Flv Player – Add Buffer &rtmp

February 23rd, 2010 Comments off

We have an flv player that we use to play short (30 sec – 1 minute) clips. However, when we play the clips online, the videos do not run smoothly – they pause briefly, stutter, hiccup etc. This is variable and doesn’t always happen, but seems to happen pretty consistently on first play. Videos are hosted on amazon s3, and played using http.

We need these videos to play smoothly. Sample videos that are not playing smoothly can be viewed on http://www.yourbestsalesrep.com

My understanding is that the issue is the bandwidth – videos are being downloaded slower than they are playing.

To fix this we need one or both of the following solutions:

1. add a preload buffer to the player (but we don’t want to display anyhing, it must preload invisibly), the duration of which can set by external parameters. Or better still, the buffer sets itself according to the speed of download to ensure they whole video can be played smoothly.

2. enable the player to be able to stream from a true streaming server.

Please bid on one or both of these solutions, giving your reasons for your choice.

The player is written in AS3

Please PMB me to receive the source files so you can bid accurately.

Visual Basic Contact Window

September 30th, 2009 Comments off

This is a micro project. For someone that already has a visual basic
“name and address” form lying around.

Deliverables:
visual basic project compiles to a
nameaddress.lib file,
a matching “nameaddress.h” file
with the following “C” function:

int NameAddressWindow(char *buffer, int bufferlength);
Form result will be URL encoded in a single string,
copied to buffer, truncating at buffer length including setting
last character to string terminator.
Return the actual length of the encoded string, even if
its longer than the buffer.

Operation:
Function will open a NEW SEPARATE WINDOW containing only
1) name&address form with text entry for each field
2) a “submit” button – returns length of string (above)
3) a “cancel” button and/or standard “close” “X” upper right.
Both cancel and close return a -1.

URL encoded means as if this was an html form, as in
name (John Doe)
Street (410 ave A)
<other fields>
then the url encoded string will be:
Name=John+Doe&Street=401+ave+A

Flashplayer Streaming Aacplus

June 12th, 2009 Comments off

I need somebody proficient in Flash and especially integrating the facility to connect to a Shoutcast or Icecast based streaming server that makes use of either an MP3 Stream or an MP4 (AAC, AAC+1 or AAC+2) streaming type at any bitrate.

i want a simple layout like the winamp modern skin.

You will need to code the players backend to enable it to connect to the above mentioned servers.

The player should have a configuration file which it reads which server it connects to and where you can set things like default buffer size, auto connect or not, default volume, etc…

On the player front end it will be very simple, it should have some sort of visualisation or oscilliscope when the audio is playing, it should have a start, pause and stop button, a status panel and a buffer size slider bar which the listener can use to increase his or her buffer size.

I cannot stress enough that it is VERY VERY important that the player works with AAC streams… I can send you example of what I want.

Good Bidding…

this project contains few modules:
1. GUI
2. UDP server
3. voice engine.

u can bid on each module separately.

GUI

this part is about design and implementing GUI for voip application

responsibilities:
1. dial, notifications, call waiting
2. goto background/foreground
3. setting menus + setting db
4. phone book + phones db

the application is for S60 3rd FP1,FP2 and 5th edition

UDP server
———–
this module is for voip application

responsibilities:

1. connect and listen on 1 udp port – connect to deault IAP!
2. identify disconnect – notify and try to reconnect.
3. rooming – identifiy availability of wifi network.

project for S60 3rd edition FP1, FP2 and 5th edition.

Voice Engine
————-
This module is about designing and implementing an audio engine for voip application.

the app should run over nokia’s S60 3rd edition, FP1 and on wards. (VAS – Voip audio services should be used).

The engine should wrap all of the VAS activities.
the engine should use AMR codec, and handle bandwidth from 4.7-12.2 kbps.
there should be an option to use VAD to reduce delays.

the engine has an interfaces for send buffer and handle input buffer.
volume, mute, speacker etc..

Error concealment support (better voice quality!)
interface to play DTMF to downlink.
interface to dynamicly lower/increase bandwidth.

the protocol can be a propraitry one that is design for this application.

IMPORTANT: please apply for this project only if you have expirience both in symbian S60 and jitter buffer implementation.

OPTION: conference call engine.

use of speex is also a possibility.
