easy to use spider / scraper
to scrape the records from that directory.

I’d like to be able to just give it the starting URL, like

then it goes and gets all the contact details for each member listed.

It will need to click on the member Title link at the top of their listing to go to the member profile page, because the fax number is only on that profile page, not in the main results.

Save the results to a csv file (tab delimited) with these details:

At the bottom of the search results is the links that shows you are on page 1, and the scraper needs to automatically go to page 2, then page 3, etc.
