We have a website hosted on IIS and we have recently changed the password for one of the databases which the website connects to. Having amended the web.config file with the new password and restarted IIS the website seems to be unavailable at the moment.

Since upgrading our Windows server, the PHP nuSoap code no longer works. Please note that everything used to work fine. We have upgraded to PHP 5.3.6. We are willing to no longer use nuSoap and just go with the SOAP provided in PHP 5.

I urgently need some expert of Windows Server that search the cause of why ASP .NET site don’t send mail and fix it.

Before (3day ago) without anychange the server was working very good without problem. Now server can’t send email by form on the site (but can send from smtp) and can’t convert PDF by ASP.

The code is orignally written in dotnet 1.1, but have been migrated to dotnet 3.5 previously. The solution consists of the following.

1) A C# based tcp/ip servcer service, based on Genuine Channels and MSSQL.
2) A C# based tcp/ip winforms client, based on Genuine Channels and Truevision 3D engine.
3) A ASP.NET based administration website using MSSQL.
4) A Setup Factory 7 installation for the client.
5) A Joomla / Mambo (php) based website with a download link for the client.

The work needed are as following:

1) Setup subversion on the new server.
2) Move the code from the old server. You need to locate the svn on the old server yourself.
3) Setup Bamboo on the new server. Licenses will be provided.
4) Upgrade the solution from dotnet 3.5 to 4.0 (visual studio 2010).
5) Change the current server solution from using a 3rd party service wrapper to be an actual windows service.
6) Replace all System.Console.WriteLine to Log4net on the service.
7) Rewrite the current deployment to a msbuild based deployment script.
Configure Bamboo for continous integration so that the service can be deployed, the client build (command line to setup factory) and copied to the Joomla / Mambo based and the ASP.NET website deployed. It should also undeploy any previous version first.

We have live h.264/aac stream that needs to be streamed via IIS 7 Live Smooth Streaming extension. The stream is generated by a VLC client and must be reformatted for the Smooth Streaming extension. According to our knowledge this can be done by the IIS Smooth Streaming Format SDK.

Setup:
- Encoding server with a VLC client that transcodes a live broadcast stream into h.264/aac or any other format that is required
- IIS 7 Windows 2008R2 server that can pull the live stream from the encoding server

I am looking to create a Windows Service Schedule for comparing Oracle – Peoplesoft Database records and if a specific value is found against a record then it is compared with Active Directory records. If the values match then the AD account should be disabled.

Example: Compare records with Oracle Peoplesoft Database and with Active Directory 2008

Employee Status – INACTIVE

Compare with Active Directory 2008 records:

Employee code: SD9282
AD account Status – ACTIVE

Action to be take – Disable AD account and move to Disabled Organizational Unit of Active Directory.

If records are active & active then no action to be taken.

Notice when you navigate the second website you’ll run into errors like [an error occurred while processing this directive].

Hopefully it is an easy fix, we just aren’t sure what it is.

We can provide FTP for the new website on godaddy. Everything was simply copied over from the other hosting in a zip file and extracted.

We would like to develop a web site on a MS IIs 7 2008 Standard platform with MS SQL 2008 R2 or Free BSD platform with MySQL. The website is extensive. We need applications to:
Connect to social media; Facebook, linked in, twitter.

3 should-be-easy code fixes to a single .htaccess file:

Need these 3 items fixed or added to my .htaccess. On receipt and verification of code fixes, will release funds in full:

1) IP BLOCKS (“deny from…”) code is not working. I have the code already except not being recognized for some reason. Am new to .htaccess.

2) Fix / add snippet to DROP (not require) the “.htm” and “.html” EXTENSIONS on all files (I have provided some suggestions I found online–you can totally replace them if you want).

Misc considerations
–One of our .html is the home page, coded as index.html so obviously need to be careful etc.

–We don’t want a solution that requires that we change all of our links within every page to “absolute” links. For example, if a link shows as “/page1.html” in the source now, we don’t want to have to change that code to “http://www.domain.com/page1.html”. I’m sure this will be easy or moot point.

I have an ASP.NET (VB.NET) application that is working fine in a subdomain (testing) in our website, but when transfering the files to the main domain (live site), it produced application errors randomly. The same errors occured also in the subdomain but its frequency reduced after using the app for sometime.

I have a website that is now live and running, but I need to modify few features on it and add some more. The website code is written in ASP.NET (VB) and it is utilizing a MS SQL server for the database.

The programmer will have to work on a local copy as we have to test the code before applying it to the live website.

The changes needed are minimal such as:

- Adding edit feature to user’s submitted comments so we can edit them and remove any prohibited content before making them available to the public.

- Add “Folders” select box to the current form, and a page to show items based on the folder selection.

- Fix a contact us form that is not working properly.

- Fix a poll script that is not working properly.

Also, we will need these new features:

- Upload script in the administration side with grid-view to list all uploaded files.
