General Requirements :

- the Design of the admin-panels must be the same as from feedwordpress
- the Plugin must be fully localized, so every string could be translated with poEdit
- strict OO Design and use of the current WordPress API (e.g. the WordPress-Widget API from 2.8)
- the described settings could be edited global (default settings) or for each feed (like feedwordpress)
- all meta-fields must start with an underscore, so the fields are hidden from the wordpress custom-fields section.
- add a meta-postbox to posts with fields for all meta-values

Required extension (to the existing feedwordpress functions) :

- New Section “Updating and Deleting”.
- Setting “Update existing post”. If set to false an existing post should not be updated by feedwordpress.
- Setting “Only import Post from the last X days”, where X is a numeric input. If this is set to a value > 0, feedwordpress should only import feeds that are not older than X days.
- Setting “Auto-Delete drafts after X days”, where X is a numeric input. If this is set to a value > 0, imported posts that are saved as draft should be deleted (with all tags and other data) after X days.
- Setting “Auto-Delete Posts after X days”, where X is a numeric input. If this is set to a value > 0, existing imported posts should be deleted (with all tags and other data) after X days.

I have a membership driven website that allows users to create profiles and have access to other features of the site. Currently after users sign up they are sent to the user interface. When users try to do anything else from that point (edit profile, etc..) they are redirected to the subscription page.

I am making a website and the page is oriented around a countdown system. If the timer ever reaches 0, the whole thing will stop. Below are the specifics:

I need a countdown timer that runs from 30 seconds to 0 seconds. If the timer is at 0 seconds, the script runs php code #1 (which makes the timer stop and if any user refreshes the page, it will still stay at zero).
There is also two buttons. If user clicks on button #1, the timer will get reset to 30 seconds remaining. Then the script will run the php code #2 (which allows the timer to begin counting down again from 30 seconds). If user clicks on button #2, the timer will get reset to 5 seconds remaining and same thing follows as the first button.

I want the timer counter script to between before certain hours (like let’s say, noon-4PM). I want the counter to automatically begin at Noon with the above instructions. Also, if by 4PM, the counter never reaches 0 (meaning it never reaches php code #1), I want the timer counter to stop, disappear, and a message appear over it to link it to a new page.

And obviously the timer should show the same number (seconds remaining) for all the users on the website!

We’re looking for a command-line (terminal) application/daemon that we can run on Red Hat servers. It needs to listen to BitTorrent’s DHT Network activity (see http://bittorrent.org/beps/bep_0005.html for more information) and generate statistics on a consistent basis in XML format of File-sharing activity and user queries. We need to compile anonymous data of which users have which parts of which transfers (0-100% complete, chunks, etc.) for analysis.

There are a lot of open-source BitTorrent clients that could be modified to accomplish this task. I think this is a fairly simple project but the daemon needs to be stable and run constantly without crashing.

Key variables we’re logging:
1) Infohash of the torrent file (for tracking related torrents… the torrent file itself has the file list so we’ll know the information about each file)
2) The peer’s IP address and the port that they’re using (to prevent duplicates only, this will be discarded)
3) Binary data representing which parts of the file are in possession by the user and which are NOT.

All of this information should be available by monitoring DHT and I’m curious to see how successful we can be in joining the network and collecting this usage information.
Looking to accomplish this quickly in order to begin live-testing.

Platform: Preferably we’d like to run this on a Red Hat Linux machine in just a Terminal instance. It doesn’t matter how it runs as long as it’s fast and reliable.

Introduction
Assessment of the Advanced Human-Computer Interaction module is based on individual coursework, by written report, testing both the knowledge and understanding of course topics and the application of these topics to an HCI/usability problem. The report will be based on an individual project carried out by the student over the course of the module.
Selection of Projects
Students will be encouraged to undertake HCI/usability projects of their own choice, on topics of interest or relevance to themselves. The selection of individual projects will take place during the early part of the module, in discussion with the module teaching team.
The main criterion to be used in judging the suitability of a proposal will be the extent to which it allows scope for the student to demonstrate the achievement of the module learning outcomes (see extract from module guide below for details on these). Although individual projects will vary in the extent to which they cover the full range of outcomes, all projects will be expected to address all outcomes to some extent.

The process of identifying possible projects and making the final choice is a significant part of the learning process. By carrying out this project selection, students will learn a great deal about the nature of HCI and usability, the characteristics of HCI projects, and the issues involved in identifying and evaluating such projects.

I need a custom block created in my Drupal/Ubercart site. It will be similar to the uc_catalog block that exists in ubercart, but use a different taxonomy vocabulary that I’ve created and assigned nodes to.
