I need to install and configure R1Soft Backup on a linux hosting server.

I’m trying to create a way to update files on an hourl_y basis with backup versions using a php file that can be ran as a cronjob.

For example I would like to replace the contents of index.php with the contents of the file ../backups/backup_index.php and admin.php with ../backups/backup_admin.php

4) Make changes to nameservers and make sure that the domain is pointing the new host for emails and hosting and everything.

I have a backup file from the cpanel of my website. The extension on the backup file is “.tar.” I need to get the articles from this backup into a “.txt” format so that I can repost the articles on my website. I believe the articles are in a file with an “.sql” extension.

I am needing a website migrated from one domain to another. I have my backup file and the database backup but need someone to set it up and get it running on my new domain name. Need someone who is experienced with SSH to access my website which is on a dedicated server. i have been in touch with the host who behaves as though i am a technician, and I don’t understand what they mean by command line blah blah. Also the guy who installed the website is away on holiday for 2 weeks, and i need a backup of my website.

I have all logins. But I have tried the remote desktop but will not connect. I am stuck, I was told to use SSH command line.

We use bacula to backup about 40-60 servers.
For settings config files, a bash script is used. It takes info of txt-files (containing namens, passwords, etc).
This script (about 100 lines) needs to be modified, so it also makes different pools for:
1 Full backup per week
6 Incremental backups for last week
Pruning Incrementals after 7 days
Pruning Full backups after 20 day

I can deliver existing script. Knowledge of bacula for backup may be needed.

I need the following created.

User Program:

The user needs to be able to enter a username and password to login. Then, the user needs to be able to select the files they would like to backup to my server (see below). Files not already on the server need to be backed up automatically every 6 hours. I am looking for a very simple user interface.

Admin Program:

This is the program I will use. It can be a self contained program, or one accessed through my web browser. I need to be able to create user accounts, manage the file directory of the saved files (where to store them on my server), and be able to see the last time my client’s computer was backup up. I also need to be able to instigate a backup.

Note:

This is a internet connected backup program. The client computer will need to automatically connect to my IP address and the backup server as programmed into the (above) admin program. Files will be transferred online – NOT locally.

Our project is very simple.

1) Configure a third party (backup) Centos server to support rsync/samba so that it will be able to receive cPanel incremental backups using samba mount.

2) Configure a cPanel (main) hosting server to use incremental backups daily to a third party server directly using samba mount.

3) Write step-by-step instruction for dummies how to setup this themselves.

Both servers are Centos based and running cPanel.
