Audio Recorder

September 3rd, 2009 Comments off

We need a software that will record the audio from the PC onto MP3, WMA, or WAV format files, to be chosen.

The software needs to be able to record conversations held through Skype, Google Talk, MSN, and any other VOIP applications. It should NOT be an add-on, it should be a separate application. Ideally, it will record (if chosen) every sound passing through the sound card, meaning, every sound that comes out of the speakers (line-out) and that goes through the microphone (line-in).

It will have quality recording options:
* 24, 48, 64, 96, 128, 192, 256, 312 kbps
* 8-48 kHz
* 16-32 bit, etc.
* Mono, Stereo

Also, this software is to have an extra feature that, after the audio is recorded, the voice of one or more members of the conversation may be digitally altered, so that they won’t be recognizable. Ideally, the software will give the option to record the voices taking part in the conversation separately, in different channels (line-in on Channel 1, line-out on Channel 2), so that one voice can be altered while the other one remains as recorded.

The software will also have a player, so that the files can be played in it. It will have the following ‘buttons’: play, pause, stop, next track, previous track, fast forward, fast backward.

It should be able to run under Windows ME, XP, Vista, and 7 (32- and 64-bit systems). Mac and Linux options to be discussed.

This is a draft, if you have other options, suggestions, need for specifications or more questions, we can discuss.

Place your bid.

We allready use a online open source video editing application and therefore we would like a feature where users also can record some audio online and automatical saves the file on our server and then they can use the audio in there online videoproject.
