Add Preloader To Swf

I have a quick and straightforward task to be done in Flash.
I have a SWF file (not FLA) to which I need a preloader added. The SWF was created as an export from InDesign, which does not add a stop action at the first frame.
For info on how to add the preloader, see the second-last post in the link below. Unfortunately I don’t have Flash CS4 or I’d have done this myself.
