Help taking existing OsCommerce product page – product_info.php – cleaning it up, enabling a more fluid layout to enable more flexibility in the layout of text, images drop-down attribute selection menus and “Add to Cart” button. Functionality can remain the same since we are happy with the way it works. Page is currently nicely AJAX enabled with Prototype framework, allowing customer selections to be placed in an AJAX shopping cat along with selected product attributes.

We would like the ability to move photographs and text around to create a more graphically pleasing page. This is currently very difficult since the default OsCommerce page is constructed with tables and we created crude, inflexible solutions as a work around.

I have a wordpress site that needs some minor revisions. To do it you will need to edit the php code in the editor in the admin login. You must know how to do that.

1. I need the main template page to have a background color of #b09b6c. But I need my content area to remain white like the reference site above so you will need to simply add a div that keeps the page white but makes the body #b09b6c. This is simple.

2. You will need to edit the Header.php file in the editor to remove the entire div that has the image named _text.png in it. I tried to remove or comment it out and it breaks the page. it looks like this:

Offers automated import

The purpose is to fully automate product offers import from distributors. Further extension of imports with adding new distris should be simple enough.

Import will need to have some mapping capabilities, which should be interfaced in the backoffice of the Magento. ICEcat can provide a categorization advise in most cases, but you have to be compatible with ICEcat category structure, which is multilevel and derived from UNSPSC. The same stands for manufacturers list.

Interface/screens required:
– Map vendors (from distri data into standard vendor)
– Map categories (from distri data into standard category)
– Distri import status screen (import dashboard)

Distri selector module

In case of multiple distributors connected, this module will be needed to resolve ambiguities in product assortment and optimize product coverage in shop.

It will create a best products selection, based on distri selection rules. Rules can sounds like:

Where [SELECTION] could be defined by parameters:
- Manufacturer / Any manufacturer
- Category / Any category

Content import module will import content from ICEcat XML repository. It will put it into a local database, and data will be shown on product details page.

Currently no backoffice interface is supposed for this data management, existing data storage tables should be used as much as possible.

Project Summary:

Similar to the NCAA March Madness bracket, instead of teams this bracket will have people against other people. In their position on the bracket they can have a picture or a short video. People will be able to vote up to 10 times per day (for one person or multiple people). When admin closes the round, the winner of each “match” moves to the next round.

Functionality details:

1. They will have a sign up and login area. The will be a small fee for them to sign up. In their user area they will upload a picture or provide a link to a short YouTube video. They will also put in some personal info (name, age, location, email, phone)
2. They will go into admin review. Once approved by admin, they will be added to the bracket. I will provide an image shortly to show how the bracket will look as well as the order in which people should be placed.
3. From the admin area, we will be able to start the competition. Once the competition is started, new people cannot be added to the bracket, however people can still sign up and be put on standby for the next competition.
4. When the competition starts, people will be able to go to the competition page on our website and view the pictures and videos, then vote for their favorites. They can vote up to 10 times per day, so there will have to be IP recognition built in. Votes will be live, so people can see who is winning each round.
5. Admin will have the ability to close out a round and move the winners to the next round, which we plan to do every week. Basically we will allow signups for a few weeks, then the first round is 1 week. Let’s say we have 64 people sign up for a competition. Since this is a person vs. person competition, in round 2 there will be 32 people, then 16 in round 3, 8 in round 4, 4 people in round 5 and then round 6 is the final round with the last 2 people. Admin will determine how long a round is based on the amount of people. Closing a round will be a manual process by admin only through the application’s back end.

Other things admin can do:

- change a users information
- suspend a participant if foul play is suspected
- place people in different spots on the bracket
- email all signups based on groups (all signups, current participants only, etc)
