This project is to build an applet similar to Facebook’s “Find my Mac Address Book Contacts” function under Friend Finder -> Other Tools.

The applet will run a shell script on the user’s machine and return some data, from that data the script will parse it and send it back to the site. After the applet retrieves the parsed data, it will submit that data to an API and display some results to the user.

For an specific project I’m currently working on, I need a software that does the following:

Watches the clipboard and automatically stores every image that I add to it. It must display a preview for each image.

2)
Allows me to a) sort those images by creation date, both in ascending and descending order, and b) custom order the list of images, by dragging and dropping them, c) delete any particular image that I want.

3)
Create JPG files from the images copied to the application, with an specific name obtained from a textarea. For example, if the textarea contains this information:

Create a program for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux which allows any .swf file (AS1, AS2, or AS3) to be protected using the following methods;
1) Control flow obfuscation
2) Dynamic code wrapping
3) Statement level randomization
4) String Encryption

The success of the project would be based on the successful implementation of all the methods outlined above to achieve the result of causing main/known SWF decompilers to break.

Don’t really have time to finish learning to configure the Mikrotik (RB750G, v5.4); got the basics done but really want to do more. To someone who knows how to, will take probably 30 minutes or less.
So, my specs:

graphing of Wan port traffic – done

to do:
- a couple of custom incoming port forwards
- maybe define some special ports as services for better handling (Apple Remote Desktop Admin)
- firewall setup to deny outgoing to port 25 except for few authorized static Lan addresses
- bouncing of Lan connections outbound to our own Wan address, to appropriate Lan address (as if they’ve come from the outside)
- setting up L2TP vpn server
- modifying UPnP so that only works for ports >50000

some traffic shaping to be done:
- outbound ack packet prioritization
- priority to some lan (static) IP addresses
- priority to some ports (mail services, vnc)
- skype prioritization (yeah I know it can’t be done, I put it here just in case)
- lowest priority to P2P

also: setting up traffic accounting or flow or whatever is used to see who’s eating up the bandwidth (I know this has to work with an external program, tell me which, better if MacOSX compatible).

how will the work be done:
I will supply full specs (basically as stated above, just with the added data of IPs, ports, etc.)
I can give you a VNC connection to a Mac OSX from where the router is visible via browser (webmin) (which in v5.4 is as good as winbox); or you can direct me how to open the Winbox ports so you connect from the outside.

Gallery Backend Development

Overview:
We are putting together a Portfolio Management System and need someone to help develop a jQuery based image gallery backend. Some of the parameters or settings for the gallery or gallery images will come from a MySQL table. The use of Flash is strongly discouraged. The gallery “frontend” we are using is Gallerific. We are using an implementation very similar to the “Thumbnail rollover effects and slideshow crossfades” on the Gallerific website. (http://www.twospy.com/galleriffic/example-2.html)

The MySQL tables have not been put together yet. The chosen developer will have the option of building them them-self’s or working with me to build them.

1) No ajax save calls. Must use a “Save” button.

2) Dashboard
The end user must be presented with a screen indicating how many galleries they currently have and how many images are in each gallery. The number of galleries and the number of images per gallery is subject to change. This info is stored in a MySQL table.

3) Allow end user to set each images’s title and description

4) Allow for multiple galleries
The system must allow the end user to create and manage multiple galleries. The number of galleries and images per gallery is set in a MySQL table.

5) Password protected galleries
The end user must be able to set passwords for any of their galleries. Some gallery content might be private therefore the end user must be able to set a password so the gallery can be viewed by others the end user chooses to share the password with.

6) Gallery Thumbnails
The end user must be able to mark one of the thumbnails in each gallery to help identify that gallery from the list of that users galleries.

7) Image Flagging
End user must be able to flag photos intended for mature audiences only.

Upload images
Would like to see some neat ajaxy type upload. Would really prefer not to use Flash.

9) Delete images
End user must have a way of removing a thumbnail and all the images that go with that thumbnail.

10) Automatically scale the uploaded images
Some end users will upload extremely large digital camera images. These need to be scaled down to any number of sizes determined in the MySQL table. The original can be deleted.

11) Crop images into thumbnails
The end user must have the option to be able to crop images to make thumbnails similar to http://www.webmotionuk.co.uk/jquery/image_upload_crop.php

12) Sorting of thumbnails
The end user must be able to change the order of the images by dragging the thumbnails.

13) Sorting of galleries
The end user must be able to change the order of the galleries by dragging the thumbnails.

14) Image transfer to a different gallery
End user must have a way (other than re-uploading) of moving an image to a different gallery.

15) Error checking/handling/validation
Your software must use validation to help minimize error input. Your software must employ client side and server side validation.

16) Compatibility
Your software must be compatible with IE 7 and greater, Safari 4 and greater, Firefox 3 and greater, Chrome 5 and greater on both Windows and Mac OS X.

17) Security

I need a program written to run on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. All source code must be included in the completed project.

The user interface for the product is to be written using the Cocoa framework. Objective-C is the preferred language, but Python, Java, or other Cocoa capable languages may be acceptable if you can make a good case for it.

Any third-party shared libraries that need to be used must be open source, and I need to know about them as soon as possible.

This product must be able to do the following:
1) Play an Matroska (MKV) video file. There needs to be the standard controls: Play, Pause, Stop, Fast Forward, Fast Reverse, and a progress bar with a player head that can be used to take the move to particular spot. There should also be a display of the player head’s current time code.
2) It must be able to read the Chapter file (if one exists) contained in the MKV file. There should be buttons to allow skipping ahead and back between chapters.
3) Somewhere on the UI, the chapter title and time code start of the chapter (separate from the time code above) should be displayed.
4) For the current chapter, there should be a way to edit its start time code.
5) There should be a way to delete the capter
6) There should be a way to insert a new chapter and give it a title.

Except for the chapters, this is strictly a player. No video or audio editing is required.

I’m a freelance translator and need a simple but good job tracking tool. I also need to invoice straight from the job tracking spreadsheet.

Things I need:
- track jobs that come in
- choose job type from drop-down menu
- choose client from drop-down menu
- choose contact person from drop-down menu dependent on client menu
- see when job is due (ideally able to show this on a calendar somehow!)
- conditional formatting showing me when jobs are due soon or overdue
- create invoice from job data + client data (name, address) – possibly using list boxes or combo boxes?
- list date + amount paid for invoice
- be able to create reports from data (e.g. how many invoices overdue, how much $ made in month x, etc.)

Things I’d like to have (not necessary, but would be great)
Calendar integration:
- I want to be able to see the name of each job on my calendar on the date that it’s due (ical or google calendar)
- I also want to be able to estimate the number of hours for each job, and have excel calculate which jobs I can fit into one day!

Integration with Mac address book:
- If I put a client name in (e.g.) cell A2, say ‘John Smith’, I want Excel to get information from the Mac application ‘Address Book’ to populate the Address Field, Postcode etc.
- This means I don’t have to enter it manually.
- The next step would be to make an invoice from this client information.

My operating system: Mac OSX 10.6.7

It doesn’t need to be very big – I might be wrong, but I estimate someone with a lot of excel programming experience would only need a couple of hours.
