WordPress Modification

This WordPress site has been modified to be like a magazine site.

The homepage has four quadrants that represent one post assigned to each quadrant: top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right.

Each quadrant has a header and a post title.

As of now, the previous programmer has all posts assigned to one category (homepage). I need each quadrant/post assigned to its own category (homepage top left, etc) so that the client will know where to assign a particular post when he creates a new one to replace the old one.

Extract Issue Throughput Kpis From Mantis

May 8th, 2011 Comments off

We want to measure the number of issues being reported and resolved each month and be able to export the data in CVS

For a selected Mantis project, between two dates that the user specifies at the time, available for CSV download:

Part 1

- The number of new issues reported
- For each Mantis user, the number of:
— Assignments of issues (assignment events) to that user (if reassigned, both assignment events would be counted)
— Issues assigned to that user that were resolved
— Issues assigned to that user that were closed
— Issues assigned to that user that were given feedback status
— Issues currently assigned to the user on the start date
— Issues currently assigned to the user on the end date

Part 2

Grouped by the first 5 characters of the Category names, the number of issues:
– Reported
– Resolved
– Closed

I have specified Part 2 with a view to making it as low cost as possible. If you have an alternative solution to splitting up stats by groups of categories, please suggest it.

If possible this should be written as a plugin so that other people could benefit from it and it could be easily added to a Mantis installation

Vbulletin Plugin/modification.

March 14th, 2010 Comments off

This is how I visualize this paticular modification to work

An admin of the forum creates a Category with a companies name, or guild forum for a clan, for example “Gaming Guys”

Once that’s done, he or she would then go into the Administration panel and add a moderator to that Category and in the process, tick checkboxes on that page with additional permissions that don’t come with VBulletin, such as..

Can add/delete/edit forums. (Default: Unticked)
Can edit style assigned to this forum (Default: Unticked)
Can edit permissions of this forum (Default: Unticked)
Can add/remove/edit moderators to this forum (Default: Unticked)

Once that’s done, the assigned moderator would then log into the MODCP (Moderator Control Panel) of VB and would be presented with the same options that are normally reserved for admins, but they ONLY apply to the forums he or she is MODERATOR of.

If the moderator in question were to add a subforum to their category, they would be automatically given full moderation of that extra subforum, with the extra permissions already applied.

Additionally, the newly created forum would also inherit any custom theme settings setup on the parent category. (if any theme is assigned)

If a style is assigned to the category or newly created subforums, the moderator would then see an option in MODCP for editing of the assigned style, but ONLY that style which is assigned to the forums he or she is “Manager” of.

The moderator would also see options for access mask control of his/her assigned forums, as well as the ability to block or allow access to usergroups via forum permissions (but again, ONLY the forum he/she is assigned as moderator to)

Php Parse Data. Assign Catgory

September 23rd, 2009 Comments off

Joomla PHP – parse keyword data & assign article category.

This is PHP & MYSQL for Joomla. I have a very large database of articles that are not assigned to proper categories. Each article has a dedicated field with keyword statistics encoded in it. This data must be parsed and calculated to determine mathematically which category the article should be assigned to.

There are hundreds of thousands of articles and 10 categories into which each must be assigned. The keyword statistics field contains between 1 – 10 pieces of data that must be parsed and calculated to make the proper determination for each article. I have already built a simple regex example to parse the datafield and display key portions of the data. The data field is fomatted in a way that will allow it to be extracted using REGEX. Simple mathematical functions must be performed on this data to decide which category.

I wish to achieve a somewhat balanced number of articles assigned to each category. In order to achieve this, I wish to apply a BIAS (multiplier) to each category (to increase or decrease its value), thus increasing or decreasing the probability of more or fewer articles landing in the respective categories (this is visually explained in the attached word doc).

I have built a basic joomla site containing several hundred of these articles randomly assigned to categories, that can be used for development purposes (on your local server – restore via JoomlaCloner). When the code runs on the full database it will access hundreds of thousands of records. Please include a provision to deal with this issue (i.e. multiple passes of smaller sets).

