Extract Data
Hi,
We need to extract some data from websites (none of which is password protected), as follows:
a) Data delivered in .xls files. These data are structured at the website and where each column corresponds to a field from database. The database has two long text fields, wich will have to be extracted to text files related with each record. We’ll give to selected programmer the urls from which data will be extracted. Only the documents that meet at least one of three key words must be retrieved. The .xls files must be delivered grouped by the url from where they originated.
b) Data delivered in document format (for instance, .doc, .mht or readable .pdfs). We’ll give to selected programmer the urls from which data will be extracted. In just one case, you must do first a search by a string and afterwards you should extract all documents meeting that search. The documents must be delivered grouped by the url from where they originated.
In total, we’re ing about extraction from 25 urls (not 25 websites).
Previous experience on these kind of job will be much appreciated.
We’ll escrow bid’s total ammount before project begins.
