I need a developer experienced with Amazon AWS (s3, MechanicalTurk, Ec2, API integration) to integrate a website with the Amazon Mturk API.

This website will communicate with mturk via API: allow a user to create HITs, allow the HITs to be completed, automatically notify me when the HIT is complete, re-post HITs on completion for WORKERS to grade the original HIT. It will also be able to track WORKER metrics data over time.

This job is to, using RightScale, automate the creation of an EC2 instance, start RStudio in that instance, and automatically email me the URL of the RStudio server so I can access it. Since the EC2 instance name changes each time, I want to receive an email with the URL of the current instance. Dropbox should be running in the R home folder. The deliverable for this job are *instructions* for me to set up RightScale to accomplish the following with a single click (i.e. all I should have to do is log in to RightScale and “start” the instance) in order to (a) provision an appropriate instance on EC2 – (b) install R – (c) install R Studio – (d) start R studio server, including creating a user and password (e) Start Dropbox in the R home folder and (f) email me the URL I can use to connect to R Studio through my browser. Note: Instructions should include screenshots of each step needed. You will likely need to create one or more RightScale scripts to install R and R Studio, and to start R Studio.

I have a site with an existing Amazon S3 framework (programmed by a very good Scriptlance programmer) where files are uploaded, and downloaded securely.

I have had some new upload features added to my site (image upload and video upload) that at the moment only upload to the local web server.
I require these new upload functions to be plugged into the existing S3 upload framework, and then once uploaded, the files should be made available via HTTP using Cloudfront making the images viewable, and the videos streamable.

Files will also need to be deleted from S3 when the user decides (Delete code also written already).

The upload functions you will be working with use SWFUPLOAD, and all upload code is strictly Object Orientated.

AWS Amazon Signed Authentication

I need experienced AWS coder in PHP to fix an existing script. You must be experienced to bid.

I had a server-side script written in PHP to fetch all data fields and information for any category in Amazon’s product database. This PHP script uses the AWS available to developers and is used in 1000′s of sites and apps

The Fetch routine from AWS requires sending the account ID# and Secret Key to combine for a Signed Authentication. Once accepted then Amazon allows you to fetch the data.

It was working fine after Amazon required signed authentication for data fetch this year on 15 August 2009.

Now the script is hung up when the fetch page is fired by cron job. IT will not fetch the data. The fetch routine fails and gives the error codes and then loops back to try again, ultimately timing out and stopping.

The coder has done a disappearing act, so I need to hire a new PHP coder with complete experience using Amazon AWS and the signed authentication protocols to look at the script and fix the problem.

The source code for the script is all open and commented fully. I can give you the code and full explanation of how it works . The fetch page can be fired manually in a browser to see the messages from the fetch routine.

I need a developer to assist in creating a simple application that leverages the Amazon AWS APIs. Here is what it needs to do:
1) Accept PayPal payment to approve the order.
2) Submit an API call via the Amazon AWS system to upload user data that was entered during the order.

I got this ALREADY MADE Visual Basic script that utilize Microsoft excel macro to retrieve data from amazon book inventory. The typical webcrawler that withdrawal book title, author name, and description of book etc.

Now that amazon required people who use the AWS service needs to have a signature confirmation every time he/she retrieves data from its database. I need a programmer to add this new requirement to the visual basic script that I have already.

You really do not need to do much other than add some 4 lines of VB codes for the signature confirmation in the original script and that’s it.

We are looking for software similar to JungleDisk… It will have less features but the key is that it will backup selected folders on a users hard drive to Amazon S3 when scheduled. It will only backup changed files.

We have visual interface. We have specs.

The logic is not difficult.
- User selects folders to backup, user selects schedule.
- Backup runs when scheduled. Checks for changed files. Compresses, Encrypts and Uploads files. Logs to local DB.
- Keeps multiple/deleted versions (user defined)
- User defines encryption password, or allows the system defines it.
- Restore tab shows files available to restore. Allows for Point-in-time recovery.
- Needs to run on Windows/Mac
- Rebranding client for resellers
- The application will live in the toolbar and/or dock when minimized
- It would be nice to have as a service so it can run when nobody is logged in
- Installation will ask for Username/Password or Serial No. and confirm/request customer information (via web services – the services are available on our end and do not need to be programmed.)

- There will be limited reports.
- The application will interact with our web services to receive any notifications from our servers (i.e. the account is overlimit, or the account is expired)

We’d like this programmed in something like Realbasic that uses a single source to create Windows/Mac runtimes, but we are flexible. Price needs to include both Windows/Mac versions though Mac can wait until Windows version is built and tested.

Chipmunk AWS script is great for creating an amazon bookstore. It is not just an RSS feed from amazon but gives you full control of products you want to display and feature in categories that you create. It does take a little more work as you have to enter in all product info except for price which is automatically updated once every day.
