We are in need of a custom hosting cart that can take a user from domain availability check, to hosting package selection, to additional feature selection, and checkout with various payment options such as 2Checkout, and Direct Deposit to Bank Account.

This cart should have a back end where all user details are stored for account management purposes, with email newsletter and support services. Users should be able to log into their online account for package upgrades and additional applications at any time. This backend should also have the facility to add/edit/delete all features of the service packages such as domain extensions, hosting packages, services, mail groups, etc. Physical accounting will be done off-site with an accounting system. The cart should have a coupon system of offering discounts based on coupons.

There should be “remember me” feature for client/user login with a “Forgot Password” feature to email the user/password to a registered email address.

There should be email notifications of the transaction to both the user and the administrator with full details still available through the web interface and back end.

A good example is the Godaddy website cart system and the Host Gator cart system and the look-and-feel is to be in line with our existing website.

I have a current website that has both .htm, asp and dynamic asp url’s; changing software to php based application but the new app uses mod_rewrite to produce .html pages. We need to redirect old URL’s to new URL’s. Existing site is hosted on windows IIs server and host will not allow access to ISAPI or htaccess so I need a script to do the redirects or some other means. We do use MySQL databases on old site if that helps. Script must return 301 when header is checked on old pages. Old site will remain up until new site is being crawled by bots. A project that will be underway in early 2010 will require some SAS programmers. Rather than my client hiring another SAS person to help me, I plan to propose to my client that I will manage the work myself with the help from someone (or several) of you off SL.

Some FAQs below:

Will it require any other programming?
No. These programs are all written in SAS 8.1 on the mainframe.

What does the project entail?
I will be combining two processes together. These processes are very large, cumbersome, and possibly inefficiently coded. One of them has hundreds of different programs in it. The other has about 50.

What will I do?
Because there are so many programs in the process, I will ask whoever I work with (one or many depending on the salary I negotiate with my client) to look at sections of the process to simplify while I do the same with other sections.

Will I have access to SAS or their data?
No for both. You must have your own SAS. I will make sure I give you tasks that does not require the data. Or, I will assign the task but test your coding changes myself on the data.

Will I need to know any SAS modules?
No. But, I will give preference to someone who knows SAS macros and SAS SQL.

How big are the datasets?
Even though you will not be working with the datasets, you must be familiar with coding for very large datasets. These datasets are up to 30 million records and can have up to around 200 variables. There are a few that have close to 500 variables.

What else can you tell me about the project?
The project is not yet approved, but, it is highly probable, which is why I am spending some money to find someone(s) to work with.

If it starts, it will probably be in February or March 2010.

In addition to knowing macros, and SQL (SAS SQL), I would also give preference to someone who knows JCL for MVS.

Can you tell me who your client is?
No.

The project consists of an online calendar to make bookings, the owner has an auditorium with all audio-visual systems.

this is the system flow:
1. If anyone wants to rent the auditorium, that person should separate hours on the website. To make a booking, the person must first enter your data, such as name, surname, telephone and email. Then select the hours and the person places a title for the event. also may select if need some equipment such as video projector and audio system, etc..

2. the system automatically sends an email to the person and the operator. In the email must appear the cost of renting the auditorium. The price varies as required (projector, audio..)
The system put on a label on the calendar as RESERVED. (This tag will be deleted automatically within 2 days if the person has not made payment for the rental of the auditorium.)
The administrator can change the expiration time.

3. once the operator knows that the payment was made for the rental of the auditorium the operator marks the event as paid. The system sends an email to the person and the operator to inform the reservation was paid, and the label that appears on the calendar changes automatically using the event title.

We are looking for changes to a site containing 4 to 5 PHP contact forms. The changes are as follows:

ALL FORMS
Ability to temporarily change destination / recipient email address. This does NOT need to be through an admin system, it could be a simple config file.

VEHICLE FORM
One of the forms is a vehicle enquiry form. This is displayed on the vehicle page; depending on the location ID, we would like to be able to set the recipient address, again in a config file. We would like this to be ‘switchable’ so we can revert back to just one email account receiving all submissions.

SERVICE FORM
One of the forms is a servicing request. This needs to be changed for the client to enter the preferred location. This information should be used to direct email to specified recipients (these recipients, like above forms, should be defined in a config file).

With all forms, it would be helpful if multiple addresses could be easily specified so more than one account receives submissions where possible.

The e-commerce site sells car / auto parts and spares. As such, each product added must be associated with one or more manufacturers and one or more models. These manufacturers / models are UK specific and a full list will be provided to any interested parties or the final bidder.

The following functionality must be added:

FRONT-END
Option for users to select their manufacturer – this will then auto-update the model list, where they can select their car model. This will then auto-update for their car year of manufacturer. Once completed, this information should be stored in a session to ensure that the various categories show only compatible parts / spares.

BACK-END / ADMIN
The admin system must be altered to allow each product to be assigned to one or more model choices. These models may also be under different manufacturers.
Also, there are certain products that are NOT manufacturer specific (for example, in car entertainment products which are not linked to any particular car model). The system must accommodate products and categories that aren’t linked to a specific car.
