Teachers Website

December 6th, 2009

Need a non-WP website created for teachers.

The look of the site should be similar to teacher-focused sites,
including various education associations and teacher union sites.
Here are some examples:
http://www.aft.org/
http://teachersunionexposed.com/
http://www.uft.org/
http://www.wtulocal6.org/
http://www.ntuaft.com/
http://www.nea.org/tools/LessonPlans.html

Requirements:

1. Top banner and Banner ad for top of site: will need a banner
created to lead people to a squeeze page. All pages on the site will
incorporate this clickable banner.

2. Categories: links on page will have certain categories related to
keywords. Categories will be provided.

3. Hidden, non-indexed pages: I will need some pages on the site to be
hidden from search engines and not linked to from anywhere (orphaned).
These will be used in my autoresponders. These pages should not link
anywhere and should not show side menus.

4. Tools:
Include a very visible and easy to use “email this page” or “share this with your friends” tool on all indexed pages (but not on non-indexed pages).

5. Bottom: Copyright 2009 (website name) & links to the following:
-squeeze page
-category pages
-legal forms (will be provided)

6. Squeeze page: I will provide the long copy, basic form & 2 videos.
Please make it look good.

7. Ease of Use: (please note that I have no issue working with html
editors if I have basic templates set up)
I will need to be able to:
-update page content
-update meta tags
-add or remove links from the menus
-create new, hidden, non-indexed, non-spidered pages
-create new pages that are indexed, spidered and on the menu
-easily insert videos into some posts

8. I will provide:
-squeeze page copy with 2 videos
-basic aweber form for squeeze page
-articles for pages on site
-content for non-indexed / non-spidered pages
-google docs spreadsheet with all the necessary data.
