Hi,

I have a WordPress plugin called – Pierres Pierre’s Wordspew, that I wan’t to adjust a bit.

The plugin itself works perfectly, but I need to adjust the Border color. (See attached image)

The Border color can be changed from within the admin (tool > live shoutbox), but when I change the text color to example Black, then you automatically change the Border color to Black too.

So I need somebody to either show me where to change the Border color or change the plugin code itself, …

I have purchased a website template with style sheet. I know nothing about CSS. I want to use the same style sheet on several websites by just changing the entries.

I need the following done:

1. I want the CSS file to only contain the css classes required for test.html.

2. CSS can be optimized by removing extraneous css properties etc.

3. A space should be at the top of the page showing the background.

4. The space between the header images and the content (under the slidenav) currently shows the background. Instead this should be white.

5. I have received the following comments from friends. These should be taken into account and fixed:

It seems to me like the slicing for this design/template is unnecessarily over complicated. Naming selectors like “grid_3 pull_6″ is just hard on the head, and it’s creating a lot of code that’s hard to manage. This template could learn a lot from csszengarden.com – which teaches us to name divs such as “preamble, summary, main_menu, etc” instead of “big_red_block, left_column, and grid_3″.

The problem comes from the elements being used incorrectly, for example:

This #header code is using a corner radius for #header, which has no background color, and it’s not even using all of the needed code (border-top-left-radius: 8px; and border-top-right-radius: 8px; should be used as well)..

and using codes like: #nav.toprounded to add round corners is great,, but it should be used as a stand alone class (.toprounded) so it can be added to other elements, like your footer could simply add the ‘.bottomrounded’ class, instead of having that code duplicated for it.

In my joomla site i have embeded a other site with a iframe. This i frame have a border. Please remove this border for me.

I need some minor changes to a WordPress Templatic Event theme.

1. Go to http://calendar.exploredavidsonnc.com. Click Arts and you will see a list of 2 events along with a drop-down Sort function. I need a View All Events page just like this. I need one link to this page displayed under the Submit Events button in the sidebar and a link in the main navigation.

2. The Featured Image Slider images are linked to Events. I need the caption on those images to also be linked to that same event.

3. Event thumbnails have a border around them. When there is no image the border box is still visible. (Click Arts and you will see two events, one with image, one without) We want to keep the border around the thumbnails but remove the empty box from the events that do not have a thumbnail.

These are minor changes and shouldn’t take an experienced developer long to do, I would like to have these changes within a day or two. My budget is also low on this.

1) We need the sites code fixed so that it dynamically re-sizes.

2) We want a border around the page like the EXAMPLE HERE:

IMPORTANT!! I need to know the access levels you need for the site. Can you do this from the .css template via the Joomla! administrator back end or will you need access to the actual server side files?

I use HTML Purifier for user input sanitizing. I want to allow users to use code from playlist.com in their profiles on my website. In order to do that I have to make what they entered safe.

Previously I was able to use the Playlist.php file (attached) with HTML Purifier. Now it seems it doesn’t work because playlist.com changed their code and the filter doesn’t work the same any longer.

Now I am attaching the file that contains some regex conditions. Are you able to make the modifications necessary so that we can get this working again? As I said it once worked, but playlist.com changed the code that you copy/paste, so now it doesn’t work anymore. It just needs some modifications.

I have an HTML email template that needs to be 600px wide with a 1px grey border around the whole thing. The inside content of the template needs to have a white background. The outside area should have a grey background. There is an image at the top and the bottom of the template that has rounded white edges. I have all the HTML in place but not everything is lining up properly. I can only use tables and no CSS can be used.

I Need a MS Word template /pattern creation expert. Who has in depth working knowledge in MS Word.

I need this to be replicated on the word 2007/ xml format . I have attached one which i managed to develop myself.But the top and bottom borders are not exactly as in the Image.I need to get this fixed or create a new one.

I built a very custom Joomla website for one of my clients on a custom hacked Joomla system I created with other developers. But the border and navigation links on the site is just to plain and boring. I asked for that, but as a suprise to my client I want to jazz it up alot more.

- Width of the website (web pages) I don’t want changed at all!
- each image and text header on each pages won’t change at all!
- Background stays a white background like it is now outside the content of each page.
- Footer stays in the same place at bottom of the page off the main content of each page.
- Navigation links MUST stay text links for SEO reasons, but graphics/colors can be created on or around them to jazz them up some.

I just need some kind of cool graphic designed border/trim that flows with the rest of the colors, concept and copywriting of the website.

You can play with maybe changing the curve graphic that’s at the top of each page.

