Hi.

I have a forum using IP.Board version 3.1.4 that is currently in a subfolder of my main website.

I have moved this to a new domain of its own, but it seems that there is a slight fault. everything seems fine, but the css in the admin portal is not rendering.

This may be because it was moved to a different server, although the server itself has all the same modules enabled. I can’t think why the darn CSS is not rendering.

So I need someone to have a look at it, and I also need so…

Job Board Network Enhancement + Ongoing Php/mysql Work

November 11th, 2011 Comments off

Locate Jobs Network is a nationwide network of niche job boards featuring over 3,800 websites – we offer job search for employment candidates and paid job posting for employers and recruiters.

Job description:

We are looking for a PHP/MySQL Developer who will be responsible for the further development, deployment and ongoing support of our custom, web-based job board platform.

IMPORTANT: This will involve analyzing, assessing and understanding an existing platform that has been built on PHP/MySQL on a FreeBSD/Apache box. The existing application does not utilize a standard framework but instead is built on custom functions/libraries.

After this assessment and a thorough understanding of the existing platform, we require a developer who will implement an initial round of updates/improvements and additional functionality. Thereafter, we want to work with the developer on a continuous basis to maintain the platform as needed and to develop further improvements to the system.

An example of upcoming improvements/items to develop:

- Database updates via external XML feeds, including “insert” and “update” in the company’s jobs database.
- Scraping job listing content from customer sites.
- Outputting RSS feeds of job listings
- Updating payment platform from PayPal basic payments to a more robust, onsite payment platform (osCommerce or similar)
- Installing security certificate on server, working to produce SSL for new payment module
- Implementation of job seeker accounts, whereby they will be able to sign up for an account, submit a resume, save jobs, save job searches, opt-in to an e-mail list and apply for jobs.
- Producing “widgets” for users to interact with the sites in the network – browser widgets, WordPress plugins, Droid/IOS apps, etc.

Your responsibilities:

- Perform a technical analysis of requirements
- Produce “Sandbox” to replicate existing platform, test prior to production
- Produce a solid, detailed technical design
- Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements
- Work with company principals to triage and fix bugs with rapid turnaround
- Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use

Your qualifications:

- Programming language(s): PHP
- Database: MySQL
- Intimately familiar with FreeBSD/Linux and Apache
- Additional skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- 3-5 years of programming experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Formula 1/ Motor Sport Forum

October 31st, 2011 Comments off

This a a very easy project for someone that has experience in building forums.

Since ITV have closed their F1 forum (http://forums.itv.com/101/ShowForum.aspx), it has left a gap and many of the regular posters have not had any other alternatives.

Phase 1:
I would like someone to help me start a Formula 1/ Motor Sport forum.
The forum will use the IP.Board 3 forum software.
Target users are in the UK (hence why the domain name ends in the .uk extension).
I already have the software and domain.

The selected programmer needs to do an intensive research to to come up with categories (you can’t just go to other similar forums and copy all the categories because it has to be different from the rest to some extent). Obviously you are then required to write a description etc. etc. You will basically build the forum from scratch using the IP.Board 3 software and post any rules etc. within each thread/category. Also you need to create the keywords and meta descriptions that are relevant.

As this is a project from scratch I need a logo designed as well, however if you are not a designer we can work something out to outsource the logo design to someone else.

To get each category started you will have to post new topics within each category, maybe 2-4 new thread starters from unique users.

Phase 2:
Providing we are satisfied with phase 1, in this phase we will work together to moderate the forum and keep it buzzing with new users, posts and visitors! We have not yet decided how to make this work, however it maybe just by paying you as a forum poster.

Only qualified and experienced people are invited to submit their bid.

Thank you for your time!

Small Php Message Board

October 13th, 2011 Comments off

I need a very basic 3 page bulletin board coded, I have already created the html template for the 3 pages you will need to code. The images of the pages are attached to better display how simple the board will actually be. You will need to code in the features required to make the board work and the security features detailed below. I want the coding done with ONLY php, no javascript whatsoever! Also the board MUST store/retrieve the data from a .txt file, not a mysql database! Please also make sure to write neat and secure code. I will submit the actual .html files to the winning bidder. Payment will be quickly released after seeing a working example, thanks!

- use php trim and strip_tags on Name, Message, and Captcha fields on forum and stop submission if the fields are blank and to remove any html they try posting

- use php strlen to make sure Name is not more than 15 chars

- use php strlen to make sure Message is not more than 150 chars

- use php strlen to make sure Captcha is not more than 6 chars

- i will provide a very simple php captcha using gd functions that i want used

- password protect the admin login page

- simply display the raw .txt file in the admin panel so i can remove posts from the file and save it to control the board

- make sure the user cannot flood the board, i would think using the captcha and sessions this would stop this?

- and lastly make sure a single long word like “aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa” does not throw off the design

That is all of the requirements I need, and the screenshots are attached. Thanks again!

Custom Forum

September 16th, 2011 Comments off

Looking for someone who can build a custom discussion forum for our website. The goal of the forum is to provide a location where individuals with questions, ideas, or answers to natural product/materials can connect. We suspect a wordpress style discussion board will work for this (or other out of the box solution) but we want it integrated into the site in a way that makes it easy for a board user to enter the marketplace section of the site and want the board’s appearance to remain the same as the rest of the site. Specific functions of the board to include: register as member, be able to post as member, be able to respond to posts, ability for members to tag posts or threads using key words, text searchability of all posts, ability for us to delete posts if needed.

Tournament Php Code

September 9th, 2011 Comments off

Need someone to finish. I have a database set up with users, and a kind of way to add them to the tournament called entries, then I have a background image of a tournament board, with names over laid (just static html) everything lines up, and did a context menu (right click) What I need, is to pull the names from the database, in the context menu, have Player Name Won, Player Name Lost, if win move right, if lost move left. See screenshot link.

