Web Template Design And Coding
Our site www.weather-forecast.com requires a new template design in html/css. The site offers free 9 day weather forecasts for cities around the world, as well as webcams, weatherfinder and maps.
The requirements are as follows:
- width of main template to be no more than 1000px and accomodate all the body content seen on our current site’s pages
- left hand margin space to take 160×600 skyscraper
- header to accomodate 468×60 banner
- use existing logo, but optionally style it (fonts attached)
- the template also needs to have 3 pulldown menus incorporated in the header (see surf-forecast.com for idea) which will be for Country >> Region >> City. These can be dummy pulldowns for this project (we will insert our own javascript).
- Right hand margin 120px wide with the same content seen already at www.weather-forecast.com
- CLEAN web 2.0 appearance. Some sample ideas of websites we like below.
- footer containing a repeat of the site navigation links, copyright info and Meteo365 logo (as seen at foot of surf-forecast.com)
- project to be delivered as CSS/HTML files with assets so that we can build it to suit our content that is served by Ruby / Rails.
Please refer to our sister sites www.snow-forecast.com and www.surf-forecast.com to get an idea about how our sites work and are formatted. The site for this project is the same, but just branded for city weather.
Before commencing coding, the designer should submit designs for approval and revisions.
