Transferring Site To WordPress
I’m a web designer that will install WordPress and the agreed upon design (template) chosen by my client. I will be needing some assistance not only tweaking a few aspects of WordPress (I’m not a great programmer) but placing the content from the current site into wordpress pages.
What I’m looking for:
1) the site www.cpcasting.com is currently a static HTML website. On the new site, I will be creating 6 main “pages” in which I’ll need you to copy the old static pages into sub-pages. Once you copy content over, I will go through and likely format a bit. Hierarchies of internal pages from the HTML site need to be followed into the WordPress format. I’m sure, however, that WordPress allows further re-organization of pages & hierarchies if needed, yes?
2) assistance setting up Widgets down the righthand side of the site.
3) removing “categories” links in WordPress. This client will not need them. Categories can be used in the back-end for WordPress purposes, but ultimately the end-users of the site will not need to see “category” links or lists.
I’m looking for a 1-week turn-around time and can be flexible and work with you to answer any questions that arise.
Thanks!
