Instructions To Convert Audio

November 24th, 2009

Hello,

Firstly, we don’t need you to do the conversions. Just instruct us how to. So this should be an easy project that will pay well, if you know how to encode/decode audio and change an mp3’s sample rate.

OK, we have some mp3 files from a client that need to be streamed, but their streaming software doesn’t support the mp3’s sample rate of 12Khz.

Please find some software (preferably Open Source) for us that will convert the mp3’s to a new sample rate of either: 48KHz, 32KHz, 24KHz, 22KHz, 16KHz or 44.1 KHz

Hence, we would like you to find existing, free software that does what should be a simple “sample rate” conversion and runs on Vista. Plus we need you to write a step-by-step guide on how to achieve the conversion in a batch run as there are hundreds of mp3’s that need to be resampled.

This is a little different than normal SL projects. Hopefully someone can help us as our Google searches didn’t find any legitimate looking software or tutorials.

Payment will be into escrow and a generous bonus given if you help us well and quickly.
