This is the logo for a small business start-up based out of NYC: Smith & Stone, an upscale NYC private tutoring company for standardized tests (SAT, ACT etc.). The aesthetic of the company is clean, minimal, and classic (an aesthetic similar to high British fashion but tutoring (see DSDundee.com for inspiration)). I want the logo to simply be the name of the company, no frills, but with an appropriate font. Ideally I’d like the logo to be “Smith&Stone” using the “&” symbol with less-than-standard spacing between the symbol and the adjoining words. As far as coloring, I am looking for a deep matte charcoal, something almost black, but just a little off. Also potentially interested in some sort of SS-seal I can put on business cards, letterhead etc.

I need a script (with a Control Panel), Windows based (you propose the coding language) to do 3 major things:
1. build and update a database
2. data-mine Amazon (run all the time or on a schedule – to be determined)
3. create reports

1. The script will help me build and later update my own database based on 50K+ items inputs (CSV and/or XLS files) from 2 separate suppliers (assume different file formats). The inputs from suppliers change everyday (quantities, pricing), but not their format.

2. The script should then take the UPC codes from this database and search/mine Amazon for some specific information (ASIN, price, salesrank, etc).
829610880075 is a random UPC example – type it on Amazon search bar and you’ll see a specific item (ASIN) assigned to it.

3. The script should export reports on a set schedule that I would access directly and/or email them for later review. Note: I like using Excel!

Summary and more details:

The final purpose of the script is to help me decide if/when to buy new items or replenish my inventory based on a few criteria like:
a) quantity for an item in my inventory
b) price difference between supplier’s and the prices found on Amazon
c) others

Sometimes, the script will find 2 or more items associated to an UPC or the csv file is missing the UPC code for an item. The script should not stop there, but I should be flagged by the script to edit those items manually.

A formula for calculating the maximum price that should trigger me to buy an item will be supplied after the project will be started.

The Control Panel of the script should allow me to enter and change a few parameters like how often to create reports or other variables.

I need the database flexible enough if I’ll keep adding more suppliers and items in the future.

I need assurance that the script will be coded such that will work after Feb 2012, when Amazon’s API will be upgraded/changed again.

Hi, I have had a plugin built and there are a couple of functions that are not operating properly.

One function of the plugin is that it automatically creates 9 pages however its also adding them to the menu and I need this to be fixed keeping the pages hidden in any menus.

Several operators need their own login to the website to create and edit their offers, once a customer has picked a booking, the system needs to generate some emails and a payment link for the operator to pay a fee. Once the payment to us is confirmed by DPS, the system generates a mail containing the customers details to the operator. Website needs to be optimised for SE. We would like to see the page within the first 10 results for certain keywords, especially for NZ and Australia – you can suggest other means to promote the page as well.

The desired process flow for a booking

Operator logs in and creates an entry in his planner
Entry appears on Main Page
Customer views the entries, checks the details and decides to book
Customer fill in his details and <Send> mail
System generates mail to Operator with notice of Customer interest and payment link, then deletes the planner entry
System generates mail to Customer with confirmation of the process
Operator uses payment link to pay the predetermined fee, system gets payment confirmed and sends mail to Operator with customers details

Overall the system should run with as less input needed from us as possible.

Things to Do:

2. Moving content to website: about us, faq, contact us — I have these completely written and they need only be input into the new template.
3. Navigation bar for products with drop down lists of sub-categories — the other developer has made this drop down menu but it must be fixed and re-organized.

5. Change images on home page advertisement scroll– I have all stock images purchased and in an e-mail. I also have the text that is to go beside them.

We created a wordpress site using a template from Elegantthemes.com and are having trouble with a couple of things.

And the problems we need fixing are listed below:

First of all we need to fix the super slow load time in IE 8 & 9….the website takes forever to load in just this browser. It seems there is a script error that needs to be fixed.

Also, when you mouse over any of the buttons like “view listings” or “complete NDA” or “read more” the hand does not appear….making it confusing on if you can click or not. (only in IE)

The “browse listing” side widget’s format seems to change at times depending on where you are at on the site (only in IE)

Then on all the pages the picture formatting does not appear (the text wrap does not work)….compare one of the pages in IE to Firefox and you will see what I mean.

We would also like to remove feature that allow you to zoom in on the listings….we would prefer it to just go directly to the view listing page.

I have created a Joomla Website and installed all the necessary extensions and plugins. Basically you need to modify and customize the functionality of two Joomla extension I have already installed . Lot’s of the configuration can be done within the extensions itself but we also need to create some functionality.
The two extensions are:

The goal of the project is when we upload the documents through DOCMAN, the PDF INDEXER should index all the PDF Content in a database, which should be searchable.
Requirment:
- When you upload a PDF file, all the content of the PDF has to be indexed in a database, which should be searchable (there’s already a PDF indexer component installed, you can use that to index the PDF content)
- Search Box: when we search using the DOCMan’s search box, it should search all the PDF content and display all the PDF files that matches the search. We should also make sure that the permission will restrict the search. For example if I’m logged in as a Group A user then when I search for a PDF document, it should only show the PDF that’s allowed for Group A.
- DOCMAN’s Permission: We may need to change some functionality in the way permission works
- You also need to make some changes on the Website design according to the design I provide, but we’ll do the design changes at the end once everything is done.
- Beside this requirement, some other small functionality changes might need as the project starts (around 20%)

Optional Features (which we might need later but not now):
- Ability to view the PDF Online (Optional)
- Allow users to choose notification method of new docs (Optional)
- Allow user to change their Login Password (Optional)

So, once we are ready to start, the first thing we need to do is work on the PDF indexer. I would like to finish this project as soon as possible.

3) When checking out and paying with bank transfer (bankoverschrijving), in the last step there is a green button that has double text on it. The button has text, but there is also text layered over it. I don’t know how to remove the double text.

4) Index page: there is a grey bar which says “AANBEVOLEN PRODUCTEN”. This should be an orange background if possible and the text should be changed, otherwise the bar needs to be removed.

5) Index page products: The ‘view’ and ‘add to shopping cart’ links need to be replaced by images

I have a mobile site script coded in jqtouch and txtsql and strangely after a while (script installs fine at initially), the script breaks as if it’s not connecting to the txtSQL db, though the db content still exist.

I need a programmer to help:

1) Troubleshoot the error
2) Permanently rectify the error
3) Implement the coding changes in order to make the script work
