Finish Boat Broker Site

July 31st, 2009 Comments off

I have a website created at http://66.147.242.191/~gsiboatc/ that needs to be finished.

I would like to have SEO applied, and as I know this is a very general need – please let me know what could/should be done for what price.

I need to add another slide show like the big one on the homepage, to the right of it, with another listing type generated from the backend database

We need to make an area in the backend to make monthly PDF catalogs from the boat listings, these would be manually created, and then stored in an archive.

The thumbnails generated for each boat only shrink on import, the script needs to be set up to also increase the size for the main photo display on the spotlight vessels located in the homepage.

The filters on each ‘for sale’ and ‘wanted’ sections will need to be reworked graphically using CSS/HTML.

Need to create emailing system for subscriptions to updates on vessels

Need to create a better backend user admin account area

Need to create automatic emails based on actions in the site, such as sign up, request of vessels owner information, etc.

Reordering of login sequence. Using same pages, just in a different order

Backend has search ability for users in system, must be fixed to search more variables

Must include a backend admin users ‘online now’ box to show whos currently online

Must make HTML/CSS cross browser compatible. Currently it works perfect in firefox

Need to track history on vessels, meaning any action taken will be recorded, with time and user who commited

Need to be able to print PDFs of the data from boats

Vessels Popup – Photos tab does not work on some browsers/OS combinations – will need to be fixed

Vessels should have a category added called archived, this would remove it from the current display.

Permits also have archive, and will automatically archive at 90 days from creation. The user will be told 3 days in advance if their permit is about to archive via email, and given an opportunity to log in and renew, which would increase the life by another 90 days

Add editor for some of the dropdown lists contents throughout the site

This is the basic concept although there may be some more specific details we can discuss. I need this done within the next 2 weeks MAXIMUM, but ideally within this week. The original developer ran into some outside personal issues and had to bail, leaving me high and dry. I need to move on to get this project complete now, as my client is waiting for completion.

Please apply soon, as I plan to hire today.

Thanks,
Jay
