Upgrade Wp V 2.9.2 Site To Current Version Of Wp

My client, http://channelyourhigherself.com, has a site that needs to be upgraded from WordPress 2.9.2 to the most current version to stay current and avoid security problems. We need all the plugins to be updated as well.
Requirements and Deliverables:
- You must back up the entire site and all of its files (including database) before making the upgrade
- You must know how to quickly restore the site to its current state if the upgrade goes wrong at any point
- The plugins should also be upgraded to the current versions.
- The public portion of the site must look and function the same after the upgrade occurs; you should be able to fix anything that doesn’t look right or work correctly after the upgrade.
