Solution Needed For New Cms

Very simple project.
My site is currentley WordPress, I have a new CMS.
I need to have the old WordPress copied to archives.mysite.com
and not loose all the backlink traffic.
A new CMS will be in the root directory. I just don’t want all my wordpress back links from other sites and search engines to be broken.
**** So if some one clicks an old link the will be directed to the archives ****
Once this is done , I will delete the wordpress in the root and replace it with the new CMS
