We have created an online bookstore on php-mysql and we need to feed the database with books. At this moment it is very difficult to enter one by one more than 4000 books. We searched a bit and we found the following solution:

There is an online book database which gave us permission to access their database. The database is in MS SQL and they have prepared 5-6 db views to get data from. The specific database has plenty of information in terms of book characteristics and information. However, we don’t want all data, but specific data i.e. authors, publishing houses, short description, long description and some more.

Our request is the following:

Based on specific publishing authors, to get specific data from this database and insert it in our database. Also, this script-software should be scheduled to run one time in a week to update current products.