This should be developed within Joomla, perhaps as a module. It does not have to be “user friendly” as it will be used only once (many iterations) to make these assignments. It does not need a user interface, and minor PHP code tweaks are acceptable to cause it to change its behavior. The mathematical result for each article should be stored to a new or unused database field so that the algorithm and results can be checked for accuracy.

I have done some minor data processing related to this using MOD_PHP (http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/edition/custom-code-in-modules/1758). This module allows PHP source to be entered directly into the module, which processes the data on each page load. This method might be adequate for this project, if the BIAS feature mentioned above is easy to manage/tweak in the source code.

I have attached a WORD document with more details about the data formatting and data processing requirements. The document also contains a link to the demo Joomla site that will be supplied for development purposes.

I wish to move quickly.

Virtuemart Shipping Module

September 15th, 2009 Comments off

Hello, we need a shipping module for virtuemart 1.1.2 running on joomla 1.5.14. We have a range of zipcodes (in different zones) that have to be assigned to certain amount of charge in order to get free shipping otherwise customer have to be charged certain amount of money based on assigned (to this particular customer) zipcode. Plus module have to work with SKU, because we have two stores and each store made as a 1-st level category in the website. So basically module have to be assigned to an anchor (for example product SKUs in one store starts from “1.*” and second store starts from “2.*”). Module have to be editable from front-end and have aconfig file to edit manually.
Please tell me price of such a module and dates.

Best regards
David

Clien Prospect Mgt System

August 2nd, 2009 Comments off

This will be a web based client management system in conjunction with a Real Estate company. The client will be able to view two properties then be required to register as prospects on the website. the Prospects will be assigned to Real Estate Agents and later loan officers and title company officers. Tasks will be assigned and email sent out daily with over due tasks and tasks due today.

Prospects will have property criteria they wish to view and nightly lists of properties will be emailed to them from the multiple listing system.

Transactions completed will be recorded for client history. and clients will be moved to a post sale category and get email such as newsletters instead of properties email to them

Real estate agents, Loan officers, title company officers will all be agents with different levels of access no administrator or administrative assistants will have a limited view of the client base limited to the clients and task assigned to them. Administrators will be able to view all clients and task.

Agenst will be able to build groups of tasks to be added for various changes in client status.

The will be some future data conversion possibilites as new agents are brought on board.

Some programing has been started using Dreamweaver with database and server behaviors. I would like to see the use of that for continued programing.

Nightly scripts have not been started and these will be implemented as cronjobs. The key is to be simple and straight forward for the agents and for futures enhancements.

Simple Job Assignment Script

July 5th, 2009 Comments off

I have been playing around with this for a few hours now, and cannot seem to figure out an easy way to do it.

I need a script which assigns people to jobs (in a simple table).

user input:
- the script has a checklist with jobs that may be turned on or off
- the script has 60 numbered fields which can be filled in with names

Categories with job listings…
C: Herps
J: Tortoise
J: Herp Station
J: Snake
J: Box Turtles
J: Aquatic Turtle
J: Salamander Station
J: Newt/Frog at Wetland
J: Savanna
C: Fuzzy
J: Chinchilla
J: Ferret
J: Hedgehog
J: Rabbit
J: Armadillo/Opossum
C: Birds/Other
J: Owl
J: Rainforest Station
J: Returning NT Station
J: Skulls
J: Hawk Talk
J: Other

There are THREE (3) shifts: First, Second, and Third. Each job needs a minimum of two people assigned to it for each shift. If there are enough people, jobs can randomly be assigned a third person (after all jobs have been assigned two).

Every person should work with a different partner (or partners) for each of their three shifts (if possible).

Every person should work a different category job (Herp, Fuzzy, Birds/Other) for each of their three shifts (if possible).

If all goes well, the script will output a table that has the above requirements with the jobs listed as rows and the shifts listed as columns with two (or three) names in each inner cell.

For an experienced programmer, this should be a snap. I’m not experienced though, so this would keep me stumped for hours.

Use the PMB to ask me questions. First person to post a demo of the script hosted on their server will be paid (working, of course).

Text-only table is fine – just be sure the borders are 1px.