I will post a txt file of the example structure, and here is a screenshot of the board (http://screensnapr.com/v/WpQ3wB.png). It should be fairly simple, but i just can’t understand it. This is an example of an 8 player board, I will need this replicated for a 16 player, 32 player, and 64 player but the logic should be the same, but we can start with the 8 for now.

You need to be able to start today, or now.

Flash Reaction Timer Game

September 8th, 2011 Comments off

Looking for a flash reaction timer.

When a start button is pressed the game begins.

It shows the phrase “FIRST TRY. PLEASE WAIT”

At a random time, the word phrase changes to “press X” (where “x” is a random letter of the alphabet). A clock starts showing the time in milliseconds.

When the player presses the correct letter on their keyboard the timer stops.

Next the phrase “SECOND TRY. PLEASE WAIT” is displayed and the game continues (using random letters each time).

After FIVE attempts, the average time in ms is shown.

—–

LEADER BOARD.
If the time is one of the fastest five, the player gets a “Congratulations” message and is asked for their name and put on the leader board. (Data can be stored in a text file or mySQL database but these will be on a different domain). The leader board should be visible at the start of the game.

As admin, I need to be able to reset the leader board.

Need Css/html Tournament Board

August 3rd, 2011 Comments off

I need something created, just for display. I will finish all the features etc.

What I need is a config.php with:

$players = x;
$format = (double,single);

if players under 16 and double show this style board. etc

So basically you can see what they look like: http://playpool.com/downloads/

download either one.

The board should be able to support:

16 players single/double elimination
32 players single/double elimination
64 players single/double elimination
128 players single/double elimination

And it would need to be designed in CSS/HTML/AJAX whatever. And put some demo names on the lines so I can see it. Could pretty it up too to make it nice, I will make a header and footer, just need the basic layout done.

Shouldn’t be TOO hard, and if the boards have to be static, I can do the PHP part to select the correct boards for display.

Please do not bid if you do not think you can do it in the 10 day timeframe.

- The boards are side by side
- Left board is Player1, right board is Player2

- There are 10 pieces that you can play (images of these are attached)
- All 10 pieces can be rotated

- Selection is random, i.e. each player is assigned a random piece and that piece is removed from the list of pieces
- If a player cannot or doesn’t want to play his piece it is put in the pool
- The pool can be seen and used by both players to select a known piece (i.e. they are not random)
- GUI to be developed using Swing

Ip.board 3.1 Flexible Shop System

July 25th, 2011 Comments off

Hello,

I am in need for a flexible shop system for IP.Board 3.1.x. The shop system must be programmed as a module for IP.Board, and completely intergrated within the system.

The shop will be displayed in a seperate section / page within IP.Board. And we can set usergroup permissions as in who can see it, and who can buy products.

Now the main purpose of the shop is sell data. Thus we would like to list all products(data) via a Grid. The Grid must have fields that can be set from within the Admin CP.

We have multiple kind of products so we would like to be able to create multiple grids, for each type of product we wish to sell. And display these grids as categories within the shop pages.

All grids must have the required field Price. You cannot create a Grid without this field. This field is also sortable. We also would like to have a other field that is optional. But once activated can be used to be searched upon on each first six digits per products who has this field. Now this is the only functionality that the search system requires. If this field is not enabled, the search functionality doesn’t have to be activated on that grid.

Users must be able to select multiple products, within the grids. And must be able to bulk order them. Once ordered they are added to his/her my order page. Where all products are listed, and can be exported in a clear .txt format. When the product is ordered by the user it will be put on non-active within the database. And will not be for sale anymore to other members.

The products that are purschased cannot be re-added again within the system. Unless, they are removed within the Admin CP by a Administrator.

Users can purschase products by loading up their balance via Liberty Reserve.

For api and examples:
- http://www.libertyreserve.com/en/help/sciapiguides

Once they have charge up their balance, they can spend it in the shop to purschase products. They also have a charge history, from where they can see the previous times they charged up their balance.

We would like to have all user actions regarding shop intergrated within a Shop CP. Which will be displayed in the User Navigation from IP.Board.

The Shop CP is supposed to look like the standard User CP. But this time only with Shop related functionality and actions.

We also would like to have merchants within the Shop System. Merchants can add products, and remove their own products. This can be done within the normal shop pages, but they will receive a tab were all their submitted products are listed. They also receive a staticspage within the Shop CP from where they can view how much each user has purschased from them. And how much they have sold per day, per week and per month.

Now in the Admin CP we would like to be able to set which usergroup has Merchant functionality, and how much tax they pay per grid. The amount they recieve minus the tax will be displayed on each merchants statistics page within their Shop CP.

The Admin CP must contain global statistics per day, per week and per month. And be able to lookup the statistics of each Merchant. The Administrator must be able to set to which Liberty Reserve account all charges are send too. Also must contain usergroup permissions from where the Admin can set which usergroups can acces the shop and which section. And a section from where usergroups or users can be added as Merchants, with Tax settings.

We also need a section where Grids can be created and modified. Each field data can be set, except for price which is always a required field. A optional field where we can search for the first 6 digits contained in this field can be enabled as well.

The last functionality we need is a flexible parsing system. When a merchant wants to add multiple products at once he can do so by using our flexible parsing system. When the data is loaded up within the format set in the parsing system, it will be mass added to the shop. The parsing system settings will be set per grid section.

Our budget is $1000, if you do a great job we will have more projects with a larger budget for you in the near future. Payment can be transfered via Wire Transfer, PayPal, Liberty Reserve, Western Union or Moneygram.

Thanks,

D. Zinity
