We need to setup a component for joomla that grant access to a single user/client at his frontend reserved page.
It should work in this way:
Client A login into frontend joomla site and is redirected to Client A reserved page, where he can read and download content. He can’t access other clients reserved page.
Client B login into frontend joomla site and is redirected to Client B reserved page, where he can read and download content. He can’t access other clients reserved page.
…
Of course, site has other public content, accessible for all (user and not).
Reserved content must be not available for internal search (of course).
All the reserved contents will be managed by Admin only.

We don’t want to hack any core files. Component/plugin must have an xml language file so we can translate it (in italian). We need it as a install zip file so we can install it on other site if client change domain/provider/server.

I like crisp, clean designs. Won’t mind purchasing a template to start with if necessary. Will need a new logo as well (but I might post a separate project for that, and work with the people I’ve worked with before). **I’ve worked with Joomla, so I can add additional submenus and insert additional content myself. I just might need a quick tutorial if I can’t find something, but doubt it**.

Again, this is the beginning of a much more feature rich site, with an online school on the near horizon. So, if you can do clean, nice work now, you might be selected to help with the additions that will be needed for this more projects in the near future.

PROJECT DETAILS

I have a small and easy project for someone with Joomla experience – we have a Joomla template that we need installing / uploading and for the client to be able to use to update their website – CMS.

In terms of contents the following is the sttucture.

1. Home Page

This project is clean up of a Joomla 1.5 site. The 6 kB template is 100% valid css already but some positioning is left behind and needs to corrected and cleaned from the unnecessary code. The site only has 6 modules or components, these elements and the whole site needs to have a consistent look in IE6 up FF2 up Safari and Chrome. The site have to be tableless (based on Beez is OK) and the index.php JavaScript work minimized and php cleaned up. And there is an unsolved small font change Flash issue. That’s a bonus.

The job is small, there is time (4 days from start) and I am looking for a careful programmer who has experience with Joomla 1.5! + master of these languages above. Hope you have a good command of English (at least as good as mine..)

I have a form on a Joomla site that gets it’s results from a remotely hosted, 3rd party ASP script. I have the search form in a module position on the left hand side of the joomla site and need the results to be displayed in the main content area of the site.

The results are returned from the script in the form of a page, so basically an iframe is needed. I have created an article in joomla that can display the ASP scripts output, but I cannot get the form to send the search to the script, and for the results to be displayed in the main content area. I hope that makes sense!

Joomla menu assignment not working.
When I select for the menu to show on only certain pages this does not work. It will work if I select to show on none or all.

on my front page I do not want any Side menus at all.
I only want the side menus on the sub pages. ( every other page besides Front page index.php?)

I only want a top menu bar on the index page.

I have gone in to Module Manager and changed MAIN MENU to left side and Select Menu Item(s) from the List. I have all highlight besides HOME. FAQ is highlighted. but when I click on the Top menu bar to go to that page the side menus are not showing up.

I’m tired of reading through the forums someone with experience please take care of this light work.

Existing website with Joomla installed. Need to add a video section where videos would be protected. People will need to be given unique username and password to access video section. Site owner will need to be notified by email when video has been viewed. Ideally, we need a way to monitor if the user saw the entire video. There will be several videos in the library and each video views will need to be tracked in the admin area. For each user name, we will need to know what users viewed it, and how much of it they viewed and what date/time they viewed it. If the same user views the video more than once, we will need to see that in the admin area.

You can use a drupal or joomla tempalte I can give you but really the client has made all the pages (or most of them, so the template may not be applicable for this) They made all the pages in as psds. So you won’t really have much design work to do at all. Just chop up their psd designs and put it in. You do have to make the signup page. They forgot to do that.

The company has teamed up with a fax to email company. So they program is there it just needs to be put on the site. Sort of like putting in a plug in.