Looking at long term Joomla skin designer for all of my websites using this system I developed that will pay $100-$125 per skin per website. If you look at that site I do everything INCLUDING giving every image to the designer. Designer only takes my pics and creates header for each page, sets up links on website, navigation link and sets up one time footer and uses my already built html site map, article directory, glossary and faq that will be the same system on every website I build.

I asked the designer of the theme to add a widget to the left of the site for me, seems he was able to do it but messed up the look of the site. (Of course Im super pissed now)

he fixed one issue and added another. There is no space between the widgets anymore and no border around them.

I need the spacing between them. Not only the ones that are there but if I add anymore i want to see the space between them.

Its not on the last 2 widgets. I don’t know what he did to mess up my site but I need it fixed as I’m not letting him touch it again. I hate having to fix amateur programmers mishaps by spending money. It seems to be a pastime.

I would like to test some changes to my pages to see if I can get higher conversions. I will do the testing using Google Website Optimizer.

These are the changes I need made:

Sales Page Changes:

- Make all body text Arial 12 point font
- Put a red border around the product guarantee
- Place a dashed 4-pixel red border around the offer form
- Insert a text box with a light blue background entitled “5 Good Reasons to Buy” (I will provide you with the copy)
- Make the sales letter text area 600 pixels wide
- Change the scroll bar color to red
- Make the headline 20 pt Tahoma, and add quotation marks around the headline
- Add a pre-headline before the headline (I will provide you with the copy)
- Put all testimonials in a yellow (hex=FF,FF,E8) Johnson box
- Place a red headline on every testimonial (I will provide you with the copy)
- Change the word “Testimonial” to “Customer Feedback”
- Place a testimonial below the “P.S.” message
- Place credit card emblems in the order form box (make them hyperlink to the order form)
- Make the “buy” button look like Amazon’s (orange background; blue border; little shopping cart icon; use the text “Add to Shopping Cart”)

I am in need of a couple of alterations to a WPMU Theme – DIXI.

The theme has a white background area and no border – I need a border put in and the ability for individual members to change the color or pattern on the background on their blogs.

Take a look at the attached pics to see exactly what I mean.

On the shadow border – it should be black on the inside (closest to the centre) and transparent on the outside (closest to the background) so the background image/color can show through in the shadow.

I need the coding for this – it needs to be ready to install & use in WPMU.

The background needs to be editable through the wp-admin area for each individual blog.

It needs to be incredibly simple to change – my customers don’t know html or php – so it needs to be wysiwyg.

You will need to test the coding in a WPMU installation to ensure it works properly and is editable easily.

I use FrontPage 2003. I am duplicating a website (www.authentic-alternatives.com) in order to use the same format, but add a different banner and text. I have put a new banner in. But I can’t get the bottom border to transfer over. It looks like this on the new site: www.susangabrielconsulting.com – you’ll see the words “shared bottom border” at the bottom, instead of the actual border.

I know about format => shared borders, but I want to use the bottom border on the original site, and I can’t seem to paste it over to the new site. I need someone to go into my sites via FTP and fix this. Should be simple if you know this stuff!

Note: I had someone from scriptlance fix this. All seemed fine. Now 2 days later, SOMETHING happened where it reverted to the old incorrect version and the bottom border is not showing. I was not aware of doing anything. I didn’t touch the bottom border.

I need XHTML/CSS code for ad units that will look similar to (but not exactly the same as) the Adsense text ad units. (https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html) I will need all the 12 sizes offered by Adsense, as well as a 120×300 ad unit.

There will be two versions of each size ad unit: one will be purely text; one will allow for a small image to accompany each ad.

It is important that the size of the units be maintained; if too much text or tool large an image is included it must not break the unit.

The entire cell with an ad will be clickable, not just the ad link.

Using CSS it should be easy to change the border color, background color, text color, link color, border style and font family.

As long as the unit size could be maintained, it might also be nice if the border width and font size could be easily changed, a drop shadow added/removed to the unit, and a line separating each ad in the unit could be easily added/removed.

The bottom of each unit will contain a thicker border with my URL. (Similar to what you see at the bottom of the Adsense image ads: https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en_US/AdFormats.html )

I need a css template to display pictures on a simple page. I’m looking for a modified liquid two column layout that you can find here: http://css.maxdesign.com.au/floatutorial/tutorial0816.htm -

Requirements:
- A border should be visible around the “leftnav” and “content” sections (imagine there’s no header/footer and you have a border around what’s left. Essentially, if there’s no header/footer data, it will not be shown. Another way to put it, I always want a border around the picture/content grouping)
- In the leftnav section, thumbnails 96×72 will be shown, 2 columns and many rows. For example, if i have 9 thumbnails, that will be 4 rows of 2 thumbnails and the last row will have one.
- equal spacing between the pictures/borders (like 5px or so) – must look nice.
- background of leftnav should be black, picture border should have a 2 px white border.
- pictures should preferably be styled as an un-ordered list.
- must work in FF, safari and IE.
- the “content” section will have descriptions about the pictures so you don’t have to worry about that.

