Business Intelligence App

November 10th, 2009 Comments off

I have a SQL database that is the engine for a eBay listing tool. Teh reporting provided they Application i use is horriable at best.

I need and Application that will allow me to find some key metrics on the products i sell.

I need To know the percentage of times an item sells compared to the number of times it is listed.

I need to be able to do a Profit loss Per item.

With both of these sets of data i need to be able to select target numbers.

For instance with the Percentage sold i need to be able to select item that only sell 30% of the time. i need that 30% to be a user supplied variable. and report all items that fall below that thersehold. If less than 30% print to report. IF more than 30% ignore.
To find % sold for example would be number of times listed divided by the number that sold. If listed 10 times and 7 time it sold would be 70% and would be ignored by 30% query. But if only sold 2 times would show up on report.

For profit and loss i need report to take total cost (ebay fees, paypal fees, and item cost) for all items sold and unsold and calculate % made or lost based on item cost. For example item is listed 10 times each listing cost $1 and there is .60 fee for items that sell. item sold 7 times so for ebay fees we have (1*10)+(7*.6)+(paypal fees on sold item)+(cost of item * Number sold)+(shipping cost per item)=total cost to sell items then we take the monies collected for the 7 items subtract out the total cost to get profit or loss and then calculate the average profit or loss per sale of said item and report it as a percentage based on Item cost.

I would need to be able to have report show me all items that are under a user supplied variable and always show items that are negative. ( if value is greater then (user input) ignore) (if value is less than (user input) print to report) (if value is negative number then print to report)

This will run over a LAN

I have been told that Crystal reports should be able to do what i am asking for and expandable in the future. I perfer a desktop application over a web based application. I have also been pointed at Panthos BI its an open source Platforme that should do what i am looking for alo

Flash Header Customization

September 16th, 2009 Comments off

I need a flash header customized. Here is a preview of it:
http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/18092.html?tab=190

I will purchase the template and supply you with the source files for the Flash.

You will need to fully customize it for use in a website.

Here is a list of the known changes at this time:

Change the burgundy color (left side and lady’s shirt) to exactly match a specific color (PMS 194 Red).

You will need to remove the search box from the top and replace it with a logo. The size of the gray top bar may need to be adjusted to fit the logo properly.

The page names and links on the left will need to be customized and we might need to add more (where the logo was).

The text on the sign will change

The links at the top right might need to change

This header will be used on up to 10 pages. For each page, I want to be able to specify which page is currently being viewed in the embed code.

With this information, I want the flash to display the correctly highlighted page link, and I want to have a different picture for each page.

There are several ways this could be done. My preference is to have a folder of images (1.jpg to 10.jpg) and the corresponding image will be loaded based on the current page.

You could also place all the images inside the flash.

Please specify which method you will use (or a different method).

The image should fly in from the right like the original one does. You will need to format the images to match the style and size of the header. In addition, there should be some text that flys in (maybe from the left) and lands over the image.

There may be other changes which are needed but not specified here. Please plan to do a full customization on this, and we might want to try something one way then another to see what looks the best. Please be prepared to try some different variations until everything is perfect.

I want this to be nice, and all the customizations need to be of a complimentary style to the existing flash work. Transitions and animations should be smooth and well made.

Hopefully we can get this done quickly but in some cases it might take a while to get decisions back from the end client.

I will be happy to escrow the full amount (3 payments of 30%, 30% and 40%). The first 30% will be released upon delivery of the change list above (without the page specific images). The other 30% will be released upon delivery of the version with page specific images. The last 40% will be released upon delivery of the files and final approval by the end client and it might be up to 14 days from the time you finish the majority of the work.

For this project I am requiring a solid feedback history and examples of previous flash work. Please send links to prior work and explain if it is 100% original work or customization to existing work.

Thanks,
Daniel

Design 10 Sites With 24+ Pages

April 18th, 2009 Comments off

This task will consist of 10 separate sites, created one at a time, and each site will be performed in 3 steps. Approval must be obtained for each step before proceeding to the next step.

Site Design
1> Rough Layout in Photoshop
Design the page quickly in Photoshop. This is a rough layout. It does not have to be perfect. These rough layout pages can be html or simply Photoshop images. They are just to get the overall impression of the look and layout of the pages with sample data. This must be done for most pages of the site. All pages must be submitted for design approval. Any changes that are requested will need to be made until final approval is obtained.
2> Convert to full HTML
After rough layout pages are approved, create pages properly in HTML. Code must be clean and tested with a html checker for errors. Pages will use CSS styling. All pages must be submitted for design approval. Any change requested will need to be made until final approval is obtained.
3> Convert to our Template format
Our dynamic web server uses a template format that is our own design. You will need to put the html into our web interface to work with our template structure. As an example, the
