Translate Subtitles For Video To Good German

July 8th, 2011 Comments off

This project is to translate existing subtitles into good German.

The file for the subtitles is in SBV format (open in notepad), and is attached to this posting. Your work will be checked, so no machine or software translation is acceptable. You will be expected to think about the meaning of the words, and not just make robot-like renderings. You can leave the English in place, and add the German below the english, if you want to speed up the process of having your work checked, and get paid sooner.

The file contains time stamps, and these must NOT be changed at all. If there are any problems with the time stamps, then the file won’t work, and the project will not have been completed, and you’ll have to fix them. A little care in your work will prevent this.

I have posted projects in the past that got bids in the thousands of dollars, but were completed for just a few bucks. Exorbitant bids may be removed. Please be competetitive in your bidding. Please say what your native language is in your comments when you bid, and what country you are in now (so I can see the time difference). Bids that have this information will be considered before bids that don’t have this information.

No escrow for those with less than five feedbacks. Check my feedback (over 30 ten-star ratings) if this is a concern for you.

Php and mysql ONLY, template based ONLY on my template which can be enhanced, but must be close to mine.

i am on a budget. If I select you, and bid is higher than I can do in one month, must break it up in phases per month. will put half in escrow and balance when done within the month of each. Each time doing same.

do NOT send me email or bids unless you know how to build php from zero…. nor if it has nothing to do with what i need. Nor bid if you want me to do on another plateform… It is clear that I want php/mysql on template base site. PERIOD. several bids were made previously who could not do php from scratch and wanted me to change plateform, wating my time with bids.

I need to see experience sites you have done from others.

The site entitles below:

** create detail database, admin permission of site

** must be done more db driven vs long script pages so i can manage page better later by script areas on page.

** script notes on pages

** has 3 posting type sites/areas in one site which allows different permissions for members and non members.

** membership area offers a facebook Like wall feeds, info profile, groups, friends, messagers/email, likes, pokes,a daily journal vs notes, FB instant instant message chat, invites, comments, edits for post and other areas of site in “my accout area” and settings

** 3 membership and non member user permissions, and navagation notices

** webpage talkpage (chat area for signed in members with rooms per admin

** detailed advertising in membership post area forms and display set ads in locs, cats

** detail affiliate area 3 levels on all but top banner ads of site.

** talk page chats

** emp and monitor assignment in admin

** ajax location

unlimited categories and specs in more detail if your considered.

no hugh bids can be accepted, i am not a company. I can pay what is agreed and will tell you if not in budget. I will have a bigger buget once basic site is up and running. I have more areas to add to site. The first part is harder. I at least need the basics up on phase one. we can divide this project up into more than one if needed.

Auction Tool For Penny Acution User

April 21st, 2011 Comments off

You to vwilldo4/19/2011 at 23:30 EST
thanks for your reply,

I posted earlier but may not have been clear in the first posting that I put up. I am NOT interested in starting a Penny Auction site. The only thing that I want is to have a tool, as a user of a penny auction site, In particular Quibids.com . What I want is to be able to have a program that will monitor a particular auction that I am interested in (if it can monitor all current auctions that would be even better.) Key things that i want this program to do is…
1) Track all bidders by displayed user name that place a bid on the Auction of interest.
2) Track the number of bids that each person who bids in the auction places.
3) Tally the total bid cost that each bidder has placed.. ie. if “bidder X” has placed 5 bids and each bid cost $0.60 each. the script should say. Bidder X has placed 5 bids current bid cost $3.00
4) tally bid cost and track it until it reaches the value of the item. So that once they reach the max number of bids. I will see that and know that based on Sight restrictions, they can no longer bid (thus making them a non contender for the item they were biding on and signaling me that it would be a good time to start biding)

To be clear, this request if for a program to be used as a consumer. I have no interest in getting programs to start a penny auction site.