If you have any questions, just ask. I think if you know css, this should be quite easy.

My website is tricky.

Bought a template and in my photo gallery. Some presets of the template i need changed.
In my template, my photos resize/zoom to fit the page. resulting in the loss of quality.

So, what I did in photoshop; I made photos with a large 3 inch black space/border (the same black color blends in my template background) Making the actual .jpeg file larger considering the black border. Large enough that my template preset does not indeed auto-enlarge the photo, b/c it is large enough. Now If I upload just my photo (WITHOUT huge black border) into template, my template would “fit to screen” the photo. And I don’t want that to happen. rather let the jpegs be the size they naturally are.

MY method with the big black border does work, but unfortunately now there is 2 problems why I just need a programmer to take off this auto-enlarge preset:

The photo/blackborder.jpeg files are so large, they take longer to load.
looks like the web automatically makes the quality of the image softer b.c the file is too big for the web.

I need assistance in not having my photos auto-enlarged on my site, so I can take of my photoshop jpegs with big black border, and use my photos with no border.
I believe this will help the quality of my images.

Our site is built in Drupal using Ubercart.

Our regular contractor is busy with some big PR opportunity, but these are his notes, so it’ll give you a first look at what needs to be completed and where he left off. By the way…previous guy wasn’t a Drupal guy, but was doing me a favor getting the work done. Anyway…I just wanted to note that since his notes makes it sound like a mess, I think it reflects some work, but more inexperience, no bash intended. He’s still awesome;)

From what I’ve seen, the default blog module allows for all users to create blog content, which of course is undesirable (all users, meaning your customers too.) There very well might be a way to make it so only admin users can use this… but I couldn’t see it.
so I found this:

which is basically instruction on how to do a drupal blog, BUT with limited “bloggers”. The downside is that to accomplish this it limits the people who can actually register… effectively eliminating the ability for customers to register at all. I’m having a very hard time getting this installed and working. So this is NOT a good solution.

I believe the trick is going to be using the default blog module, but figure out a way to limit the users who can post.

Ads:
The banner ad rotating deal seems like it will go REALLY well and is precisely what we’re looking for. I got it installed just fine, started setting things up, etc.. but then got to a point where I’m instructed to look under the help menu to find instructions on how to embed the ads on specific pages
(Administer -> “By module” tab -> then click on any “Get help” link)
All of those help links are broken. I searched all over for help with this, but can’t find any. I’m SOOO close on this, but for whatever reason I can’t access that documentation, and can’t find the content online.

If we can figure out why these links aren’t working, you’d be able to finish this one off.

Everything was done with the following exceptions:

- Meta Descriptions for store/product pages (Again, I simply cannot find a fix for this. I don’t know if it’s the way the store was built, or what, but for whatever reason the descriptions are not being rendered into the HTML.) I posted to the support forums, but I am not getting any response.

Which suggested I deselect the option to generate a description meta tag from the node teaser.
I found that option here:
Administer -> Content Management -> Meta tags
but I deselected it and it doesn’t appear to have fixed the issue.

- “Visible call to action on every relevant page”. That was our banners. I can simply go through and put them in manually, but that banner ad module would make it much easier and give us the ability to track, give us statistics, etc. But if it comes down to it, you can simply place them in manually as you see fit. I have uploaded those to the system already. You can use the following code snippets to paste into the description field for the pages you’d like those banners to appear on:

my file has been modified with th fec install and i think i am placing this in the wrong place. i have placed it in includes/fec/shipping_box.php

i installed a coupon code contribution to a oscomm store, works 100%. clients enter code for discount and then discount aplied upon checkout. per contribution instructions i must place the coupon form in checkout_payment.php . i moved the form to checkout_shipping.php as a while back i combined checkout_payment and checkout_shipping into one step and now only checkout_shipping.php is used in the order process. the form will not work in checkout_shipping.php, it does nothing, as there is a call to a function that is present in checkout_payment but not in checkout_shipping. this is the code for the html form that i moved to checkout_ shipping.php

I have tabs on my site and they appear properly with firefox and google chrome, however in Internet Explorer there is a bug. Internet Explorer puts a bottom margin in so that the tabs no longer rest on the DIV below it. The selected tab has a margin of -1 so that it overlaps the div below it. Please see attached screen captures with the problem appearing.
