Magento Migration

Hi,
i have allready working magento migration script for products.
I want t oadd one feature:
The script are in php and have one missing feature, to transfer and the Manufacturers (put this in Manufacturer field in products).
the original database are in mysql.
I want also litle help to config magento so when the customer see a product can see also and the Manufacturer name.