I. Main Page
a. This page will consist
i. Company description.
1. Electronic web based mall linking customers to various products and services.
ii. Guest Sign Up and Login
1. The guest sign up will consist of visitors providing Name and Valid Email. (And Member referral ID if Provided)
a. The Guest Email will become their log in name and if no referral id provided they will be assigned to a members page such as www.xyz.com/Tom if referred they will be assigned refers page.
i. The next guest to sign up will be assigned to the next member in the database if now referral id is provided. Such as www.xyz.com/Fred
ii. This way each time a guest logs in to view products or services they will be taken to the members page they were assigned or referred. The goal of this is to build each members customer base and network.
b. An email containing there guest Log in (Email) and Password will be sent to their email.
iii. Members Log in.
1. Members log in will take members to their back page (Home Office).
a. There is no need for a Members sign up on the main page.
i. Guests are referred to become members through the Members Page they are assigned when they sign up as a guest.
II. Members Back Page (Home Office)
1. Here members will initially complete their set up process.
a. I plan on uploading video instructions walking users through the set up
b. Then they will enter each Id this changing the links on their main page to include their referral id
1. Member receives ID such as THudson81 and enters it into the appropriate id box on page set up
2. Now all links related to product will include their referral id
a. Example the link on the page will change to include the users referral id http://thudson81.ProductURL.net/?tid=TOMSSITE
c. If a user does not enter an id the link will include the id of the next member in their upline that completed that affiliate sign up.

1. Now all of Marks guest become his customers and he makes the commission.
ii. Post messages to the members message board
iii. Control and monitor Forum/Blog and assign members to monitor this section.
iv. Add new tools and information for marketing.
v. Control and program auto responders for guest and members.
IV. Members Front Page
a. Although members each share an identical page the links do change so if they want to recruit on their own they will need a specific URL
i. Such as www.xyz.com/fred
ii. Or www.xyz.com/tom
b. If they have not logged in as gust they will be required to here and be assigned under the referral.
i. So if Fred gives out his URL to a new member and they type that in directly to the browser they will be asked to fill out a guest sign up Name and email
1. This way each time they log in with that email they will be taken to Fred’s Page
c. Fred can also purchase his own domain name and have it forwarded to his specific URL giving him his own Identity.

The estore would need to have several categories of products. Thumbnail image layout. Once clicked a larger image with a description of the product. The product would need to have options such as colors and sizes.

The estore would be clean simple layout which the products can be viewed quickly and clearly.

Smarty Expert If/else Assign

May 7th, 2009 Comments off

Hello and thanks for reviewing my small project.

I need someone that is available right now for the next few hours and can work with me via yahoo instant messenger.

I will pay through SL Escrow.

The Project:

Login here with user: test2 pass: test2
https://www.alliedtruststore.com/index.php?ukey=auth

you can see there if active_aff = 1 right? well that’s it ..if the customers active_aff field = 1 ..show affliliate information and links…else do nothing …dont show it..this needs to be defined somewhere in a class i don’t know where

I only added the field in their SQL table already and i made it always default 0 varchar not null and i changed test2 to 0 and test30 to 1 to see if it works as you go.

*note
Please, if you are not a fluent SMARTY expert that has dealt with smarty templates and classes don’t bid. Guaranteed this is the hardest if statement you ever write and will take a solid hour or so do not waste my time thinking this is some simple in and out 10 min job any coder can do. EXPERT ONLY this is a very exploded script pulling assign’s from thin air. I will leave you bad feedback if not, if you don’t know smarty in and out don’t bid.

well this new field isnt smarty assigned anywhere …there are like 5 class.php files it could be in /modules /core funtctions /includes /classes

its not assigned so it will never show up for one…then to make it listen to a new if statement like if smatry.active_aff==1 or something then show this table…

i don’t know where it needs to be assigned …. /templates/frontend/user_account.html

<h1 align=”center”>Your Account Home </h1>
<table cellpadding=”15″ cellspacing=”0″ width=”100%”>
{section name=op loop=$ChildShortHTMLs}
{if $ChildShortHTMLs[op].tpl ne ”}
{include file=$ChildShortHTMLs[op].tpl}
{/if}
{/section}
</table>

/templates/frontend/short_affilaite_program.tpl
