We have an xcart system currently up and running on our server. We have two issues that need to be addressed:

1) We currently have the ‘Fancy Catagories’ plugin, which currently will only display 30 menu items before the bottom of the window cuts off the results. We need to fit more than 30 menu items on the screen. If possible, we would like the plugin to group items alphabetically only under the under the ‘books’ category’. For example:

Bookstore > Books > A-L > then list the results.

We need this menu grouping with to be done dynamically using either PHP or javascript. We do not want the client to have to modify his inventory database in order to have his books grouped alphabetically in the books product menu.

2) Also with the ‘Fancy Catagories’ plugin, we need to add a 2 second delay when the user hovers over a menu choice before the submenu appears. This same 2 second delay needs to occur when the cursor is moved away from the menu option and the menu closes. The problem we are having is that currently the cursor/menu is too sensitive and it is very easy to select the wrong category or close the menu on accident. A delay between when the cursor is over the item and when the menu changes should solve this.

MY APPLICATION

I have an application, which was written by an SL programmer, back in 2008 (I have since lost touch with him). The program works well, as I will describe it’s function.

The application is an e-card creator.

The user selects a .gif, .jpg or .bmp image of their choice. The user than selects an .mp3 or .wav file (again of their choice – music or a recording – it doesn’t matter). Once the user clicks ‘generate’, the application seamlessly adds the audio file to the user-selected image and an e-card is produced.

As stated, this process works beautifully.

THE PROBLEM

Since I own the source code, I have no problem doing little things (I am NOT a programmer – trust me), i.e., icons, graphics, some text here and there. The coding that makes this program work is WAY above my head.

However, the one thing I cannot change or do not have any apparent control over, is the end e-card. I can’t figure out how to change the icon on the end card (I want it to produce the e-card with the icon already in place) or anything else, like minor text, etc..

Heck, I’m not even certain what I am seeking can be done!

We have to fix a problem on our website (www.wireclothman.com). We need someone who knows the following:

- “UPSXML v137″ Shipping Module Contribution
Our problem is that our current Web Designer installed the “UPS Choice” Module which does not allow you to obtain your negotiated UPS Rates – only the Standard UPS Rates. So when the customer goes to get the price quote on the web site, the web site is supplying them with UPS’s standard shipping rates (which are too high!). Our company has negotiated rates w/UPS and that’s what we need to get our website to show the customer. The UPSXML v137 Shipping Module handles negotiated rates. However, I installed that, and it would not return rates from UPS. Instead, we received an error that says “41″ is not a valid State – when we enter NJ as the Ship to State. 41 is the code in the database for NJ. So the problem is that it is simply returning the wrong field. So we put the Web Site back to where it was before (Using the UPS Choice Module instead) so it will return quotes to the customer (but it is not returning the negotiated rates).

Where things get difficult lies in the fact that we can’t create a template do to this as sometimes the fields that are in one report aren’t in another and the graphics (that of buckets) need to correspond to the amounts in the report. There are roughly 43 possible fields to be entered in that will correspond to the mini presentation. We need the presentation to be viewable like a power point and e-mailable.
