Flights Search Engine Site

Hi everybody,
I need a help with connection to airlines database (about 60-80 airlines) via api for my internet site.
As I know, there should be a free access to that database provided by airlines themselves, but I can’t find it.
On top of that, with that database we need to build a site. We had a programmer that started it but couldn’t finish, so some platform is there already.
We also would like to make few additions to the basic flight search engine, but it will be for extra fee after negotiation.
