Queues are commonly used in network systems. For example, e-mail is placed in queues while it is waiting to be sent and after it arrives at the recipient’s mailbox. A problem occurs, however, if the outgoing mail processor cannot send one or more of the messages in the queue. For example, a message might not be sent because the recipient’s system is not available.

Write an email simulator that processes mail at an average of 40 messages per minute. As messages are received, they are placed in a queue. For the simulation, assume that the messages arrive at an average rate of 30 messages per minute. Remember, the messages must arrive randomly, so you will need to use random number generator to determine when messages are received.

Each minute, you can dequeue up to 40 messages and send them. Assume that 25% of the messages in the queue cannot be sent in any processing cycle. Again, you will need to use a random number to determine whether a given message can be sent. If it can’t be sent, put it back at the end of the queue (enqueue it).

Run the simulation for 24 hours, tracking the number of times each message had to be requeued. At the end of the simulation, print the statistics that show:

a. The total messages processed.
b. The average arrival rate.
c. The average number of messages sent per minute.
d. The average number of messages in queue in a minute.
e. The number of messages sent on the first attempt, the number sent on the second attempt, and so forth.
f. The average number of times messages had to be requeued (do not include the messages sent the first time in this average)

Program can be write in C++ or Java in an easy to understand programming. it should can be run in command prompt and no GUI needed. It’s just a simple program for understanding topics in class.

Hi, i need something really simple, i have system with some parameters it is based on ATR, when price is touching chanel then system is giving signal for buy or short.

I would like to add new function – using different parameters of system based on Moving average

example:

SystemA with some parameters
SystemB (same as system A but with different parameters)

Imagine a box. The top of the box is H2 and the bottom is H3. Price MAs are in the middle of the box going up, they crossed H3 going up an hour ago. At 0900 gmt I enable the EA. It calculates MA is rising (one or both MAs are rising up through level) and has entered the box travelling upwards.
If option “momentum” is selected then a pending buy order is placed at the pivot level BELOW the MA (the bottom of the box). This pending order is good until the next pivot level is breached by MA.

If option “Both” is selected then as above but the EA will place a pending order at the bottom of the box on H4 to buy and ALSO at the top of the box (H3) to sell. Both pending orders remain good until one is touched and opened. If I have selected OCO as true then it wll close the other pending order.
I need to tell it how many trades it can do while it is on.

I need to set the TP/SL level as a number or next level.

This is a long explanation but in essence place a buy or sell or both at pivot levels on the pivot levels I have decided I want live.

Once it has done a trade thats it, no more for the time period allowed, I don’t want it opening multiple trades unless I have enabled 2, 3, 4 etc.

So allow x live trades by EA while it is on or unlimited option please.

The EA looks back and calculates this and places a pending sell order at the pivot level ABOVE MAs (in this case H4 assuming mid pivots have not been enabled). TP will be the next pivot/cam/mid pivot level. SL is user eneterd.

Pending order is placed and stays in place until the next level is broken by MA.

This will work on a 5 minute chart. I will use visual backtesting so it needs to leave a marker on the screen of where it enetered.

Lot size entered by user

I have a manage trade EA which code is also available. I would like the option to use this incorporated into the EA, so if the manage trade EA was enabled then TP would be infinite. This needs the option to change whether close 1/3 or half or all at first level.

Any more Qs please ask. I know it reads lot but it is quite simple, MA cross level, when EA come on look back and place order at level. To look back might be difficult.

I would expect you to check it works before sending me the EX4 file. I then check as well. I own source at the end of this.

I’m also looking for a logo icon, the logo can also be incorporated in the banner. I like the current logo, I’m just looking for an icon to add to the logo, I’d like it very simplistic, maybe just line-art. I’d like the logo to be a cute dog face tilted slightly to the side. The dog should have somewhat big ears like a chiwawa, and one of the ears should be folded. I have a linux server running a video streaming site. My server is equipped with a firewall software and that is it. Recently it is under some attacks that make the load average spike to 30 or more, which makes all video streaming become very slow. I use command to track the IP which has the most connection but it give me a weird result. Like

So my IP is 97.97.220.xx and it has 51 connections to the server even though I only watch one video right now.

As soon as I restart Apache, the load average drop to around 1.00 only but after a while when it spikes to 30 again.

What I did before was I just ban all IP which have connection over 60 to the servers but I don’t think it is accurate anymore since my IP (which only stream one video) still has 51 connections.

So I would like a professional help to to strengthen the server, install some more security mods, fixing the current issue of load average and show me how to do the same if I have another server. I am using Cpanel 11.

I have a db that has 2 categories that visitors can give a rating from 1 to 5. In addition, they can also choose to not rate one of the 2 categories and give a value of NR (no rating). My issue is when I pull all the values from the database, I do not know how to give an average rating when there are “NR” values. In addition to an average rating per category, I need a combined rating of the 2 categories (when a rating is given) and an overall grade (A-F) based upon the overall grade.

