Objective of the Website

Users can give ratings along with reviews, opinions, feedbacks to anything in the world. From giving ratings to users/contacts to their work to reviewing/rating or writing opinions or providing feedback about products or services to rating events, rating profiles to rating companies to rate countries, environment, processes, infrastructure, any user content can be rated, reviewed, opinionated & feedbacked. Users can also make friends, can increase their social network through similar interest groups and so on.
User Features

- No need to register for posting reviews, ratings, opinions, feedbacks for various products and services. Site should allow review, rating, opinion, feedbacks to be posted by just a display name which user has to choose while posting these reviews, ratings, opinions, feedbacks. User should also have option to register (with all validations) and avail benefits associated with registration/premium registration.
- Registration type – Professional, businessmen, Student, Homemaker, etc
- User should have an option to create profile after registration. User should have his/her independent home page.
- Also Advertisers should have their own homepage where in they can do their advertisement management. See reports etc
- The profile photo should be visible along with the review when read by someone else. the intelligent thumbnail scaling option should also be available for viewing photos.
- User should have an option to create friend/professional list like facebook or orkut in his/her home page.
- Users should have an option to review and rate registered members. Users also can write opinions, feedback to other registered users.
- All rating should be AJAX based. No need to submit ratings. Just by clicking on stars the rating should apply to any applicable/defined/assigned object of the site
- Option to search reviews, ratings, opinions, feedbacks from the zip code, state, city or country
- User should have an option to send review via emails to friends & family
- After search for a product or service the site should show users with an option to compare similar products or services searched by user.
- Users should have an option to rate others reviews as thumbs up or thumbs down. Also a users can add reviews/documents/users/someone’s work into his/her favourite list. The review summary should show the count of thumbs up & thumbs down at the bottom of review
- Website should show the count of reviews in all the sub categories
- Website should show top rated / most viewed reviews, ratings, opinions
- Website should show top users who are entering most reviews, ratings, opinions
- Website should show top 10 products and top 10 services in the user country, state & city
- Site should have AJAX based all social bookmarks, tell a friend, invite friends from yahoo, msn, orkut, facebook contact lists , newsletter subscription and other viral marketing tools
- User can invite friends for reviews or invite friends to rate their reviews, ratings, opinions
- Users can create new sub-categories and post reviews, ratings, opinions under them. But these reviews, ratings, opinions would only be posted after admin approval. Admin should have rights to modify name of these sub-categories created by user to reduce spell mistakes
- User should have an option to get premium access where in their reviews, opinions, feedback would get featured listing or user can write links in his/her reviews for self promotion.
- By default all reviews, ratings, opinions to be created in the user country->state->city choosen during registration process. Updation of country->state->city by user should move his/her all existing reviews, ratings, opinions, feedbacks, any other data into that country->state->city DB/table
- When user searches reviews or clicks a sub-category to view reviews posted by others then reviews should be shown in Mouthshut format and should have an option to move to next or any of the page number visible at the bottom of the page.
- Save search option for users to save their regular/favourite searches.
- User should have option to upload content into the website which should be visible to others (basis the user preference/security setttins). The content can be documents, excel files, ppts, programming source codes, scripts for web development, videos, music, etc. User can upload content only after he accepts the copyright/trademark/other terms mentioned by site. Other users based on rights can rate, review, put opinions & feedback about this content.
Admin Features

- Site should have advertisment module to manage ads on the site or in between the review (left or right like mouthshut), opinion, feedback content. Site should have an option of enabling/disabling random/prioritywise advertisements, change layout of advertisements, featured ads, header ads, footer ads, in reviews ads, etc
- If a user clicks on next page when viewing others’ reviews then on every new page their should be different advertisements from the advertisement booked by admin.
- Site should have contests, reward, gifts, prizes enablement for a) high review, rating, opinion creating users b) to attract new users c) to refer to friends and win prizes
- Enable/disable review, rating, opinion posting by just display name.
- Site should have payment gateway enablement option for online payments for premium members. Major gateway integration Paypal, Authorize.net, 2Checkout, WorldPay, Linkpoint, Internet Secure Source, Paypal Pro, Verisign Payflow Pro, Payment Express, CCauthorize and Nochex. Real time credit card processing integration.
- Option to create unlimited categories->sub categories. Move user reviews from one sub-category to another sub-category. Enable/disable count of reviews in a sub-category
- One click option to take site under maintainence mode
- Language/ localisation option enablement in admin panel. Language should be default for a user as per the registration. The time zone of the website should be as per the registration entry. The date & time format should be as per the country choosen by user during registration.
- Multiple currency enablement/default currency option in admin panel
- Customization of logo through image upload & theme change option should be available. Layout change option from admin panel. Also customization of stars, blocks, icons, fonts, layout etc should also be available.
- Option to change title, meta tags, page titles, page linking, SEO friendly URLs, meta keywords, terms & disclaimers, agreements, from admin panel
- Entire user management from admin panel. Option to disable/delete users, send alerts/emails to users, reports etc
- Database management/maintainance, performance tuning, backup, restore from admin panel
- Setting paid features like extra images, featured reviews, hot/urgent/excellent/ etc icons.
- In review advertisement options (URLs) enable/disable feature. User can entre URL for self promotion through this tool.
- Reviews, opinions, feedback posting after admin approval. Option to enable automatic approval and to disable automatic approval. Automatic bad word highlight in admin panel in case of manual approval of reviews, opinions, feedbacks. Automatic bad word filter in case of automatic approval.
- IP banning, spam filters, security images, bad word filters
- Option to enable/disable reviews, ratings, opinions, feedback through SMS. Site to display only last 4 digits of mobile no.
- Site should have RSS feeds options along with a news section
- Entire CMS in WYSIWYG editor with all rich text options through admin panel
- Dyanmic/custom fields for ratings for each sub-category. For example for automobile the rating field should show ratings on Cost, Performance, Economy, Handling, etc like wise for music sub-categories the ratings fields should be Genre, Music Type, Band Reputation, etc
- Admin should have an option to show enter/ create products in top 10 products and top 10 services which can be viewed by users. The respective companies have to pay for this service. Also option to enable/disable this feature.
- Google adsense & other advertising providers enablement/disable option
- Admin can add surveys, polls, newsletters, articles, etc to the website. Option to Enable/disable these features

- Option to copy categories -> sub-categories to new category->sub-category for faster creation of categories->sub-categories
- Option to change email templates, notifications mail templates, registration mail templates, etc from admin panel.

- Fee charging types – flat fees, time base fees, website location based fees, category specific, user group specific charging, unlimited price plans, discount codes, taxes option, credit listings (free), etc membership options like monthly, yearly, etc option from admin panel along with renewal options
- Custom registration fields, custom search fields/forms, etc

Other requirements

- Full source code required. All source code needs to be open and not encrypted.
- Installation script required for automated installation including mysql database/tables
- Site should be light and fast. Performance is key factor for the website along with features/functionalities
- All features should be module based. In case required modules can be removed/added into the application by the owner of application
- Free support (in case required) for 3 months from the date website go live
- Most of the activities should be AJAX based wherein user does not have to leave the page on which he is. Like rating the service or product. That should be done without leaving the page.