If this is within your skill set please let me know. also keep in mind that i am a single person, I am not a business trying to start a web site, with that said. i have a single person budget …
thanks for your time.

Penny Auction Site

April 20th, 2011 Comments off

Dear Programmers,

We have a penny auction site which opened 1 year ago. We closed it in order to have the overall appearance changed and add more functions to it. The code of the site is in asp.net, C#, Ajax. The script of the site has been created from scratch. All work will be done on the existing script so ready made scripts might not be of any use. The existing site is in both English and Greek. The new addons must be in both languages as well. We have a multilingual section in the back end which allows us to do the translation there and have it appear on the front end.

Bidders are kindly requested to contact us before they place their bids, so we can tell them the website URL and sent them the necessary files.

We want to add the improvements as shown below.

1. We want to add an auction type that will only be available to users who have not won an auction yet. (Check beezid.com “cherry auctions” to get an idea of what we mean) There will be one auction category (the name should be given by the osaosa team). That auction will be available to bidders until they win their first auction. When they win an auction, that particular auction category will not be available to them again.

2. On the home page we want for the top banner to take the whole width of the website. In doing so the login/register box and the how it works box on either side of the banner will be removed and also the numbers on the bottom where it takes you to the different topics replace it with arrows as it is on the www.beezid.com. On the top banner we want for live auctions to appear like it is on www.beezid.com and www.quibids.com (what will be shown:Time remaining, retail price, current price, product image, name and details). The how it works will go underneath the top banner in three steps, please visit www.quibids.com to get an idea of what I mean. The design of the page is done.

3. Help menu like swoopo.com or beezid.com (The FAQ needs to be renamed as Help. So faq will be a part of Help). We want to be able to add topics through the back end and have them appear on the front end.

4. Add video through the back end for each product, which will appear in the front end as shown in the new design.

5. At the end of each auction we want the users that placed 10 bids and over on the item to go into a draw where the winner will get a prize which will be set from the back office. We want to be able to choose the users who will be able to take place in the draw by entering the amount of bids they will have to spend. This and the prize will be set from the back office and will be different every time. The draw will be visible on the front end on the product details page whenever there is a draw. It will appear in the place of the video box (you will see it on the new layout we will send you), which will be replaced by the draw box as soon as the auction has ended. About the appearance of it: what we want is for all users to be able to view the live draw and how a winner is chosen (the draw process). The process make as you think best. It can for example look like a slot machine or a wheel of fortune or whatever you think best. What we want is for the users to see that a draw is made and that they all have a chance. Keep in mind that this will not be a set thing for all auctions it will be selected from the back office whether or not an auction will have a draw or not.

6. New Design implementation. The new design has already been done (HTML files-50% already implemented) and will only need implementation and where some small parts are missing for you to add them according to the new design.

7. Online support mechanism.

8. add zoom effect on the images of the product details page with out affecting bidding process (by covering or hiding it)

9. In bidding history to say whether or not a bid made, is through the autobid or a single bid.

10. This point is very important . The site slows down and gets stuck when many users are logged in and when an auction carries on for a long period of time. Script optimization to improve overall operation of the site so the site should be able to handle thousands of people per day and more. In order to do so the script must be checked for errors and if any to be corrected. FYI we have a dedicated server with 4gb Ram.

11. Full support through live chat or email of 30 days is needed , in case any errors appear after the site has gone live. We would like to be able to communicate throughout the whole development process to make sure everything is going well and to be sure it is coming along the way we want it to. We will have a person available online for this.

The above improvements will be implemented on the already existing website and the person chosen for the job will have to complete all necessary tests and implementations (will have to resolve all problems that might appear concerning the whole site, server, database). The full payment will be done as soon as the whole site is up and running error free. (Full Payment will be made once the application is installed and working on the server).

This could lead to a long term business. We are looking to continue partnership in the future, as the site will be in need of constant upgrading. We need people who are trustworthy and can be on time and on schedule that can deliver. The result of this job will determine future cooperation.

