I need a very simple air application or cheap alternative. However, I want to also use this webapp as a desktop app converting it to an Adobe Air installer file. When I convert this to AIR, nothing shows up in the place of the Twitter Widget. I spent hours on it and I can not figure it out.

We are looking for an Adobe Air application written in Flex 2.5 (spark). The application will watch a folder, when a new image is added to the folder it will be detected by the application and will load the image. Flow after this point as follows:

* Photo detected in watched folder
* Photo loaded into application
* Data entered by user (email, name, etc)
* Submit button clicked
* Photo saved to new folder on system
* Path to photo and entered data added to SQLite database
* Photo uploaded to Facebook
* Data sent to external server (NOT part of application build)
* Continue watching folder for new images

Facebook uploading “queue” should work independently of main application, so user does not have to wait for photo to upload before continuing.

Test application for photo loading and Facebook is already written and will be available to the developer.

We are looking for a solution to the following problem.
We have an Air application that we would like to connect to a remote MySQL database which is on our web server.

1. a Php MySQL connection to a remote server that works when Air application is deployed to many users?
We can connect locally but as soon as we try deploy we get errors, even after we load all the Php files to the (website) server.

2. We have a requirement that the user can update the MySQL using a datagrid, this is the easy part, our problem is quite unique in that the database updates each hour with new data, what we need is a solution that detects when a user makes a change to a cell in the datagrid and then restricts any updates to that cell until a (for example) checkbox is clicked off, then it allow will updates as usual.

Not really sure how to go about doing this?

Finally could we use livecycle DS single CPU version (free) for a project that requires us to create a custom Air application for many users but all link to same database?
