I have a website with pages links in a menu, some of which require https and some which do not required https. Currently I have a htaccess file to make the whole site https. My menu has:

Page 1 (https)
Page 2 (http)
Page 3 (http)
Page 4 (https)
Page 5 (http)

A user can click from Page 1 to Page 3 or page 5 to Page 2, etc but I do not require https for all pages as clicking from Page 4 to Page 3 would make Page 3 open in https. I am looking for a way to send sequential emails, and also one time ‘announcement’ type emails. Up until now I have been using external autoresponders, but this is becoming cumbersome.

I would like a php mailer (or if you know a better way I am all ears) that would get the subscribers info from my current sql database, with a few modifications, we would probably need to add a ‘messages’ table.

I need to have a ‘throttle’ variable on the mailer, to keep the load lighter on my server. I have one membership site with over 40K members…that would be way too much to try and blast out all at once, so something like an email every 5-6 seconds should be manageable.

Also the ability to send in batches, say 500 at a time. I would then just run this script via cron once an hour. I would like to be able to do this so I can send out the announcement emails as a priority, and jump the queue…in the messages table we would just have a ‘message_type’ and label announcements ’1′ and sequentials ’2′, and then sort by the priority…I hope that makes sense.

I am pretty confident I could do everything up to this point – but rather than have someone come into my hacked-together script it might just be easier for you to start fresh…

Here’s what I don’t know how to do:

I would really like this script to keep track of bounced emails, so that I am not continually trying to send emails to someone who has an invalid email address; something like a 3 strikes and you’re out system that would set the member to ‘un-subscribed’ (which I would just add to my members table).

I assume we would need to create a ‘bounceback’ email address for this purpose…

Once the email was sent it would set the ‘sending’ field to 0, so that it would just skip past all the ones that have been sent…I have a feeling we need to keep track of sent messages to figure out bounced emails – if not it would probably be easier and faster for the script to just delete that entry from the ‘messages’ table after sending.

I currently have a Data feed on my web-site, and I would like a NEW Products Category created that these new items get put into automatically, with the latest products added to the top of the list. This will make it so that my customers can easily see all our new items.

My site has been built with Creloaded software and you should be very familiar with that prior to bidding on this project as well as extensive experience setting up data feeds. You will also be responsible for making sure that the data feed continues to work properly after the project is completed etc.

I have a Facebook app built on code igniter framework using Facebook Graph … I moved it to a new server and am testing some changes to it and am getting some errors that I need help troubleshooting. To start with need about 4 hours of work helping me sort through these problems (i.e. I changed the permissions that were being requested and that started causing some errors).

The idea is allot more complex than this and i have now had official approval of a big UK company to have them placed on my website.

The site is in a way similar to the penny auction websites you see everywhere but with the most unique twist and ensures people that they are not being scammed.

The website should be very professional and unique not some rubbish template modified. The website should have a good admin area which easily allows me to monitor and upload new items to the site. It would also be a benefit if the winner has experience with payment processing and could recommend the best and embed it to the site. I would like the site to run smooth and very attractive and bright. I would also prefer if the winner could create a flash graphical video for the main page demonstrating how the site works, although this is not priority.

There is so much more i want to put as it is more complex than this but an experience designer/programmer should be OK with this.
