We are moving from one autoresponder solution (AutoresponsePlus) to a new one (Office Autopilot) and need help with the transfer of messages/webforms.

I am using a contact form script. It is working properly.

My issue is that when I receive the form results by email, my autoresponder is not going to the sender because the message headers show it coming from my email server. I tested the autoresponder manually, and it is working as well.

What I would like to do is:
A) modify the script so it triggers the autoresponder properly

or

B) Add the text from my autoresponder to the script so the sender gets the message emailed to them.

This should be a very simple task for any php experts. I would like to have this done ASAP.

Attached is the script file. I can also send you a link to the test page that has the form if needed. If you need any other details, I will be glad to provide them, but this seems pretty straight forward.

I moved my autoresponder system moved to a new host. It is almost working ok, for example, you can manually subscribe people, they can sign via a form, all the test messages are ok.

It should however be possible for someone to send an email and be signed up for that autoresponder message.

This part does not work – although it did work when it was with the previous host.

I am sure this is a simple problem but I am unable to fix it myself.

I am looking for a way to send sequential emails, and also one time ‘announcement’ type emails. Up until now I have been using external autoresponders, but this is becoming cumbersome.

I would like a php mailer (or if you know a better way I am all ears) that would get the subscribers info from my current sql database, with a few modifications, we would probably need to add a ‘messages’ table.

I need to have a ‘throttle’ variable on the mailer, to keep the load lighter on my server. I have one membership site with over 40K members…that would be way too much to try and blast out all at once, so something like an email every 5-6 seconds should be manageable.

Also the ability to send in batches, say 500 at a time. I would then just run this script via cron once an hour. I would like to be able to do this so I can send out the announcement emails as a priority, and jump the queue…in the messages table we would just have a ‘message_type’ and label announcements ’1′ and sequentials ’2′, and then sort by the priority…I hope that makes sense.

I am pretty confident I could do everything up to this point – but rather than have someone come into my hacked-together script it might just be easier for you to start fresh…

Here’s what I don’t know how to do:

I would really like this script to keep track of bounced emails, so that I am not continually trying to send emails to someone who has an invalid email address; something like a 3 strikes and you’re out system that would set the member to ‘un-subscribed’ (which I would just add to my members table).

I assume we would need to create a ‘bounceback’ email address for this purpose…

Once the email was sent it would set the ‘sending’ field to 0, so that it would just skip past all the ones that have been sent…I have a feeling we need to keep track of sent messages to figure out bounced emails – if not it would probably be easier and faster for the script to just delete that entry from the ‘messages’ table after sending.

What I need:

1) Create exact same site with EXACT same pages & content but much more professional looking and more functional for editing content & seo by users who are not too webdesign savy..

2) When people purchase the products they are taken directly to paypal. We need an easy way to capture their email & name into a database so we can market to them via email without having to physically go into paypal and copy & paste their info. I don’t know the best way to do this, but we don’t want the user to have to enter their name & email in a form and then have to do it again on paypal… we want them to enter it once, but somehow have their info stored in a database for the email autoresponder.

3) Email auto-responder created. We want the site to be able to automatically send a series of pre-written emails at preset times once they submit their info. We also need the ability to manually create an email and send to everyone with custom fields like first name.

4) We need an admin section with a user friendly interface that allows me to edit all info on each page (seo, title, keywords, content, etc.)

The admin section will also allow me create new pages for the testimonials, and before & after pics. It should have an area to add text and then simply press “submit” and the page will be created.
