I need a change to the way Virtuemart handles product stock. Currently, as you know, Virtuemart has a global stock value for the products, we however, need the stock to be tied to the Attributes. Need to install 2 modules that will display zen cart attribute products on a grid and a product code so shopper can enter quantities in separate boxes next to each size (S,M,L,XL,XXL,XXXL). I the modules attached but can’t get them to install and work properly. Need programmer who understands attributes and can figure out why the mod will not work and fix it. The product code module for attributes is written in German but need it in American English.

I need someone to create a php cron script for magento which will update order status’s for me, following a set of rules which I will specify, for example:

Check all new orders in the system.
If the delivery address post code = x, y or z then update the orders status to “status2″
If the amount paid for shipping < x then update status to “status3″
If the amount paid for shipping > x then update status to “status4″

The script also needs to look at the attributes for the product they have ordered and update an order attribute depending on what they have ordered. ie there’s a product attribute called “number of labels”, so look at that attribute and multiply the “number of labels” by the quantity purchased of that item and then save the result back to the database as an order attribute.

The script should output its results as it goes so when it’s run in a browser you can see what’s happening to each order, ie:

Order ID 123 weight = 2kg therefore status updated to x etc etc

This script is to replace one that I’ve been using for years that was coded for oscommerce, but now we’re upgrading to magento it needs rewriting.

I have uploaded two text files explaining the requirements in more detail. One of which is effectively some rough pseudo code for what needs to be created.

The code should be fully commented so that I can edit it later on if changes need making.

This can be a totally stand alone system that just updates the database , and is run by cron every 10 mins or so.

We have developed a Magento site for uniforms. We just are looking for somebody with magento back-end experience to upload our product data into the magento site. There are about 130 different garments, each which come in numerous color and material-ways and sizes.
-You can set various simple product attributes to simplify the process by a lot.
-basic attributes are: color, sizes, male or female, pricing structure.
-product descriptions must be added, all provided in excel sheet.
-must add similar products to display on front end in each product entry
-must be able to utilize common sense in putting in meta data tag in back end, (i’m sure you are familiar with this).
This is a simple yet tedious project. There is a total of about 125-140 products.

Prestashop comes with preset attribute groups and attribute values. When I create a product combination using a preset attribute value all goes fine. But when I create my own attribute group and value, and use it for a product combination, the product screen will show in the front end : (Availability: The product does not exist in this model. I need a file upload system for Magento. When a customer places an order for a certain product, they must upload a file. (Only jpg, gif, pdf etc)

Also, I need 4 products with 4 attributes set up. For example..

This works well except for a slight glitch. The xml file contains many field tags such as: <field name=”mailingAddressState” value=”Maine” />. The value attribute contains the customer supplied data from the form. The glitch occurs whenever the customer types either a & or ” character (ampersand or double quote characters) in a text field. When those characters are put in the value attribute string, the resulting xml file is not valid. (Xml does not allow bare ampersands or double quote characters inside attribute strings.) The xml file being invalid causes my XLST processor to quit with an error. What I have been doing at that point is to edit the xml file by hand and then restarting the XSLT processor. Now that I am automating even more of the process, it would be very nice to eliminate this editing by hand step. So …

Step 3) Can you change the code that generates the xml file from the form data so that:
a) All ampersands in the value attributes are replaced with the escape sequence &
b) All double quotes in the value attributes are replaced with the escape sequence "

If a user buys and does not select the Virtuamart attribute , it will open a pop-up message that says “Please choose the size of the product”

I have an instance of OSCMax modded with Product Attribute Pictures.

Change 1:

The site works really well but on the product info page I need
for the product image to be changed by both tha attibute picture and by the dropdown.

If a product attribute picture is clicked to change the product image then the dropdown must reflect this selection and vice versa.

Change 2: when added to the shopping cart the attribute image should be shown and not the main product image.

To prove that you have read this and also that you know OSCMax I have some questions:

what is the name of the function that you will need to modify to add a javascript onchange event to to achieve change 1 and what file is it in.

If you cannot answer the above question please do not bid.

It used to work, however something has happened and it no longer adds the product name etc to the DB.

I would like a new way of selecting a product on the front end. E.g. to find the battery that matches a certain device.
A customer would select:
- Brand (e.g. Canon)
- Device (e.g. fotocamera)
- Model (e.g. DC50)

After each selection, The final selection (here DC50) leads to the selected product (here: the replacement battery for a canon DC50 camera). See attache image for an example.
Note: the list of models can be quite long (100+); setting up an attribute value for each and every model would be quite cumbersome. One solution could be that you would be able to enter multiple values for one attribute;
e.g: MODEL: DC50 DC60 DC70 DC-44 DC 777. this woule be a text attribute in which the new product selector could search for the selected model (e.g. DC50).

The selection shoud be ipmlemented SEO friendly and should be independent of other search/selection mechanisms. Meaning: if you browse to to category Canon via Magento’s standard menu, you should still be able tu select Fuji in the new product selector and vice versa.

For our ecommerce digital printing we need to change the attributes of Virtuemart. We must first add a specific SKU for each attribute, which must be combined with the overall product. This consists of one SKU of product and attributes must be present at the checkout, email, etc.. We also need to add the attribute for which the price should not be multiplied by the quantity of product required. Also in the detail page will appear a button to calculate total before inclusion in the cart.

All of the standard OS Commerce functionality should still work ok with all of these modules installed.

The file manager must be removed from the admin side as must the database backup utility.

I will want the admin folder renamed to something unique and this must be reflected in the configure files.

I would also like the database tables given a unique prefix and also the foldernames, maybe even the filenames (we can talk about this – as this is all configurable through the filenames and the datanase php files).

It must run on PHP 5 and Mysql 5 and be as secure as possible.

I am using Prestashop version 1.2.4.

Prestashop allows various combinations of products, and these combinations can impact the price of the item.

The product attributes that make up the combinations are displayed in drop down menus that the customer can select.

For example, if you start with a “Widget”, the customer can choose to make it a “large blue Widget” by choosing “large” from one drop down menu and “blue” from another.

In this example, large increase the price of the widget by $10.00 and blue increases the price by $5.00.

The problem is, that Prestashop does not show the prices for the attributes, so the customer does not know that making the widget large is going to increase the price by $10.00 until after they have made the selection.

I would like to have the price of the attribute displayed next to the attribute in the drop down menu:

Large – $10.00
Medium – $5.00

without hard coding it into the description. The reason being, is that I have different customer groups with diffent discounts. I would like the attribute price to change in the drop down box as different customers log in.

Right now, for every property in the attributes you can add a value for price. I would like to add an additional value for “weight” to the same property this also doesnt need to be visible for the customers.
