What we need is the following:
We are in need to use a barcode scanner for our OSCommerce webshop.
The codes we want to use are type EAN13 codes.
The modification has to do the following:
-> Adding barcodes
Using the catalog to add barcodes:
- Add a field in the product page to add the barcode for the item either manually (type into field) or using a barcode scanner.
- Create an extra field into the Easy Populate module so the EAN-code can be added with the uploading of new items.
Use an order to add barcodes:
- Add a barcode in the order page just by clicking an item in the order, scan the item and add it .
- Add a barcode manually in the order by filling in a field.
-> Scanning incoming items
When a barcode of an item is scanned it must show the ordernumber on screen and check the item in the order as present (oldest order first!). When an item has no barcode checking must be done manually. Number of items in stock must be be visable in the order (behind the item)
In case of more then one (similar) items add as many as required (either by typing the number or scan it as many times) before check the item as present(show remaining items needed).

If an order is complete (stock meets required number of items) then change status of this order into “order complete”.
When the box with the order is ready then the shipping label must be scanned and then the stock of the items shipped has to be lowered with the amount of items in this order. (Make button “shipped”) and set order status “shipped”. In this orderstatus the scanned shippinglabel number has to be in the comment in the orderstatus which is then emailed to the customer (with link to tracking url).
So basicly when we receive items from our manufacurer we scan all these items and each item is added into stock and added to the orders which the items are required.
When items are already in stock then mark order “order complete”.
Step-by-step:
customer purchase item X.
When we receive item X from our manufacturer we scan item X.
Item X is then added to stock and marked on the order of the costumer.
When order is complete change orderstatus into “order complete”
When item X is boxed for shipping the shipping label is scanned and new order status “shipped” is emailed to customer along with shippinglabel number.
Stock of item X is lowered with 1.

Hello, I’m looking to get an app done for iphone that reads barcodes and searches a database on mysite. and displays the corresponding info. Once info is displayed user can save contact details in device or map to location. Pretty much it reads the barcode (code 128) and it searches my database for a match. It then displays info from my site and allows for auto save or save confirmation of details to iphone. barcode scanner should also be able to read barcode from a picture if need be so it could also work with the itouch

I would like to enable anyone with a standard fax machine (paper) to have their important documents faxed, then archived into a secure database. This is a program and service for people that don’t know how to scan or don’t have a computer.
I need assistance with ALL of the steps below:
Flow is like this:
1) Client calls toll-free number (I can take care of getting the number), or signs up online (I need a website for this), to receive a free fax cover page with unique barcode (the barcode is their account information. I don’t have a barcode generation sotware).
2) The uniquely barcoded cover page has categories, as follows:
(Addresses, Banking, Credit Accounts, Educational Records, Employment Records, Health Records, Housing Records, Insurance, Inventories, Transportation, Personal, Taxes). They will also have sub-categories, of which I will provide later.
3) The client receives a toll-free fax number where they send the cover page and accompanying document(s).
4) Once received by the server at a data center (I need the server software written), the fax is automatically routed into a database and “filed” under the customer’s account, then the sub-category they chose on the fax cover page.
5) The client can review their stored faxes via the web or by calling a toll-free 800 number.
I have a US Patent Pending on the previously mentioned flow but I’m looking for a reliable and affordable programmer to help me get it done.

I need an iPhone app Building with mainly specific forms for the user to login and then input client details and address etc…
This must also grab data from a mysql db over the internet.
Other functions needed is to be able to use the camera to scan barcodes and input the barcode code into the form for submitting and take photos to be added to the db/web server.
The user must be able to click a button to view a route from their current location to the postcode provided by the database via the iphones inbuilt google maps (possibly to be later used with a gps app such as tomtom).
There will also be a requirement for another similar app for an admin to be able to add and remove users for the system, and add jobs to the system for the users to retrieve and view and for the admins to view the result of jobs that have been finished by the user.
I can provide mySQL database and webspace for testing, info and screenshots of what exactly is required, a full route for each button and form.
This will be an improved version of a system that is already in place and as i am a developer myself i can provide clear instructions.
I will require full rights to the app so that i am the owner and i will require the source for the app so that i can make edits to the app myself and distrobute it as i wish.
There will most likely be future work needed with this app as we find improvements and ammendments.

Each item has 11 or 12 digit barcode numbers.
We need a programmer to help us add the 12th digit to all the 11-digit barcodes. There is an easy formula for adding the 12th digit.

I wondered if anyone here may be of help to me as i’m struggling to find a solution.
I’m looking for a scanner or a company which has some sort of API that can work with all models of scanners and work via my website or a solution to the below.
I need to be able to have multiple scanners connect to a central database and scan via ethernet or internet connection simultaneously and return an action back to the scanner (IE. Accepted or Denied etc) – Each barcode can only be scanned once no matter how many scanners connected at this time.
I’m having trouble finding the right solution or the best/easiest way to do this so that it can be setup with my website. I need it to be able to let my clients run it from there end via there internet connection.
- Bonus would be to have the system work with as many scanners and models as possible that can be programmed.
- I’m un-sure which scanners would be ideal for my solution and be able to be programmed and used via Ethernet without each scanner being direcly connected to a computer. (With multiple scanners at once)

This project involves the creation of a plugin for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 to provide various barcoding functions for updating fields and pulling records. You *must* have experience in developing specifically for this platform and you *must* have experience in developing for barcode devices, specifically Symbol bar code scanners.
The idea is this: We will create bar code labels with the GUID and if need be, the objecttypecode of an entity in CRM as well as some additional action flag to indicate what is to be done.
Feature 1) Pulling records.
If it is a Case/Incident, scanning it will first check the user’s user role. If they belong to one or more administrative groups to be specificed, a window will pop up with the “edit” form for that entity.
If they belong to one or more technical groups to be specified, it will pull up that entity but go to a notetaking tab.
Feature 2) Department scanning.
On Case/Incidents, scanning a variation of the barcode above with some kind of flag on it will quietly update a picklist field for that ticket to indicate which department is currently responsible for the ticket. When the technical group scans it, that value changes to “Technical” and so forth.

We are in need of a logo for one of our projects. Essentially, the logo we are looking for is a crab (as in a beach crab) with a barcode on its back. This will be our icon for a barcode project we are working on. We want the logo to be clean, modern, and stylish. The requirement details are as follows:
1. A high-resolution (eg. 3200×3200) logo based on the above description with a transparent background.
2. A copy of the same logo with the name of the project incorporated into it (We’ll give you the name after big acceptance)
3. At least three initial drafts of different concept designs so we can get some options out there and pick and choose what elements we like
