Docman Install And Setup

Following the move of a JOOMLA domain from a .ORG to a .COM, a DOCMAN V.1.6.3 has stopped working on a version JOOMLA V.2.5
I cannot seem to uninstall to create a fresh install. The extension appears to be installed but the ability to create a DOCMAN menu type does not display when attempting to add such a menu.
Perhaps, there is someone who has familiarity with DOCMAN for JOOMLA and can help get this extension operating correctly in a JOOMLA 2.5 installation.
