I have an Excel file that I need cleaned up with a script or macro. There are 22,000 rows so I don’t have time for a manual project.

I’ve attached a sample that shows the issues:

I am looking for a skilled excel vba macro programmer.
Its a very simple task of transfering matching data and just creating some calculations on that data. There are a few sheets in the workbook, but its the same data as such and same calculations.
So you will need to transfer the data from one sheet depending if it matched the name and date from the row in another sheet in that workbook and then perform calculations.
This is a small project and budget, but the selected programmer has the opportunity to work more on other projects on this workbook.

I have a set of Word documents that I need to remove some data from. The Word documents are the questions and answers to a survey that people had to fill out. The job of the macro is to take out the names and other information which would identify who filled in the survey.

Here are examples of what it must do …

1. One question in the survey is “What is your first name?”. Next to it is what the person wrote e.g. “Catherine”. The macro must find the word “Catherine” and then replace the word “Catherine” everywhere in the document by the text [FIRST NAME].

2. Another question is formatted as a table with 1 row and 3 columns. The first column has the word “Nominator”. The other two columns have some more text as well as the answers. All the text in the other two columns of this table must simply be deleted.

3. I want to find all the words that might be people’s names in the document. So the macro must output all the words that the person wrote in the survey which start with a capital letter (but are not from a list of common words like London”). I can then choose which of these words I want the macro to find and what I want to replace them by. So for example, there might be the text “Script Lance” and I want to replace it with the text “[BUSINESS NAME]“. This doesn’t need to be a sophisticated interface.

I need a programmer to write a simple word macro that will highlight stop words (all the words listed in the attached spreadsheet) as I am typing an article. I have 2 spreadsheets:

A : 1st spreadsheet with 2 worksheets:
A1) Worksheet containing fixed company address data (company name, address, VAT number)
A2) Worksheet with empty invoice template

If there is a filename in Column A then the images needs to display in Column K, the size of the images needs to set within the code. If there is no name in Column A then no images is to loaded into the Excel Spreadsheet.

This is a Macro to help us save time when doing a weekly schedule. Basically, all it needs to do is: when a scheduler enters the hours worked for a day (From-To), and then chooses the Attendant’s Name (must be a drop down list), those 3 cells (From, To and Attendant) will be painted into a color that will be unique that that Attendant
Name. And then it should calculate the total hours scheduled for the week for this attendant, into the table on the side. This will all make sense once you take a look at the attached excel file. The Attendant Names should come from a drop down list, which should be easy to edit, add and delete the names from… something similar to what I show in the file… very straight forward… In the example I highlight only few names, but the Macro needs to have a unique color for each name…

I require a vba macro that opens up a new xls spreadsheet for each instance the macro is run and runs a set of rules off an open xls spreadsheet and puts the resulting data into the new spreadsheet.
You will be required to know how to count font colours and cell colours. As well as implementing the set of rules I give you. Many are simple rules for example finding a cell with

The application will read a list of web page URLs from a file, go through each row by row, check that they contain a specified link within that web page, get rss feeds from them by means of the Feedage website (needs captcha bypass, for which I have an account at the two main services), then process these into a smaller number of rss feeds from the bulkping.com site, submit these to rss aggregators, put these into a ping site to ping them. The application stops after x number of Feedage feeds have been processed, x being the number input by the user at the start.

The application or utility will emulate a human worker, but it will be much quicker and without the boredom!

This project is in 3 stages which I have divided into 3 milestones for the sake of clarity.

Milestone 1

The user will input a file to the software.

Input file contains a list of web page address URLs in column A. The software will read the input file and check whether or not a link exists on that page (which is given in each case in column B). If the link is present the software writes ‘Found’ in column C. If the link is not found the software writes ‘Not Found’ in columns C.

The application will use a timer which pauses for a random number of seconds between each row.

The software will continue until there is no more data in column A.

The software will be capable of processing up to 4 files at the same time, and will output the completed file with the results.

The software will report on the progress that is being made in each file in real time.

Milestone 2

As above, except that instead of the software writing ‘Found’ and ‘Not Found’ the software will, for all web pages on which links are found, go to the Feedage website and get an RSS feed (entering a capture is necessary for this: I have an account with Decapture and Death by Captcha). The software will write the URL of this feed into column C.

The software will get x number of RSS feeds from Feedage, where x is a number which is input by the user when the file is input, prior to the running of the process.

If there is nothing in column B then the utility should get the RSS feed for the web page in column A anyway.

Milestone 3

As above, and additionally, every 20 Feedage feeds will be put into http://www.bulkping.com/rss-feed-generator-creator/index.php and turned into a Bulkping feed; this shall be written in column D.

This feed is then submitted to the RSS aggregator by using 950buy.com (all inputs in that process will be supplied on the input file).

This process will continue until the number of Feedage feeds is equal to x. If there are any Feedage feeds left over they, too, are put into http://www.bulkping.com/rss-feed-generator-creator/index.php and an additional Bulkping feed derived.

For all web page URLs for which links are found, all these are collected into a list and put into http://www.bulkping.com/ for mass pinging by that system. The Feedage feeds are also put into http://www.bulkping.com/

Finally, all Bulkping RSS feeds are added together, and the website feed’s own RSS feed (if supplied) and put into http://www.bulkping.com/rss-feed-generator-creator/index.php to produce a ‘master Bulkping RSS feed’. This is written in Column E at the foot of the file.

The Bulkping RSS feeds and the master Bulkping RSS feed is also put into http://www.bulkping.com/ for pinging.

The process will stop.

I wish to be able to extract greyhound data from the racingpost website to an excel worksheet on a daily basis.
This is an example of the starting page:

It is expected that up to 15 rows of the detailed information on each greyhound found under their names is used to replace the 5 rows under their name on the above page. An example of detailed information is:

Thereafter, the macro will copy relevant information to another sheet where it will then apply formula (I have these in an excel sheet already) to analyse the relevant information.
So it will be a macro which copies the information to excel for all races for that day and analyse and produce one page of report and a saved file for that date to a specified location.
This site is done in AJAX and JAVA so there may be need to provide for the running of the scripts to get some info.
I have two macros you can study to provide some inspiration in the attached document. These are not my exact need but they will hopefully inspire something in the right minds.

I need an excel macro that can do the following:

Input:
The macro should evaluate a two-column table with columns labeled “Word” and “Frequency”. The “Word” column will have a word value like “dog” and a frequency number like “5″.

Output:
For each word,frequency row in the macro, the macro should output a line of text printing the word the same number of times as the frequency.
So for an Input row with word as “dog” and frequency as “5″, the output would be:
dog, dog, dog, dog, dog;

The output must be in the same excel spreadsheet as the Input table. It must include the comma punctuation and the semi-colon at the end of each line.