We want programmers to break down the amount of time and cost they want for each point. Also please send us previous work you have done on penny auction sites.

Please keep your Bids low and this needs to be done within the shortest possible time.

Please send us offers which are within the budget stated.

No funny bids and time wasters please. No generic bids! Mention “loula” in your bids.

Thank you

Proofreaders Required

April 20th, 2011 Comments off

We require proofreaders to check articles for errors and make the appropriate corrections. The articles need to be checked for spelling (US English), grammar, punctuation, plagiarism (CopyScape) and in some cases keyword density. This is not a rewriting job although minor rewording of the occasional sentence may be required for some articles.

The articles are on average 550 words. We are operating on a tight profit margin, so bid accordingly. Do not waste your time making high bids as they will be ignored.

This project is for proofreading 100 articles.

We handle a lot of articles which have a high standard of content and good writing style but contain various errors which need fixing to make them 100% perfect. We are looking for proofreaders who can handle this work quickly, professionally and without changing the voice of the article. Regular work will be available for proofreaders who perform well bringing the project in on time and within budget.

We own all copyrights to the articles at all times. Articles we provide for proofreading must not be used in anyway or form.

Please place your bids based on proofreading 100 articles. Do not waste your time making high bids as they will be ignored.

Thanks

Penny Auction Request

I Need a Penny Auction Site like Big Cactus but just better .

I’m looking for someone that can make a penny auction type site similar to big cactus.com.. Basically you’ll be doing everything from scratch to finish.

Here’s some stuff I want, all of which I should be able to edit easily from the backend:

*User registration and account verification

*Buying bid packages

*Full integration with PayPal, and Authorize .net Any others would be an additional benefit.

*Cost per bid and the price increasing by an amount set for each auction indivisually.

*The time being reset to X seconds everytime a bid is placed within the last X seconds of the count down. (meaning a bid placed when the count down is at 10mins30sec will not increase the time but a bid
placed when the count down is 15sec will reset the counter to 30sec for example.

*General pages such as terms and conditions and a help section

*Ability for members to login, update their account(automated verification when this is done), purchase more bids and pay for auctions won

*Ability to give users free bids

*Ability for users to receive free bids when registering, winning their first, fifth, Xth auction and for buying bid packages for the first time or the Xth time.

*Add, edit and delete articles from the latest news page

*Content Management System (CMS) – ability to add, edit and delete multiple auctions

*Ability to Refund bids.

*View the winning bidder and update the status of the auction e.g. pending, running, ended and completed.

*View, edit, add, delete and suspend users.

*View users bidding history, purchased bid packages, add free bids to the user and refund bids for the user. Bidding history shown in the site by normal users on the other hand would be limited to maybe 15 lines.

*View referrals from users. Users being awarded free bids for unique referred users.

You must be able to fix bugs that are found for up to 1 year after the site goes live. The amount of time it takes to support bugs is up to you. Do it right the first time and this will be a non-issue.
You will have to install this on my server, or I’ll just give server access for you to build it and test it on.

In addition to the script, you will have to design the layout and graphics for the site. If you’re unable to do this, If you will not be able to do the design work, your bid should reflect this.

Autobidder module that can be turned on and off from the admin panel. I should be able to designate, on each auction, the number of auto bids to ensure a percentage profit for each auction.

That’s it for now until i think of something else.

Magento Expert For Ecom Sites

Currently have a Magento ecomm site. Original developer has proved too difficult to communicate with, so open, honest communication, and accountability is paramount. If you have less than 10 reviews, please do not bid, all bids without 10 SL reviews will be BLOCKED for future work & bids.

Current site needs minimal clean-up, layout work. Will consider programmers with Magento ecomm experience even if we need to hire out separately design work. Our main goal is to find an EXPERIENCED Magento programmer who is able to open multiple sites for us over the next two years, approx. 1 new site per month.
