C# .net Asp Site Maintenance
I have taken control of a UK website which allows users to post holiday accomodation to rent and for holiday makers to contact owners of holiday accomodation. The website is established however it also has some bugs, design, feature & workflow issues. I need to form a relationship with a developer with the above titled skillset to resolve these
To be absolutely clear – This is a commitment on both sides to work together for some time to come. I need therefore to agree the following terms with someone :-
1 : Appropriate rates
2 : Mechanisms for payment and payment frequency (I am not going to make payments for every task, rather I am going to make a scheduled payment based on agreed time over over the period.)
3 : Absolutely trustworthy – Our database contains a lot of client information and I don’t want it leaking
4 : Responsive
I would be looking for the following services
1 : Update and maintenance of an existing site
2 : Implmentation of new features : And I have a batch scoped out
3 : Support of site
4 : Resolution of issues as they occur
So – Heres what I need in a developer and what I need to see to prove it.
1 : Absolute guru in the above technologies : I will be looking for a credible provable background in the above technologies. Sites you have worked on. References etc.
2 : A flexible open adaptable approach :
3 : The ability to agree a fix number of hours for a job and to bill against the total monthly
4 : A good value rate card
5 : A commitemnt to respect the confidentially of my client data
6 : All work done on my behalf belongs entirely to me. All site IPR remains with me and is not transferred
7 : Continuous availability when I need it. (I cannot be put in a situation where the site goes down for a week whilst you are on the beach)
