Php Nuke Upgrade

I’ve been running PHP Nuke for a web site for several years. It works in PHP 4.X. I found that it doesn’t in PHP 5.X. The top index shows up blank.
Here is the site over in a test area running PHP 4.X.

Using the .htaccess file, the programmer can switch back and forth between PHP 4.x and PHP 5.X if need be.
I need the site upgraded to the most current released Nuke so that it runs with PHP 5.X.
I am not concerned with the skin colors at this time. But, I want the same categories/layout as the test site.
The programmer can use this test area to do the upgrade.
