As it may seem like many requirements, I just listed what features are needed. This can be done within a week but I don’t have a time limit. This is the third time I have posted this project and I have hired two others who are trying to complete this now. They are however taking far too long as this is fairly urgent and clearly they have not done this work before. I require somebody who actually knows how to do this off the bat and can do the project in 48-72 hours.

I am looking for a reasonably priced solution to taking data from an excel 7 spreadsheet and updating/ streaming it to the web in real time for a set of our users. It could be shown on a webpage or in another spreadsheet – but it is financial data and therefore must update instantaneously (the prices change approx once per second).

I need to be able to restrict and control access to the data as well. I am not a programmer and therefore would require a turnkey solution for this.

I do not want a process that requires the user to refresh or do anything from within their browser. I also do not want to have to save the excel sheet for updates to be reflected and expect the data to be read/pushed immediately there are any changes in the cell contents.

I already have a working version of the map. It is a map of a real estate area, where each box on the map represents a house being sold by the company.

The code in the flash file is set up so that when the user hovers their mouse over a box, the box will turn red if it is available for sale, and it will display a box on the right with details from an xml file. The details include the number of the box (eg 399) and the area of the land represented by the box (eg, 214 square meters)

then look at the existing code, and create similar code for these new boxes so that the rollover function works correctly.

the xml file already exists for the existing boxes (about 300). the xml code for each of the new boxes already exists too. all you have to do with the xml file, is enter the number of the box (eg 142), and its area (eg 252 sq m). And change their status word from “no” to “yes”. There are examples in the xml file for the old boxes that are already done – simply copy and paste them as required, and change the numbers as required.

Full source files for flash and xml will be provided.

It is pretty much copy and paste stuff, with the images being saved and then uploaded.

the webhost seems to have changed a setting on their server, which is now causing my app to show errors.

the webhost looked at my php, and said:

The session.save_handler is currently setup as file (line 82 in
config.inc.php). The session however is handled by database in our
server. It might be the reason why it shows the error message.

they set up a session test file on the server, which says:

Session.save_handler is : memcache

I have put the full error message I see on the web page in a pdf attached to this job. Please see it before bidding.
