WordPress Navigation Header + Smf/mediawiki

February 9th, 2012 Comments off

Right now, I just need a WordPress Guru (with SMF and MediaWiki chops) to visually integrate my WordPress Header (with functioning Navigation) into the SMF and MediaWiki sections of my website.

I’ve seen this listed before for less than $40, so that’s my budget limit.

I would also like to have a brief Read Me document, noting methods for updating the header on the SMF and MediaWiki side if need be.

PM me for URL and more details.

Iphone Web App To Usa A Wiki

December 12th, 2011 Comments off

Create an iPhone web app to access and take users to a wiki (mediawiki software), as some other iphone web apps do with Wikipedia.

We need it to have a search box of the wiki, to access to it.

The wiki already has an extension that detects mobile devices and gives them an iphone friendly skin.

Suggestions about more functions included on app will help us to choose the programmer.

Mediawiki Programmer Needed

August 7th, 2011 Comments off

We need to create custom extensions in MediaWiki as well as some very limited template modifications. To that end, we’re looking for a developer who is familiar with MediaWiki and how it operates.

All in all, we are looking for someone who can do the following:

1> Create a custom Single Sign On extension that will expand existing sign-on to include Facebook, Twitter, OpenID, etc.

2> Create a second custom extension that will parse level 2 headlines and add specific information into a table.

3> Modify two template pages to suit our needs. No design is required.

4> Output specific information from the table into a template.

Full technical information on this project is available, and will be sent once bid is accepted (along with wireframes). This job requires someone who understands MediaWiki.

Desired Skills:
Mediawiki, PHP, HTML

WordPress Mediawiki Site Build

June 14th, 2011 Comments off

I’m looking for someone to help me create a website I have designed that will be powered by WordPress and MediaWiki. Please see the attached PDFs for the design. I already have an existing WordPress and Mediawiki installation, but can start from scratch if necessary.
This website will consist of two components – a blog front page powered by WordPress and article pages on MediaWiki. Users will need to be able to click on the headlines in WordPress posts and be sent to a Mediawiki article.
Other features I would like:
A top bar that is consistent across both the wiki and blog that has pictures and links to 4-5 selectted articles.
Search of the mediawiki
Google adsense integration
Sticky posts on WordPress
Permalinks to blog posts
Infinite scroll on the blog
Push notifications for new updates
Mediawiki Facebook login
Mediawiki comments through Disqus
Share tools on Mediawiki and WordPress
A list of the most recent WordPress updates displayed in the sidebar of the Mediawiki

Mediawiki

May 18th, 2011 Comments off

Need install of MediaWiki + several extensions (see below). All the extensions can be obtained from subversion/direct download. Should only take a few if already familiar with MediaWiki / extensions.

Several lines of code might need a few lines configured properly to run, believe they are php but haven’t look at it yet.

Extensions to install:

-SimpleFeed extension
-FlashMP3 extension
-VideoFlash extension
-CKEditor (formerly FCK Editor, whichever version more recent)

Understanding of Mediawiki and extensions. All versions must be most recent, they are all obtainable through download/subversion, otherwise I can send all contents compressed, FTP or can install the files on host along with /extensions.

WordPress Wiki Section

May 9th, 2011 Comments off

I have an existing WordPress blog that is working well.

I need to create a “Wiki” section on the site, where users can share information and files, with “MediaWiki”.

Also, as an extra….if possible, I’d like you to create the wiki pages by copying content from an existing wiki.

- If you can do this for me, please bid.
- If you do not know what a “Wiki” is, please do NOT bid.

Thanks.

Customized Article Creation Form For Mediawiki

April 26th, 2011 Comments off

I have a single-purpose Mediawiki deployment, where people will enter just one kind of article. I would like to engage someone to help build a more intuitive user experience for article creations, that does not require one to be experienced with Mediawiki in order to use.

Some expectations:

Would like a be a simple, single web-page or a wizard-like multi-page experience used to collect data from the user, and well as allow them to upload images and embed them in the article.

SemanticForms are installed now, and is functional, but hardly intuitive. I am open to dropping SMW.

Uploaded images should be shown as either as a “Featured Image” and/or as part of a Mediawiki “gallery”.

The “New Post” interface used on WordPress is really something I am looking for.

I need to design and program a project which very similar to wikipedia. You’ll find specification and mockups in the attached archive.

You may use any ready-to-use scripts (like MediaWiki) to cut effors, time and cost.

Please provide your portfolio, experience summary and approximate developing plan.
