I want to setup a small ecommerce website for an online clothing boutique. There would only be 10-15 products to sell. So, after a simple, elegant website in wordpress.
Basically a sister site which is an online store with similar products and contents:

I am typically after an out of a box solution where the programmer takes the template, add wordpress ecommerce plugin and make some minor customization as per our requirement. So, this would be ideal for someone who has done this task for earlier job, so that we can pretty much re-use all the work so that it will be quick and customizations will be effortless. The programmer would need to know that template inside out so that its is quick and easy for him to make the changes.
Detailed Requirement:
1. Need to agree on the template. I would expect this should be done as part of selecting this project by looking at your portfolio. So, we select the one you have done before so that you can create our clothing store website using it.
2. You can upload the template on my hosting account and site with following included:
a. Add the eCommerce plugin. We are selling clothes we need t specify select sizes, quantity for inventory, colors for each product (standard clothing store stuff).
b. Standard shopping cart. Payment via Credit card, Bank Deposit or Paypal (this optional). Basically, standard payment method you have used before. So, you know how it works. Also, need to be able to refund money back.
c. Logo design and upload to the site. We have rough picture of logo (.psd) we want. So should be matter of changing the colors to fit the template. You need to send the updated .psd file back as well so we can use to create cards, etc.
d. Simply contact us form via a plugin.
3. I’ll then add the pages of the products we need. We will with real correct data.
4. You need to do graphical customization. This will involve following:
a. Maybe photoshoping (adding cool background) to the images that will go in the front page. This I guess depends on the template. Might not be required.
b. Updating fonts, etc. so that the website looks good.
5. Following are the customizations:
a. On the homepage we need a newsletter subscription box where people can subscribe to our mailing list. I am assuming this again is standard wordpress plugin.However, we need a small banner just above or part of the box to say stuff like:
“Subscribe below to get latest info” or “Subscribe to enter competition”, etc. I guess you get the idea.
b. We need a small banner somewhere in the homepage with our advertisement which would should easily be able to create n change from time to time. Eg. Free Shipping for limited time, New Summer Collection Arrive, etc.
c. We should be able to setup Discount codes for individual products or entire website (eg. Code 2sdsds will give 20% for certain product or WCSDF for 10% entire website)
d. (optional) if it is feature of template where users can add comments for products they have purchased.
e. This is a main non standard customization: We offering a new service on the website for a short period of time (few months) where people opt for “Personal Delivery” which basically works as follows:
* They buy an item online the site worth $30 and opt for “Personal Delivery”. In this case they will only be charged a flat “Service Fee” of $5.
So, pretty basic eCommerce website. Nothing fancy.
We have a fairly small budget as it should be fairly straight forward with someone with experience in similar task before. I am thinking around $200-$400. Payment would be done via escrow spread across deliverable.
