Hi, I sometimes buy some hardlinks for my sites and I want to be able to check if they are still online (if seller does not cheat by removing them).
!!! Please take a look at attached jpg to see what checker I want before continuing reading. I wrote a lot but it just explains things in detail, but basicly everything is self explanatory when you see my sketched JPG!
I used this one free checker: http://www.scrapebox.com/free-link-checker
But I did not like how it was setup (you have to enter your site and then all the sites that should link to your site, however I have more than one site and I want to enter each link pair by hand).
So I sketched the setup I want – see attached jpg file.
How it works is simple:
There are link pairs and first link is the one that should have a backlink and second link is my site. Next to it is field I called INFO – there is where I will enter link pair details, for example I will enter “I bought this link from Peter, his phone number is 235444″.
When I click “add link” button I have to add sellers link, my link and that info field (so that I would know who sold me the link if link is dropped or whatever).
After all links are added I simply click “check all” button and it should check all links. Results are 4 types:
OK (if link is ok)
404 (if sellers site is down on 404 error)
no follow (if seller cheated and added nofollow)
- (if link is gone)
At the right side you see X marks – that is buttons to delete individual link pairs. If I bought a link for 6 months than obviously I wooul like to delete that link pair after 6 months..
Most important – link checker should have all link pairs saved (not that I should add all link pairs manually every time I open application). Meaning if I added 15 link pairs today and open application tomorrow all those 15 should be there. Then I add one more and there are 16 of them. Next day I open – all 16 are there.
And of course this scraper should read subdomains correctly. If site is myblog.blogger.com it should look for the link on that subdomain, not on blogger.com main site (I see scrapers with this mistake).
And of course it should not get lost between URL’s with www and without www. Meaning if the site is http://sitename.com and I eneter http://www.sitename.com it should treat it as the same site obviously.

Frequently, they report problems with connectivity, when I troubleshoot I find they are not actually connected to the internet. I am looking for a small application that can run in Windows sidebar, or on the desktop that basically shows a red/yello/green light method of determining internet connection. I can put a couple sites in a field, or in a text file, the program can measure ping times and light up the appropriate light, so if the sales rep sees red, he is not connected, if he sees yellow, he might have a very slow or unstable connection, and if he sees green he has a ‘good to work’ connection.

No, I don’t want a real squirrel… I want a squirrel that I can install on my Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP desktop and laptop computers.
The squirrel should be cartoon-ish, but should definitely resemble a real squirrel as well.
The squirrel should be fully animated (walking around, eating nuts/acorns, falling asleep on the top of windows or on the start bar, occasionally following the mouse pointer around the screen, and anything else awesome that you can think of for my pet squirrel to do).
My squirrel should have a very small tree that sits on my screen (should be movable to anywhere on the screen) which will be the “home” for my squirrel. The squirrel will also sleep on top of the tree, and will hoard nuts, if I give him too many at once.
Oh, yes, that’s right – I can give my squirrel food, water, or pet him/her. He/she reacts accordingly (eating the first 5 nuts, then beginning to hoard them in the tree, or drinking the water, or purring when I pet him/her).
Essentially, I just want my pet squirrel to be happy. My pet squirrel should have an autoinstaller, and should be distributed as a .EXE file. I should be given the option upon installing to make my squirrel appear on boot.
All controls should be placed in a start-bar toolbar menu (with a small squirrel icon) which, when clicked on, displays the menu of everything I can do with my squirrel.

I need a simple desktop application that will be run off a usb drive that creates animated gifs. Since it will be ran from a usb drive, please include the approximate size of the entire application(500MB, 1GB, etc.)
The end user will enter the size of the graphic, (like 250 x 300 pixels for example), then the outline would appear in that shape/size.
Then they would click inside of the box and type the text they’d like to see for the first frame and drag it to the location within the box they want it to be. Then, they would click on the font style and color they want as well as how long they want that frame to appear before the next frame is displayed.
Alternatively, they should be able to import an image to the box and drag it to where they’d like it displayed.
They would repeat this process until they’re happy with the number of frames and content. Then they would click a button to ‘generate’ the animated gif. (The file should be saved to their desktop by default).
I will provide complete graphics for the layout of the design. I will need full rights to the software when completed.

Don’t need the configuration tab (see pic at the url above), just a tab for youtube with the ability to search and play youtube videos and have them displayed exactly as shown in the screenshot above. Also want a tab to play dvds from my pc from the same screen. So, just YouTube tab and DVD tab. The dvd tab will have standard controls: play, ff, rw, stop, pause, menu, eject.
This will be a frame that allows me to have my youtube video searcher / player bar and also browse the internet (any pages / sites w/out breaking the frame) in my browser as I watch videos. Whatever way you see fit / works best w/ your imagination.