Using class data type to write a simple student records report program

As records secretary for Cougar High School, you have been asked by the principal to prepare a report on the grades of some of the school’s top athletes. Specifically, you must print each of the athlete’s average letter grades based on their scores from three academic courses. Input will be taken from the file stufile.txt, which is organized as follows: Each athlete in the file has four lines of information recorded – name (at most 20 characters including the comma and white space), student ID (SS#), class rank (1=Freshman, 2=Sophomore, 3=Junior, 4=Senior), and the three scores. Information for at most 15 athletes is stored in the file, but the first line of the file contains an integer showing the exact number of athletes.

Use class data type as data representation of a student record. Then, design member functions to do the statistics, reporting, etc. Look at the sample specification file proj1_prototype.h for the suggested data type declarations. For each student, your program should calculate the average of the 3 scores and determine the letter grade based on the average (A – 90 or above, B – between 80 and 90, C – between 70 and 80, D – between 60 and 70, and F – below 60). also, your program must find the students with the highest and the lowest averages.

Your program must read in student information from “stufile.txt”. You can create the file and copy the examples in the following and save them in the file. Or, you can create your own file using the format specified above.

The output of the program should include the echo-print of all the records that are read from the input file and the statistical data specified as follows. 2. Average Monthly Generated Rake – Allow between $100-$2000

I want the calculator to account for a 3 tier structure.

During Level 1 you invite 10 people.

The strategy is basically to find average of ‘Highs’ of Nth number of candles and compare that average value with those Highs, then a decision will be taken and at thesame time, send pending order. Also find average of Lows of last Nth candles, compare that absolute average value with those Lows of the candles, take a decision and at thesame time, send pending order.values to be used as output will be discussed with the programmer after acceptance of bid.Note, time to trade will also be included as output. After putting in so much time and getting heavy traffic I see my earnings are too low. Averaging 3$ a day.

I need someone who is EXPERT IN ADSENSE OPTIMIZATION to monetize my site to be more profitable.

The project is for handicapping race horses.

1)Ability to manually enter race variants for multiple race tracks into the program.

2)Will need to have racetrack base numbers(what is considered 100 based on a specific time)for each distance. This is how variant is derived. This will need to be done for each track though many tracks use the same base figures.

3)Will need to download comma,delimited files (Equibase), This is the racing form information with all applicable horse data.

4)Once files are downloaded program must calculate the speed figures for each horse based on the variants that were input for that particular racetrack.

5) Program will also calculate the pace figures for the race. The pace figures include Race Pace, Average Pace and Horse Fractional Pace. this will be done for each horse in the race. Program will also use average pace figure along with speed figure to give a race rating for each horse. This is simply adding the two figures together.

6) Internal fractions or times of each horse must be calculated. This is based off of a horses beaten lengths at each call and taken from the race times.

7)Format of the figures should have the calculated Pace numbers as well as The speed figure just below the race running lines (See past performances of Equibase or the Daily Racing Form for example). Also would like the ability to have a printout of just the figures for each horse or all the horses of a particular race.

8)Would like the ability to access the data of race classes to see average winning times and Pace and Speed figures based on class (Ex: 10K claimers, 50k claimers, Allowance horses etc.) This could be optional.

9)Ability to upgrade the program in the future, with the possibility of going web based for various users. this would include data file transfers.

This is the basic setup of the program. The specific details will be addressed once the project gets going. This includes calculations of the Pace figures. How to assign the variant to the speed figures. any data sheets or reports that will be needed.

Not sure of the best possible database or the options. I have MS Access but can purchase another if needed.

Need a website that fetch/grab the data on daily basis from pricegrabber.com, idealo.de, skapiec.pl and other websites (should be able to add new websites, run it from different locations for distributed grabbing, and run based on categories selected) for sale assistance. Data would have to be matched based on a product name or sku, etc and displayed on a webpage in a row(if automatically can not be done it should be done manually).

Pages should have:

Manufacturer, Model, Category, Description, vendor, Lowest Price from pricegrabber (will calculate currency based on the default selected) and actual grabbed , Lowest price from idealo.de (will calculate currency chosen from the website) and actual grabbed , and Lowest price from other websites (will calculate currency chosen from the website) and actual grabbed. a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest. b) Remove certain vendors that have unreal prices or are untrusted. c) Show percentage of difference

a) Highlight in green the price that is the lowest and in the red that is the highest.
b) Ability to go over the ave. price and click on the price to go to the particular website
c) Next to prices in parenthesis put a percentage between lowest and website price.
d) All pulled data should be stored in the database for easy retrieval

3. Reporting module to Generate reports from the data stored in the database It has to be easy to integrate into a website (modular design) and have admin site to control the configuration. All parameters used should be configurable. Example i should be able to add a new column if needed. Additional website (price search engine) should be easy to add. The data grabber website should run without locking up, be fast and responsive. The design should be very simple and attractive.
